Waitresses are all very nice and polite! Boyfriend had some breakfast plate and coffee, I had my usual corn dog with fries and salad, and a margarita. Our meals were great. Beans served with his breakfast were well seasoned and delicious. Fries are noticeably freshly made and so tasty - and I'm picky about fries. I guess my only complaint would be my drink - both today and on our previous visit, they seem to have changed their margarita mix or recipe - it tastes different and I liked it better before. Too bad because this place used to be in my top-3 fave margarita spots (with Antica in Niagara Falls and Little Grill in Littleton NH!).

I ordered king eddy breakfast that comes with bacon, rye bread, 2 fried eggs and very small cup of chili (sample size you get from supermarket). I also upgraded to poutine. The breakfast are decent. Enough for leftovers for dinner. Steak and eggs. Steak was flavorable. My wife ordered scrambled egg with it, plus white toast. Decent. Kids ordered pizza. Pizza isn't that good. I think they have partnership with next door lil z pizza. Flop. And not as good as pizza pizza. Corn dog kids also are men. Services was excellent. Waitress was attentive. Nice and smiling.

I had been wanting to try Kingburger for years, but every time we were in the area, we were always just passing by and had to get to where we were going on a specific schedule. This past weekend we had some time and stopped on the way home. My husband and I each got a King Cheeseburger and split a large poutine. The King Burger has two beef patties, triple bun, Kingburger sauce, and fried onions. The cheeseburger just adds cheese. The patties were real, homemade beef patties. They weren't too thick or dense and were juicy. The cheese was real cheese slices and not Kraft singles. The fried onions were good, not too many and not overwhelming. The Kingburger sauce seemed mostly like a mix of ketchup and mustard and there was far too much for me - I would've liked to taste the beef more because it was really great! I was also hoping to give more burger to our little kiddo without the sauce or just minimal. The buns were nothing special, but were fresh, soft, and helped soak up the sauce. In fairness, I like light sauce, whereas my husband likes everything super saucy and he really enjoyed it. All in all, it's definitely a good burger and I might try the Super Burger next time, which also comes with back bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and subs fried onions for raw. The poutine, unfortunately, did not the have cheese curds I was craving, but the gravy was very tasty and the fries were so perfectly crispy. As a big cheese lover, dare I say that I might just order fries and gravy next time. The portion was pretty big, too. Super affordable, weekday specials, and fast and friendly service. Love a small, local, family-owned restaurant that's been around for ages. There's a patio to the side and parking, but no indoor seating and truly a drive-thru with a drive-in theatre restaurant vibe. I'll need to try one of their many milkshakes next time. They also have a "cruise night" with classic cars, which would be awesome to check out.

It's my first time seeing this pairing…read more Usually big multi-national chains are co-located with other big multi-national chains, not smaller local businesses (they have about 5 locations, all in Ottawa). So big multi-national fast food chains such as Burger King are usually not my first choice for dining experiences, but I had to drop off my car at the dealership for service and this was across the street and allowed me to get a quick bite before dropping off my car to avoid hangriness, lol. I also had a coupon to get 10 chicken nuggets and fries for $3.99. The place was empty around 6:30pm on a Thursday. Service was really quick and nice enough. The food was satisfactory for what it was. They didn't short change me on the number of nuggets, which has happened to me on several occasions at other locations. My order was correct, and the food was hot. The taste was good for what it was. This Burger King is in a plaza. Not sure who designed the parking space in this plaza, but I'm not impressed. It's not all open and there are a lot of barriers, so you end up driving around looking for that opening where you can get out of one zone, then you have to drive around looking for another opening to get out of the next zone. Stores are in clusters with lots of open spaces in between. Each cluster has its own parking "zone." I hate it and avoid this plaza for that reason. Nothing unique in the plaza anyway. Kind of went off topic there, sorry. Bottom line: the Burger King here is good. The parking space in the plaza is not good.

