I decided to go with this shop after a few good reviews. This was going to be my second tattoo…read moreafter 8 years because I had a bad experience with my first at a different shop. I explained to the studio my worries and was reassured that they did nice work with clean lines. The day of my tattoo I noticed the design wasn't what I submitted, fine. I also noticed something seemed "off" with the design. I thought maybe it was the placement so we replaced it. It turns out it was the stencil itself that was crooked and it didn't show as prominently until after. I didn't get to pick my artist and the one who did the piece was only 2 years out. Once they were finished I asked to go over one of the lines to connect it more and they double lined it. You can tell where the line was redrawn because it made a new line rather than going over the one that was there. They then walked me through the after care which was another concern of mine. They told me that it would be healed in a week or two, wrong. It took several weeks for it to heal and the line weight is very uneven on the piece and some lines even disappeared. I reached out to the shop to ask about touch ups as it was mentioned the day of the tattoo but they haven't responded. I sent the email almost a month ago. I'm pretty annoyed as I would love to try and even out the line weight but I'm thinking it'll get screwed up even more. Safe to say I will do more research before getting another tattoo and make sure I look into the artist/their work. Next time I will be sure to be more stingy with how I want my design to look.

I didn't feel intimidated and they were really good about explaining proper care. I also got my first tattoo here. It was small on my lower back. I'm going to be honest when I say the guy that did it was a total a-hole. He never told me how to sit, where to go, ask me where I wanted it or how big. He told me not to move and when I breathed, he yelled at me and gave me a "Jesus! I said don't move!" So, yeah that was not the best experience.

I got my cartilege pierced here and they did a good job (all pierced with needles, no guns). Allegedly it was also a discounted piece :/ You can see the proof in the pictures below. The first tattoo appointment took around 8-9 hours and it looked good at first. I was super tired and just ready to leave once it got late. But I knew it was not done right when it started to heal. I have other tattoos and both of them look like I got them just a few months ago. When she did this tattoo the needlework was not done deep enough into the dermus layer and the entirety of the work went into the epidermus layer instead, since the cells in the epidermis heal quickly. I essentially had a semi permanent tattoo. This work caused it to fade rapidly. This tattoo was missing lines and outlines less than a month after I got it. Two months later I was missing whole sections of my piece and the middle parts of the flowers. The red from the lady bug was basically gone. While I believe Mrs. Pio is a talented artist, I do not believe she should be tattooing. I messaged her November 15th, less than two months after she did it, and we set up a touch up appointment for an additional $70 for mid December. The touch up appointment was easily 4 hours because almost all of the piece had deteriorated. I let her know beforehand that the piece needed a lot of work. I felt like I shouldn't have even paid for it. After the touch up, the piece definitely improved, however, it is a super light tattoo and the line work is not done well. There are still missing sections in the leaves and the body of the snake on my tattoo. The red from the lady bug is completely faded too. All in all, I would not recommend getting tattooed here or by this artist. The piece has not aged well despite me taking very careful care of it. I am now in the process of paying another artists to re touch the entire piece. I would also like to note there are very few pieces that this artist posts online that are actually healed. Most if not all pictures are right after it was done or retouched. I honestly feel like her portfolio was deceiving as I was super excited to get the piece done and it looked great right after. Based on the pictures on the profile I thought I was going to get a piece that looked very different. Please save your money and go to an artist with more experience and someone who posts all stages of their work on their portfolio.

I only wanted to try this shop because it was convenient but I am going to go somewhere else that will not turn me away no matter what size the tattoo.
