From living in four states over five years, and having a change of insurers in between a few times, it means we've probably seen about 10 different dentists and a multitude of hygienists between my husband and I. Our experience for our first visit at GF Dental was hands-down the best experience we've had so far. The office was organized, well-staffed, clean as a whistle, and everyone was so warm and welcoming. The process to make an appointment was easy and I love that you can fill out all of your forms online. I absolutely hate spending 20 minutes filling out forms and needing to arrive early before my appointment, so this is a huge plus. Their covid-prevention measures were also impressive. They have a system where they retrieve you from your car at your appointment time and then take your temperature, blood pressure, and other vitals upon arrival. They took tons of extra precautions during the appointment to sanitize everything and keep you and their staff safe. My husband joked before we arrived "this is going to be a weird dentist visit since we're wearing masks..." but of course they had all of the bases covered of course, so it was otherwise a "normal" visit to the dentist. Dr. Loehrlein spent her few minutes with each of us actually talking to us in depth about our dental health and also made an effort at small-talk with each of us. I know dentists are super busy when they're making their rounds and it was a full load of patients in the office from what I could tell, so the fact she even made an effort to chat about something other than teeth really speaks volumes about her as a professional and someone who is clearly invested and interested in her patients. Our dental hygienist Lisa was also FABULOUS - she was SO friendly and reassuring throughout the cleaning and pre-exam process. Neither of us are particularly squeamish nor fearful of dental work; however, in this staff's hands, I think even the most dentist-averse patients would feel totally at ease and calm. As mentioned, this is our latest choice of dentists in our new home in Rowlett, but am glad we made the choice of selecting this practice and looking forward to many good years being patients here.

I've never had a better dental experience. First, this place truly lives up to "modern" standards. The office is clean and filled with state-of-the-art equipment. If you are a new patient, the staff are even willing to give you the tour of the entire office. They even have monitors above your head so you can watch movies or listen to music. So honestly I'm a little skeptical and because I communicated that ; they offered to do additional x-rays for free but I'm going to get a second opinion because I just felt like they want to do more than is necessary and it is quite expensive even though they have a very luxurious office. Furthermore I sent my fiancé there because of my initial teeth cleanings. He ended up getting seven sealants on his teeth due to Dr.Kerbel's recommendation. Now he has more sensitivity to those teeth and he regrets having it done. He was also told by the office that his insurance would cover the treatments and then after he had it done the office then stated it would not be covered and he had to pay out of pocket. I find that inexcusable and I believe if the office makes that kind of error they should pay for it since they misspoke and Jeff was misled. 11/5/17 I have had to block their office from calling me. It seems Connie keeps calling me wanting me to change this review but she is part of the reason for my negative experience in the first place. They really need to stop badgering me and I am definitely not interested in returning for any more treatments. Please stop calling me and understand I do not want to rehash things.

Root Canal: Anxious no more after 10+ years! I didn't feel a thing…read more I have had severe anxiety going to the dentist since I was a child due to a traumatic experience. Today was a huge step getting a root canal procedure done for the first time in years. Got one done as a child and have been terrified ever since. I even started to tear up at the office. After my procedure not only have I been freed of anxiety, but now I am more confident going to get the rest of my procedures done. Dr. Oh and dental assistant Daniel were fantastic, very quick and through. Daniel made me feel at ease as he explained the procedure. He mentioned it was the easiest procedure to do and that Dr. Oh has had years of experience. I didn't feel a thing (not even the numbing needle).