Burger King (Hunt Club Road)…read more I bought lunch for my family at Burger King (Hunt Club Road). It was a take-out order, purchased inside of the restaurant. We have been regular customers at Burger King for more than a few decades. They aren't the best hamburger restaurant, but usually the food is okay. Lately, we have found the quality and freshness of Burger King food has greatly declined. When eating our meal, we found the French fries were mushy (overly soft and limp) and the burgers had no real flavour. The most disappointing item in our meal was the hamburger buns. The hamburger buns looked nice enough at first glance. Upon eating our burgers, we found the buns to be stale tasting, dry, flavourless and they literally fell apart (crumbling) in our hands when we took the first few small bites. I believe that Burger King is now buying below standard buns and other food items. Later in the day, I contacted Burger King and spoke to a man who identified himself as the restaurant manager. The manager never took this opportunity to acknowledge my concerns. He went off on a verbal tangent, talking too fast and quickly became totally incoherent. Given this manager's arrogant and condescending behavior, I will never go back to this Burger King location. I paid almost $80.00 for our lunch and everyone in my family was extremely disappointed with the food prepared for us. Given the unacceptable food quality and a total lack of concern expressed by this manager, we won't be going back to Burger King.

I was blown away by all the meat, the prepared goods. Burger counter. Some seating. Freezer choices. Some dried goods, bread. I got away with Chorizo, some lean ground beef and some beautiful olive oil. Is this place cheap? No! But, I pay for quality without batting an eye. Especially foodie stuff. Next round was a Tuesday aft. Ahhh. Better. I could see everything, not so packed. It was just after a long weekend so some things were sold out but I grabbed more lean beef, a chicken parm portion, a beef Jamaican patty and a stuffed potato. All were good! The chicken portion from the fresh cabinet was $11.50! More than my lb of ground beef! But it was a filling piece and fed me x 2. I love this place.

The Short Version: Good smash burgers, fries and lobster…read morerolls. They have vegan versions too. The Long Version: My husband and I just happened upon Killer Buns while walking around the area. It's where Indian Express used to be (we had no idea it closed). Killer Buns is in the basement and Hangout is on the first floor (Hangout relocated here from 839 Somerset). It was Aug 31, 2025 and I was lured in by the signage saying smash burgers, but alas they said they weren't actually open and were just serving invited guests to a tasting of their vegan menu, but their soft opening was the next day and their soft opening specials were $10 smash burger, fries and a drink and $20 lobster roll, fries and a drink. So I said I'd come back the next day. And I did. And I got one of each of their special combos for my husband and I to share. The smash burger was good. It came with cheese, chopped raw onions and pickles. I liked that it was a plain bun without seeds. The meat had a good flavour and was nicely smashed with crispy edges. I think smashed burgers usually come with minimal toppings, but I would have liked to see some sliced tomatoes and lettuce on the burger. I think this would have elevated the taste. The fries were hot and crispy and tasted like chip wagon fries :) The lobster roll was ok. It's no Luke's Lobster, but we're also not Maine, lol. The lobster meat was just satisfactory in my opinion, but at least I did get a small claw and a few small chunks. There's celery and green onions in it. And it wasn't excessively mayo-laden, like at some places. It was on the small side, the size of a small hotdog bun. Service was good. I chatted with a guy there who might have been one of the owners (?) He said they used to run a food truck and did catering and served food at Bluesfest. They've also been doing smash burgers since 2019. The restaurant is small with just a few seats inside. They do have a small patio out front too. We took our food to go. I read on their socials that they serve vegan food and they have a separate fryer for their vegan items and a separate grill/flat top. So this may be a draw for vegans. Street parking only. I had never had a smashburger before and did not think it was even possible using plant based ingredients, but Killer Buns nailed it! And the fries are perfect.. fresh cut and not at all greasy. The food was very fresh, very very good tasting. A lot of restaurants that offer some vegan or vegetarian foods resort to using pre-frozen highly processed fake meats, but not Killer Buns. Everything is made from scratch using fresh ingredients and wonderful seasonings. The place is small being primarily for takeout, but there is seating inside and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Service was very fast, friendly and attentive. We will be back again and again.
