This is catfish and medium shrimp? this was not worth the $40 family combo. The food as you can tell is FLAVORLESS & OVERLY COOKED!!!!! We also called ahead 20 min prior to grabbing the food that had not been cooked yet. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!

Not even a full scoop of potato salad !

The owner is very inpatient & nonchalant ! The fish is good sometimes , sometimes it's not seasoned . Do not Order a jar of oysters he only gives 6/7 tiny pieces that's probably why he doesn't sell half jars . He's over priced and the sides come in a condiment cup 3.25 ounces !

    These are not jumbo shrimp.

I found this place a month ago or so. The first visit I was so excited because we had a fish place in our little city. My first visit was fine although I had to pay $3.00 extra for a side of collard greens which okay, that's fine. The portions were a bit small but the food was great. Then I went for a visit today. I was extremely disappointed. The portions were as if they cut the catfish fillet in half. I only received 3 hush puppies and then my jumbo shrimp wasn't jumbo at alI. I would've given them 5 stars for taste alone but had to give 3 for the extremely small portions. As you will see the macaroni salad was placed in a container you'd normally put sauces in. I did eat 2 shrimp before I put it all on a plate to show the small portions I was given. I'll probably be heading back to Moreno Valley for my fish. Don't get me wrong the food is great but I would like a bit larger portion for what I paid.

The food is fresh and delicious, I wish this place had better air conditioning because it's can get hot inside. Everything else is great.

We first tried them at an event where they catered the ceviche and it was so good we had to ask where it came from. If you know ceviche, you know it's either great or it's not--and this one is absolutely great. We've been coming here ever since. There are two locations--this review is for the Moreno Valley one--and Yes, it can get busy-but the seafood is fresh, the prices are right, so its very much worth the wait. This spot is open daily. We love seafood, and will definitely be back.

They also have some other items for sale like beverages, tostadas, spices, and surprisingly some sushi grade items. There are no tables, so don't expect to be able to eat here, unless you take it to your car. We got some ceviche and aguachiles and everything tasted good and fresh, but a little bit too salty for us. We will be back in a few days to try the cajun boil, and may buy some of the frozen seafood for making our own dishes.

Big Fish Market - Here is a pound of fried catfish and a pound of filet of sole, that we will complete with our homemade sides.

So we went back to Big Fish Market again…read more We got our usual catfish and filet of sole order. We like to do takeout and put our own homemade sides. Our phone order was ready when promised and I was out shortly after entering. When you order the sole you can choose from medium or crisp for finish. We got medium. And most pieces are big. Everything is tasty. They have a few tables and a TV, if you want to dine in. It's not crowded and the noise level isn't a problem. We have been coming for years and plan to continue to come by every few weeks.

I placed my order and was given an estimate of fifteen minutes. If possible, it would be better to call ahead. The seafood came out fresh and steaming, while my mac salad had clearly been portioned in advance. *Fried Oysters: these were on the smaller side and had a rather neutral taste. The breading was light and seemed to lean toward a cornmeal mixture. There was not much flavor overall, so the oysters depended heavily on the sauce. The spicy tartar sauce had a nice zing, though I wished lemons had been included. *Mac Salad: not my favorite version. The macaroni was quite bland and noticeably firm. It lacked the creaminess I expected and the seasoning relied almost entirely on the relish, which made the dish very sweet and sour. I was not able to finish the container. The seafood was acceptable but nothing about the freshness or flavor truly stood out. I would eat it if it were placed in front of me--just not the mac salad.
