Wow, this place has everything! Bingemans is not just a waterpark, it has mini golf, beach volleyball, indoor play gym, bowling, arcades, canoeing and campgrounds. As we only visited the waterpark, my review will only be based on what my family experienced. Bingemans is located in Kitchener and is easily accessible from all directions. The waterpark opens at 10am and we got there at 11am and still got premium parking (like the 4th spot from the entrance). The park does allow for one bottled beverage per person and does not allow outside food, but I still snuck in a few granola bars and bear paws. To get to the waterpark, you enter this huge facility that houses the arcade and indoor play gym. As we only had passes to access the waterpark, the 3-story indoor play gym would be an additional $10.95 per child. The arcade is pay as you go. For the waterpark, there are only 3 tiers in terms of height restrictions - under 42", 42"-48", over 48". Unfortunately, my daughter was only one inch shy of 48" so the only thing she could do was the carpet slide (you can have up to 4 racers at once), wave pool and the splash and play area. The splash and play had the big tilting bucket that dumps a whole lot of water on you and 3 different set of slides. For a kiddie structure, the slides are quite fast and you do get wet once you hit the bottom. I felt totally comfortable letting my 5&6yo roam free on this structure. The waves in the wave pool was weak, but the walk in design plus the circular pool area made up for it. I didn't go on any of the tube rides but it looked like there's a line at the bottom of the slide where you wait for the next available tube, then carry the tube up the stairs and wait for your turn on the slide. There are plenty of chairs all around the park. We didn't use their showers or change rooms, so I can't comment on that. My only complaint, and it's a huge one, is that the water was ICE COLD! The temp today was close to 30 degrees Celsius, but the water was frigid. The kids didn't seem to mind when they're playing in the water, but once you get out or was like me, just walking through the water, it was quite cold. Please heat your wave pool!!! There's so much that Bingemans have to offer and I can totally see my family returning in the near future. Gift of Lights. Very disappointed. Went last year and the best part were the lights out on the patio outside Funville. You could take your time, walk around, take fun photos. There were cool entertainers, hot chocolate /cider booth and fire pits. I was so looking forward to our guest from Victoria to see this. Very disappointed. read more

READER BEWARE!!!! HORRIBLE! I was really looking forward to going to scream park and had very fond memories going when I was younger. Either my memory is deceiving me or this place has gone horribly downhill because it was terrible. The scares are nothing more than a bunch of teenagers dressed up and is way more hype than anything. Anyways, there was a man with a goat mask (at the last house) who was making fun of everyone in line, as we approached him i thought great.. my turn. And just as expected he began making fun of me publicly humiliating me in front of dozens of people who were all just as shocked as me. This was honestly brutal and I will not recommend or be coming back. If I wanted someone to make fun of me I'm sure I could have saved the $50, and never had to experience such astonishing as well as disgusting treatment. I have to say our two 10 year olds had a fabulous time. I am glad it closed at 7:00 otherwise we would have been coaxed to stay longer. They had lots of slides to try out and decide their favourite. It is the first time we have gone somewhere where it was difficult to drag them away. From a grandparents side, they provided a lot of chairs and lounges with shade and not. They had a lot of staff patrolling and asking the kids questions ensuring they were comfortable with going under water as many of the slides have a thrill attached where they need to be good at swimming or going underwater. They had a great splash pad for the little ones. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to take their kids or grandkids to a fun park. read more

We camped here for 3 nights in a class B camper. We were situated in the lower level where they seem to place transients. We were near a large entertainment tent which was very loud at night and had a refrigeration truck parked outside which had a very loud gas refrigeration unit that went on off all day and night. Sleeping was not easy. The single rest room for the whole lower level (80+- sites) were dirty when we arrived and were never cleaned, even once, over the 4 days we were here. The sites are tight and not well maintained. Long grass, muddy, trash and holes. The only showers are 1/4 mile up the hill next to the main office. WiFi is only available also in the office area, They do not seem to pay much attention to the campground. Their interest and main business seems to be their entertainment centers, we will not be repeat camping customers. read more

