This was my first time eating at Kings and Queens and I didn't even know they had a food truck at Hanover's. This was my first time to hanovers too. My friends and I went for Sunday funday because they were having a DJ and a crawfish boil. When I saw kings and queens I chose that over the Crawfish. I was greeted whenever I walked up to the truck and the server was super friendly and even offered for me to taste the Jamaican punch before I bought it. I ordered the jerk chicken platter and it was so delicious. The food was cooked to perfection with such great flavor. The cabbage was my absolute favorite!!! This was a solid experience, but I'm still on the hunt for my 'go-to' Jamaican spot. The cabbage was incredible and perfectly seasoned; honestly, it was the highlight for me! The oxtails were savory and properly cooked, but just 'okay' for my taste as they lacked that fall-off-the-bone tenderness and the rich, sweet depth I personally prefer. The rice and peas were a bit 'meh' and could have used more flavor. That said, it wasn't bad everything was eaten and enjoyed! We came here on a sunny Sunday afternoon and found street parking easily. There were plenty of seating as well as the only people there at the time were playing a game on the volleyball courts. As for the food, we all ordered the jerk chicken plate. It was so yummy. The chicken slid right off the bone and was very tasty infused with that bold authentic Jamaican flavor. It was honestly one of the best jerk chickens I'd ever had. The rice and cabbage were nicely seasoned. I'm not normally a huge plantains fan but these were prepared to perfection. I absolutely loved the sweetness from it, and my baby sure did as well. I also got to try a Jamaican pineapple soda and sipping on that really took me to a tropical journey. This food truck is a bit hidden and tough to find from Google maps but I called and was able to get help over the phone. I had to walk through Hanover's to reach the food truck. I had the jerk chicken and oxtails. I was really impressed with my food. The jerk chicken was more of a dry than a wet chicken. It was incredibly delicious and had a nice smoky flavor. The sauce served on the side was a really nice addition to my meal. My oxtails were very tender, juicy, and flavorful. The plantain, cabbage and rice & peas were also good. This food truck can be found by that open space downtown Pflugerville opposite from the fire station, with a bunch of other good trucks. They have picnic tables out. Pricing was questionable. They have their prices in their cashier system, and the owner was willing to add to their price list board outside the food truck. The owner said to have challenges to get staff and now has it staffed with his mom who is the great cook. And the sales lady who is actually a 4th grade teacher needing a second job to come by nowadays, but actually want to step away and taking a break from Education and I can't blame her. Stumbled upon this truck at Hanovers after a full day of celebrating love at a wedding. Not sure if it was the drinks or being beyond starving or if this oxtail was truly some of the best I have had in years, but I devoured this large plate and left no crumbs. The party I was with had never tried oxtail before so I let them all try very small bites (it was that good, I didn't want to share, but they needed to know!). They were all so blown away by how tender, juicy, flavourful the meat was. The rice was cooked perfectly and don't even get me started on the bananas, that is always my favorite. The man who took my order was super nice and brought the food out to my table once it was ready and made it easy to pay there too. I will definitely be back, sooner than later. Hands down the best ox tail and jerk chicken I've ever had. Warren and his mother put a lot of love and care into their food, and it really shows. The ox tail was trimmed of fat and tender as can be. The jerk chicken had the heat from the jerk marinade but wasn't overpowering. It was tender and had a nice smokiness from the grill. Even the veggies were so good. We were visiting Round Rock for a dance competition. The previous night we tried another restaurant and the lady said they don't have beef patties. We first tried the Jerk chicken a couple of weeks ago at the Food Truck Park on Pecan St in Pflugerville. The owners were so kind as we got there at closing, we had never been before. They put together some of the most delicious Jerk Chicken considering they were closing up I was amazed they did. We were given there card so we could get there times and menu.
