So sad. I really wanted to like this place because it is 3 minutes from my home and I heard their fried chicken was quite good. The fried chicken is really good, so are the buffalo wings. The fries are slightly above average but they could have fried them until they were crispy. Everything else? Terrible. Firstly this place is a take out joint. We were told it would be ready in no more than 20 minutes (on a weeknight, order placed at 4:45 PM) It took an hour and 5 minutes. No apologies, not short staffed, not slammed with customers. Now for the food: Gyro - the smallest gyro we have ever seen and half of it was an insanely thick pita. This is a Halal place??? Onion rings - pathetic, I think they were from the supermarket frozen section. Philly cheesesteak - HALF the sandwich had NO MEAT, no NOTHING. 12 inch sub, they filled 5 inches of it maybe a quarter inch thick. Saddest philly cheesesteak I have ever seen. Adding insult to injury we asked for extra white sauce and green sauce, sure, no problem. They gave us nothing. The only thing in the bag was 5 ketchup packets. I tried to get a refund on the Philly Cheesesteak through the app that I ordered from. They contacted the restaurant who blatantly lied and stated that they delivered the order on time and that the sandwich was perfect. They lied over 7 dollars. Never again. Very clean looking establishment upon walking in. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and it was a nice feeling. We walked to the counter and I looked at the menu and immediately saw something that caught my attention which was awesome. He asked us how we wanted it and he he asked cash or credit which was cool. Stopped here after passing by on my way home from the outlets. Ordered the 'King Platter' which came with three proteins over rice and salad. We choose the lamb, (shredded) chicken and falafel. The lamb was my favorite of the three proteins. The falafel were a little softer on the inside than i'm use to. Their GREEN sauce was PHENOMENAL and SPICY, it certainly made the dish (and burned my tongue--fair warning)! Staff was friendly, and restaurant appeared to be clean. read more

I had to give this restaurant a try because of the location. I'm glad I did, I ordered a lamb gyro on a pita to go. It was very delicious, the yogurt sauce was very good, there's a strong dill flavor and I enjoyed that a lot. I expected the long strips of lamb meat like I usually get at other gyro places, but this one had strip-chunklike pieces. It was a bit harder to keep the meat in the pita, the chunks kept falling out. I'd go back, the flavors were very nice and the inside of the restaurant was updated and clean. read more

My new favorite Halal place in this area. I pass by this place all the time and finally tried it as I realized they were open late. I've been here twice now and it was a delicious meal both times. I had the "mix platter with rice and salad" ($7.99) my first time, but I found an even better option. They offer this option called the "King Platter", where for $9.99, you can choose three proteins between lamb gyro, chicken, fried fish, and falafel. I went for lamb gyro, chicken, and fried fish. All the proteins were delicious. The lamb gyro is cut into large chunks and had a decent amount of char from the grill. The chicken is really tender and flavorful. It's a much better chicken than what Halal Guys offers in Manhattan. The fried fish was a bit soggy, but probably because I took it home and it was steaming inside the sealed plate for 20 min. They give very large portions of each protein. Good thing the lids are convex, as there's no way they could close the lids otherwise. The rice is perfectly cooked and seasoned. They give fresh lettuce. And their sauces are amazing! The white sauce has some dill in it which gives it a lightness. The red sauce is not spicy, but adds a nice acidity to the dish. The best sauce is the green sauce. It's deceptively spicy and has such great flavor. Altogether, the sauces round out a delicious meal. They offer lamb gyro sandwiches for $4.99. But it's going to be hard not to order this King Platter each time I go. It's slightly more expensive than Noor Foods and Naz' Halal, but it's worth it for the quality, the quantity, and the taste. read more

So this Deer Park halal spot isn't much to look at inside but whoa do they serve up some great stuff. Got the mixed chicken and lamb over rice and it was the best one can get outside Queens. Both the chicken and the lamb gyro were full of flavor and the fragrant brown basmati rice ties it all together perfectly. Service behind the counter is fast and it's very cheap. If you're heading to the Tanger Outlets and crave halal then this little dive is a must. Just note that they have a small, tight parking lot to the left. I had a great experience with this King of Gyro in terms of service. I had ordered my girlfriend dinner to be picked up at King of Gyro of New Jersey since that is where we are used to and I was away for the weekend. After using their site I had realized I ordered it for the Long Island Location and she would not be able to get the food. The lady that helped me over the phone said she would take care of it and called the location in NJ and set it up so the food could be picked up in NJ. I made a great review of the food for the location in NB for 5 stars a while ago based on their food quality and service and my girlfriend made the review of the day! When I picked up the food, the teenager was just as impolite as he was on the phone. We ordered a side of fries and when I asked for ketchup, he said it was already in the bag. Just received my order and it was nothing short of disgusting. The meat looked questionable at best, the chicken was neon orange, and each gyro was mainly lettuce and pita with very little meat and definitely no tomatoes or onions. The meat in both the chicken and lamb gyros were not shaved as a traditional gyro. The cheese fries were straight out of the frozen section of a food store and had what appeared to be Velveeta dumped on top. We ended up not eating a single bite for fear of food poisoning. After reaching out through GrubHub (we ordered through this service), the restaurant refused to refund our meal, leaving us with about $30 worth of inedible garbage. I ordered from King of Gyro for the first time tonight through GrubHub, and its pretty tasty! There's a $5 service fee for delivery (which caused me to almost not order from them) but they have a coupon for $7 off of your first order so I said, "Ok why not?" I ordered the chicken over rice platter, and asked for extra white and hot sauce on the side. My order arrived on time, and while there was sauce already on the dish, they put plenty of extra containers of it outside. I figured if get one of each but there were three each! And the dill in the white sauce made it so tasty that I couldn't help but use all three. All in all, a really good place and I will be ordering from them again. Today, my friends and I decided to try Kings Halal for lunch. We ordered 2 grilled chicken wraps, a chicken sandwich, hot wings and French fries. The wraps was amazing! The chicken was grilled well done and had the right amount lettuce and sauce in the wrap. We all enjoyed the hot wings. We asked for extra hot sauce on the side because not everyone like hot sauce. I must say that the hot sauce is SUPER SPICY! If you love spicy then I totally recommend asking for the hot sauce. We also got the banana pudding for dessert. I LOVED IT!