Camped during late spring in a Yurt by the grand river. Badly maintained Yurts. Water collects inside the shelter. Beware of you vehicle tires. The construction guys working on the ovens (They are constructing campsites out of steel shipping containers behind the Yurts. Probably reaches cooking temperatures during summer), are careless and throw away exacto knife blades and other sharp debris on the driving path. Ruined a tire in my SUV that cost $180 to replace. I have recorded Phone conversations with park management personnel, who said they will call insurance after inspecting the shining blade fragment embedded in the tire and taking pictures of it. close to 3 months later and not a peep. Cancelled another booking that was made early spring, for camping during August. read more

My friend and I made the trek out to Bingemans Park for the Berlin Klassic, an all German car show. Porsches, Mercedes, VW and BMWs filled out the show. Since we were early for the festivities, we took a walk around Bingemans to see what was there. Besides the main building which hosts banquets (a U of Waterloo one was happening that Sunday) there is a camping area for tenting as well as a section of Yerts and as well small cottages for rent. There is even a small river flowing by the campsites looking nice and picturesque. We also noticed a water park with water slides which did not appear to be operating that day but looked complete and functional. The main area with the car show had plenty of free parking for visitors in addition to the main parking area where the car show took place. The Klassic show itself is highly recommended with plenty of cars to see and ogle and the on site dyno facility provided by a tuning company for $60 a session was icing on the cake! read more

We camped here over the summer. Great quiet campsite with friendly neighbors. Clean washrooms, even if they need updating. Office staff were awesome and helpful. Seem to have issues keeping the campground pool open, but we had waterpark passes, (great deal with camping) so we didn't care. Buy your firewood somewhere else on the way, the stuff I bought there was unseasoned softwood... Good luck burning that. The kids playground was awesome, but some jerk stole my daughter's new crocs, not their fault, and the staff were all trying to help. Small waterpark, but enough for some fun and kept the kids happy. The locals complained the lines were long, but being used to Wonderland and Wild Water Kingdom, it felt like there was no wait at all... No longer then a few minutes each. Longtime Seasonal Camper Kicked to the Curb for Having a Voice We have been seasonal campers here for 8 years, we even returned this year after a devastating flood which wiped the season out and everything we owned on our site (not counting the trailer) -- a loss of over $10,000. This year we came back because we wanted to be part of the rebuild of the campground with close friends we have made over the years. Though last year was a struggle to think positively after that terrible flood, this year has been even harder to bear -- all past seasonal campers, including us, have noticed a different feel -- which was expected since this was to be a rebuilding year for everyone that lost and returned -- you can even say it's been emotional. But to tell you frankly, the camping management does not care about its campers (seasonal or occasional). They have a created a 'Lord of the Flies' vibe within the seasonal sites, pitting campers against each other due to discrimination, double standards and simple pettiness. New rules were inevitable yes (due to insurance), though expected were still hard to swallow, however, the implementation of these rules is even worse since they are not being applied equally across all campers -- they seem to be arbitrary to say the least as to who you are in the park and how vocal you are. Between a new camping manager, who claims ignorance and is basically management's mouth piece, and a new onslaught of teenage seasonal workers, the campers continually are discredited, taunted and aggravate every time there is an interaction with any of them. The bottom line is the camp is still a disaster and campers are having a difficult time being helped, heard or empathized with without being penalized or banished like we were without cause -- Bingemans new motto should be "If you don't like it, don't tell us cause we don't care. We will just KICK YOU OUT". Customer service here sucks, management/owner are bullies and they seem to be proud of it! read more

would give this place 0 stars if i could.. but i can't so i have to give one. amusement center??? more like UNamusement center. came here for a birthday party and we couldn't do anything but eat at the sketchiest boston pizza of all time (and that's really saying something)... we paid for 7 people to mini-golf. the transaction went through, and immediately after they told us we couldn't play due to sounds of thunder. we asked for a refund and they said we could email the place and they would give us one. upon emailing they refused to give us a refund even given the circumstance. that's $80 down the drain because of the sounds of thunder? should be illegal. we came from way out of town and drove all day just to get to this place.. and couldn't do anything (everything was 6 people max, we had 7 and they would not make exceptions for us). the only activity that was completed was my girlfriend throwing up in the bathroom and then we spent the rest of the birthday party in the parking lot while it was raining - which was more fun than any of the activities we weren't able to do at this place. a total waste of gas, time, and money. will not be returning, EVER. read more

