As an Asian buffet connoisseur, I was pretty disappointed with Kingdom Buffet. Upon entering, the interior is dark, but tastefully decorated. There's even a turtle who lives there in the water feature who was just chilling on a rock and that's pretty cute. We quickly learned that the food was simply not up to par. The crab Rangoon was the worst I've ever had just very brittle and overly sweet. Every chicken dish and dumpling was dried out. There was no sushi, but there was kimbap, which I tried and found to be dry and severely lacking in flavor. There were a few things that were ok like noodles and rice. As far as a Chinese buffet it's lacking. I haven't been here in ages but a recent visit shows how bad things have gotten over the years. It's an old restaurant and pretty dark and dingy. The carpet hasn't been changed in years and probably is teeming with fungus. Their tile is always greasy and you definitely need to walk gingerly, lest you fall on your butt, like my daughter did many years ago. I'd steer clear of the "sushi", yes definitely in quotes. Their fried rice is a weird yellow color and quite bland, stick with the steamed rice. Noodle dishes are pretty good. Most of the American Chinese dishes like General Tsao chicken, spare ribs, bourbon chicken, sweet and sour chicken are okay. Overall most of the dishes are the same as any other Chinese buffet but some are terrible and I've left here the last few times regretting crossing the threshold. I am not a huge fan of Americanized ethnic food at all, but that's what you get when you go to an Asian buffet in this area. So a few times I have just needed to eat and this was the easiest choice. I am told by relatives and friends that this is the best Asian buffet in Elizabethtown. And last year I went here on Christmas Eve with some extended family. I am not overly impressed with the offerings here but they do have enough items that I can find certain things I do like to eat. They do have the ubiquitous seafood Mayo dish that almost all Asian buffets have in the area but their's does taste better in my opinion than other places I have tried. The other main dish offerings are all the regular stuff that you find anywhere. They have good pot stickers and dim sum dumplings. They do Mongolian barbecue as well if that is your thing. One item that I really do enjoy is on their dinner buffet and that is on demand carved medium rare prime rib. Service is hit or miss depending on which section you are placed in and I have seen servers openly request or remind diners to tip. In summation, I can safely eat here and be satisfied. read more

Initially my spouse went here a few weeks ago and I stayed behind unpacking another box as we had just moved to E-Town. He left a great review. I accompanied him yesterday, 4/21/2023 and was not disappointed. There is a plethora of offerings, from soup and salad to normal and special desserts. Entrees numbered so many I lost count. Each was replenished when needed. Everything was hot and plentiful. The price should be higher, given all they offer. And the prime rib was delicious. Finally- Must have made some changes. Gave it another chance. A place to get good Chinese food at a decent price. Long time since I have seen any Chinese restaurant with Dim Sum. Bleh... my daughter and I wanted to try something new, and opted to take a chance on a Chinese buffet... took one for the team on this one. We arrived about 1115, it opened at 1100, so it wasn't full at all. Now the bad... first we noticed the place was cold, which wasn't pleasant since it was cold outside. This was a quick trip for a to-go order of crab rangoons as we already had other plans for dinner. However I was in the area and could not resist grabbing some to take home. Their crab rangoons are cooked fresh but are deep fried triangles stuffed full of delicious crab and cream cheese mixture. I highly recommend these if you are even in the area. I have never rated a restaurant this low before. I ate lunch there today at around 12:30. The fried dumplings were cold and extremely greasy. I sampled the chicken and broccoli, the pepper steak, hot and sour soup, and teriyaki chicken. None of the items I sampled had any flavor. Each entree lacked even basic salt. They have four big buffets filled with Chinese vegetables, beef, chicken, and several kinds of seafood, not to mention the best fried rice, won tons, egg rolls and seafood stuffed mushroom caps! Food is actually pretty good. However, they offer military discount, our bill was $46.93 and after showing our military ID the waitress deducts off $1.00. We were like how is that 10% off. She says even though we had 5 military people dining there, we only get 10% off 1 meal. Is that the most ridiculous thing you've ever heard. We love to go here because we all get the various things we like. Price is kinda high. The times we have gone the place was clean and not crowded. The salad bar could use a change in variety though but everything else is good. It's not for the health conscious. It has a large dining area, wait staff is always nice. Three times now I have gone in after 4 pm for dinner and paid the dinner price to find the buffet half empty and the food that is there is dried out and obviously left over from lunch. One of the cooks brought a cart with refills for the mushrooms, mixed veggies and two other non protein containers. She hid a container of Chinese ribs back by the door to the kitchen. When I asked for one, I was told "no, no. dinner, dinner". I told her I was paying for dinner (and I did). I think this explains the mystery of the empty buffet. Obviously they are not filling the buffet with hot fresh proteins until they think the lunch crowd are gone. Since you pay when you leave and after 4 IS dinner price, I don't understand what the problem. This was Monday night and $10 for dinner. This is the last time I pay $10 for some bland dried out food. This also is not my first encounter with their "food police" Recently, I was there on Thursday after 4 pm which means the higher dinner price of $14. The container which should have had snow crab legs was empty. I asked the woman hovering over the buffet when they would be bringing out more crab legs and in an excited voice she told me "crab legs $2 more for dinner only $2 more". Again, I was paying the dinner price! Over the years, I have eaten there 3 or 4 times per month. The owner used to be there and when he was the buffet was always full and fresh and the kitchen not policing the buffet. The food was tasty. I have not seen him there in a long time. This place is awsome I've eaten there loads of times. The staff is always great and very cheerful. I had them make me beef and broccoli and was given a big bowl for the family at no extra charge. It's always very clean as well. It's not the cheapest but I don't mind to pay a lil more for the service and the food. My wife kills the crab legs for dinner when we go there also.
