Holy moly! This burrito is not playing!! It's the size of my paper plate, I should have weighed it, it's as big as a newborn baby! The size is insane, but so is the flavor!! The neighborhood Ring app recommended this place for its tamales. It's on a corner, but not a well-trafficked street. I can see why people don't know about this place. There was plenty of parking. When you walk in, you immediately see their eating area with 3 small tables. The inside was nice and clean. There was a small selection of fresh meats and a few aisles, maybe 4 or 5, with other products. I did end up getting a $5 carne asada mulita and a $4 pork tamale to go. The mulita was a bit bland and was a little skimpy on the meat. The tamale looked like it was store bought, not made in-house; nothing special. I like mild to medium salsa; what I was given was a bit spicier and needed salt. Service was nice, pleasant. As I paid and left, they said "Thank you for coming." I'm sure they appreciate all customers they can get. It's nice to know there are some small businesses hidden in the neighborhoods. I try to support them as much as possible. read more

The first time we stopped in was just to see what they had inside. The owner was very inviting and generously offered us tacos (complementary) and asked us if we wanted to have a seat a grab a drink. Tacos were the best carnitas I've had in a long time. They have a kitchen at front and the meat counter in back. This morning I tried their chilaquiles and my hunny got huevos rancheros con asada. Meat was fresh, tender, and very flavorful. Chilaquiles were awesome. Generous with the queso. So delicious. The huevos rancheros sauce was sooooo good and so much flavor! They have a seating area, clean and great customer service. Lots of options for cold drinks or beer, we saw a lot of to go orders while we sat and ate. The meat prices also are reasonable and quality is great. Happy to have them here close to home. read more

Beware of increase of prices at the restaurant portion of this tiendita. They won't tell you that the prices vary from what's on their menu and what is being charged at the register. I ordered the same thing both times, a week apart with no change in the menu price but the register price, there was an increase. It felt wrong and I wouldn't have minded if they told me at the time I ordered. I worked too hard to be placed in this position. I would give them credit and one star because the food is good. I attempted to call the owner to discuss my disappointing experience, but the phone was constantly busy. It pains me to write this review because this used to be my go-to place for good tacos, but on 8/29/25, they lost me as a customer. I ordered the 2-taco combo, and the tortillas were hard and almost crunchy, clearly stale. One of the tortillas even appeared to have ripped, but was still used to make my taco. The beans looked and tasted different from what I usually expect, and they were served cold. Additionally, there were no limes in the tray, but I noticed some large pieces of carrot, which are typically soft and edible. Instead, these carrots were hard, as if they had just been cut and thrown into the container. When I opened the container, I found a fork sitting on top of the meat in one taco and a spoon on top of the meat in the other. I live just one minute away from this place, yet when I arrived home, nothing in the container was even slightly warm. Unfortunately, I ended up throwing the entire plate into the trash and will no longer be ordering food from here; I will take my business elsewhere! read more

Just got home from picking up the Mexicano breakfast burritos. This is my second time here and I was not disappointed. In a time where similar places are cutting back on portion and raising prices they are not! This was by far the best in town and I can't wait to go back and sample more from their extensive menu. Prices are a little high but worth it considering portion. My wife and I shared one burrito and still have some left. Lastly the people are all polite and friendly which is sometimes rare.