Worked as a bartender. Treated staff exceptional. Due to traffic arrived late for first shift, they greeted me and gave me a piece of brownie. The worst complaint I heard from other bartenders was how busy it was at some points during the event. I personally found the work very easy having worked much harder/busier events in the past. It almost felt over staffed and yet pooled tips were still good. Everyone was happy supervisors, guests, employees and security. read more

I really did used to like going here with the kids, but the place is just becoming more and more of a dump. I used to be able to spend 5 dollars and play one of the arcade machines for an hour, but now with the new card system I get 2 minutes out of 5 dollars. The water park has some really fun slides, but it's usually crowded. The change rooms are honestly disgusting. The floor is covered in a brown goo each time I go there and you can see people changing from outside the room. They have showers but the floor is oozing with slime and the 1 shower that works is cold water barely drizzling out from a well. Mr.Bingemans, you are one greedy rich ba****d. read more

I just want to let you know that I camped at Bingemans Campground this past weekend June 30-July 3 2017. when a campground says that they are a Resort you expect the best. Let me tell you how disappointed we were in Bingmans Campground. #1. I was asked to read the rules and to follow them upon entrance, not sure why they asked this since their rules are not enforced. 2. No playground.sure they have an indoor playground that has a fee but no playground for the kids at the campground to play on. 3. The campsites are overloaded with lots of people. I was camping at one site and the two sites next to us had 8 tents over 20 people on the campsite. My parents who camped down the alley away from me had a family of over 20 people at their campsite. The loudness from all these people kept us up quite late into the evening and we made a complaint in the morning. Which we were told we were not the only ones to complain and they would look into it. By the end of the day I went back to the office to complain again as I had not seen anyone look into the complaint or address the issues from the morning. I asked for a security number to call after 11 for when the noise would be too loud. I was told that there was no number but they would definitely have security come down. Let me tell you that when I'm camping I'm there for outdoors,fire and Stars. Not for disco lights and karaoke and yes this happened across from our campsite from 10 at night to 4 in the morning. If I wanted a dance bar that's where I would go not a campground. Worst camping weekend ever, definitely will not recommend this campsite to anyone we know. this review is for Bingeman's catering service. Tonight was the company Christmas party at the Homestead Suites in Waterloo, catered by Bingemans. Dinner was supposed to be at 6:30. There was a never ending succession of hors d'oeuvres, none of which were particularly remarkable or tasty, but they just went on and on, SLOWLY, passed around table after table one diner at a time by one staff member. Finally, at approximately 7:10, they brought in the roast. Everything else had been sitting around in warming trays for a good hour or more. Well, why did we have to wait so long for the roast? It was so overcooked and well done, and tough, the entire piece of meat and it was big, - now maybe if they had served it at 6:30 as was supposed to happen... and not cooked it an extra 45 minutes or more... The veggies despite being in the hot tray were undercooked and near raw. The salads were meh, except for the ceasars salad which was buried under so many mounds of croutons and etc., it was darn hard to find any lettuce at all!! Potatoes? so called roasted and tasteless. Turkey? thin slices of turkey breast, which did not come off a whole bird, some kind of rolled round turkey roast? Bread stuffing - gluey - nasty, flavorless. Desserts? OMG - The cheapest kind of chocolate cake, cheesecake and some vanilla cake with a lot of white icing on it. (shudder). Coffee? I needed a coffee after that meal. Well, it had been sitting for more than 1.5 hours at that point. It was so dark and over brewed that 5 pots of table cream would not save it. Worse than that - it was almost cold. Lukewarm anyway, not what you want in a cup of coffee. All in all a pretty horrible buffet from Bingemans. The worst we've ever had at any of the Christmas parties. First time at Homestead Suites, and first time (and we hope the last) using Bingemans catering. read more

Stayed the weekend after labour day, $40/night for a campsite on the Grand River-the bank of which is covered in smashed beer and liquor bottles. Our site had discarded clothes and trash in the bushes and the fire pit, cigarette butts all over the ground, and a fire pit that looked like the ashes hadn't been cleaned out for a good while (most of the sites looked like this). They also started the lawn tractor at 8:30 and kept it going until we left around noon (just after a group of seniors on a nature walk traipsed directly through our site). Go to a Grand River park instead. read more
