Nice friendly service and a vast array of pub grub to choose from. They have specials of the day and the choices are quite adventurous. They are known for their Sunday roast dinners... I have tried them and they are fantastic. This time we ordered ham egg and chips...which hit the spot. And also the scampi, chips and peas, also good. Lots of memorabilia dotted all over the pub, Brass items, clocks etc etc...

Not a very "Bad Boy"…read more.... Whilst being on holiday last weekend, we discovered this place as our chosen pub was fully booked.... We arrived and were greeted by the barmaids who offered to take our drinks order before escorting us to our table. Our table was located on a stage which was a novelty. Each table is equipped with a X factor style buzzer which you could summon wait staff to provide you with more drinks, take your food order or get the bill. The menu is fairly large and has a good selection of options similar to any Harvester. All the meat is provided by the local town butchers which is always good. My girlfriend went for the Hawaiian Burger (Burger with melted cheese and pineapple ring).I decided I needed to go for something more challenging..... The White Horse Big Boy (2 burgers, melted cheese, pineapple ring and 2 rashers of bacon). I was initially quite impressed with my burger but after eating about half of it, it became a bit of a struggle as it came quite samey. If I was going to improve it I would add some kind of sauce or relish but that's my opinion. All the food was freshly cooked and hot. The desserts looked very nice and were displayed in a revolving glass cabinet. If I was in the area, I would maybe dine there again.

If you are male DON'T!!! visit this pub. The "Gents" toilet is the opposite side of the road from…read morethe public bar..It's a busy one way street...when we were there it was pouring with rain. There is no light, no hand washing facilities,and if you need "additional" facilities you have to ask for the key at the bar. When I complained I was told that I was the first person in 18 months to do so and if I wasn't happy there were plenty of other pubs in Launceston. On the bar were nibbles...I dread to think what these were contaminated with. I am now about to report this pub to Environmental Health or Health and Safety whichever is the correct Dept.
