The setting is 5 stars for certain! However the servers and bartenders were absolutely awful!!!! I have never been to a wedding where you are not allowed to choose what you want to eat from the buffet! The first 2 selections had bell pepper (which I am allergic) and the other pan had chicken which I am a vegetarian so I couldn't have any from the first 3 selections. So I ask the server if I can have macaroni and cheese and I am rudely told "No you can't eat the macaroni and cheese, its for the kids". (There were 3 kids total in attendance.). I ask the server, "What is in that pan (lid was on)?" She says "That is roasted vegetables and for vegetarians only". I tell her "I'm vegetarian" and she completely ignores me and won't give me any vegetables! The bartenders were just as rude. If you ordered a mixed drink, you got 1 1/2-2 shots of vodka but if you asked for a plain double vodka - NOPE. They acted like asking for a double was a crime. But if you asked for 2 single vodkas - no problem! So stupid not to mention a waste of plastic glasses.

Kingan Gardens is absolutely stunning. Whenever we first walked in, it was breathtaking. I knew pretty quickly that this venue was what we were looking for. It has a backyard wedding feel to it. All different kinds of plants filled every inch of the venue. Flowers, bushes, and trees are very pretty year round. Shelia was with us every step of the way through the entire planning process. We were allowed to visit the venue multiple times and was in constant email contact with her. We got married in January and could not have asked for more beautiful weather and such amazing help from Sheila and her crew. They were there all day long helping our event run as smooth as possible. Decorating went pretty well; we hired someone to help, but my family had to help a little more than they anticipated. The ceremony space and reception space came out beautiful, even though our flowers were completely wrong. Ceremony went very smoothly, guest were seated correctly, and it ended perfectly. When the guest were heading to the cocktail hour on the side of the property, we got ready to take all of our pictures. Sadly, the guest were allowed to sit at their tables to soon so dinner was served almost a full hour early. That put a huge time constraint on our picture time, and the rest of the night if were being honest, so we were unable to get all of the pictures we wanted. Our DJ was all over the place and confused of when to start things because all the times had been moved up so much sooner than planned. I highly recommend making sure the venue knows NOT to allow cocktail hour to be cut out early or for dinner to begin before it is supposed to to avoid any time issues for your special day. Clean up was left to Shelia and our families, so they were there kind of late and had to stuff as many cars as they could to get everything off the property. Overall, I think everything did turn out fine though and the whole event was a blast. My fiance and I did not freak out about all of the bumps we had, so we talked, drank, and danced the night away! I do recommend this venue fully! It is definitely an up and coming and will continue to improve and become on of the well known venues in Tucson!

I was part of the most beautiful wedding here! If you are looking for an absolutely charming place to host a wedding, look no further because this is your place! First of all, the property is just stunning. So much care and thought has been put into every nook and cranny of the outdoor space. There are gardens, paths, twinkle lights, and sculptures. It has a logical layout for parties with just the right amount of privacy. For weddings, the space has adorable areas for wedding parties to prepare. I was part of the bride's preparation team, so we camped out in the upstairs bridal suite. The decor of this very spacious area is lovely and chic. The best part is the natural lighting-- I later saw the value of this when the photographer came to photograph the bride as she prepared for the ceremony. This area is well thought out with a dress hanging bar, full-length mirrors, closet, a six-person table with mirrors for the bridesmaids, and plenty of seating. I got to peek into the groom's room before the men arrived. The men's area is much smaller, but that's of course just fine because they obviously don't need as much prep space as us ladies. The groom's room decor is rustic and manly, but still in line with the western charm that is spread throughout the property. The wedding day was cold and chilly (yes, rare for Tucson) but the property has plenty of back of tents if we need them and plenty of heat lamps spread throughout the reception area. We were also offered the option to move the reception indoors if need be. The staff was so very thoughtful and sincerely cared about ensuring that the guests were comfortable. Side note: I know for a fact that my friend, the bride, enjoyed planning her wedding here. I don't want to speak on her behalf, so I'll let her write her own review. Again, I was so very impressed with this lovely place. My photos are nice, but they still don't do the property justice.

I'm so happy I found this gorgeous venue. I love how intimate it is, the vintage style, how beautiful it is. And to top it off, the owner/day of coordinator is amazing. She was there for any questions we had, she made sure our needs and wants were met so that our wedding was perfect amd her staff also made sure everything wemt smoothly on our day. Thank you Sheila. The vendors that work with her are awesome! Ché Wilson photography & Dj- amazingly beautiful pics and makes one comfortable and relaxed when feeling anxious and nervous on their big day. Also his DJ Joe, though he is a giants fan lol he was great. Cakes by Genevieve- delicious and beautiful cake! Rincon Market- your chicken Florentine was so yummy, oh and the kids mac and cheese. If anyone plans to get married soon, this is a beautiful place to check out.

My daughter got married November 24, 2018. Shelia the owner is AMAZING! She definitely made everything run smooth, even when, I being mother of the bride was a nervous wreck. Shelia saw how I was rushing and she stepped in to help me set up the decor, since my help was running late. This venue is beautiful for any special events. Landscape is beautiful. Omg it turned out perfect.I worried about the venue not having enough flowers, due to my daughter getting married in November, but flowers were beautiful outside and plenty of them. Food, music and open bar turned out great! I can't thank Shelia enough for making my daughters wedding day so special and beautiful . My family and friends loved Kingan Gardens and complemented everything about it! Happy mother, happy bride and groom

The eating area, this place is really beautiful!

I came here for a wedding reception and it is really beautiful here. Lots of vegetation (trees, shrubs, etc) which I'm a huge fan of. The lighting makes the ambiance really nice along with the shrubbery which isolates the road noise and brings out the acoustics of the wedding music. The lemons from the tree tasted great in my tea. 10 out of 10 would come here again.

Kingan Gardens was the venue for a wedding reception of a great friend. This place is extremely beautiful, a small oasis in the middle of downtown Tucson. There is a large hedge that blocks any view of the roadway and nearly all of the noise. We only heard some sirens once as they passed outside. The string lights create a relaxing atmosphere. The "L" shape of the seating area was unique but a great set up for the head table of the wedding. It did appear there were some indoor areas as well however we didn't go indoors as the reception was all outside.

With great care driving during 5 pm rush hour traffic congestion entering the event venue the valet parking offered made the arrival and limited parking much easier . I chose to attend to view the historic 1901 venue Stillwell House and Garden to experience with great anticipation snd high expectations as seen and read in many positive Yelp reviews. Our Tucson Yelp GM Isabella J. has touted this venue as one of her favorites which I have not visited before and lived up to said expectations in ambiance , efficiency , and enjoyment. Just a block south of Charro Steak and del Rey Seafood on south 5th avenue on the corner lies this large party venue . Not surprising the venue is owned and part of the large and local Si Charro group growing empire of restaurants in greater Tucson Arizona and beyond. Entering the large center courtyard the Stillwell house was highly decorated and lite up tastefully as a December Holiday party with over a hundred people celebrating a yearly party for the Presidio Group. began in the bar area. Hors d'oeuvres of meatballs & mini chimichangas in one area and large guacamole building table all fully staffed and foods presented colorfully by the Si Charro kitchen on site. In another corner by the bar had hot Mexican chocolate and cafe de ola . And in another corner was a huge cookie table with gingerbread houses and a large gingerbread cookie character anchoring the table filled with sweets . I was impressed with the large comfortable space accommodating this somewhat large crowd very comfortably . The large staff fully attended to the guests every need . After approximately an hour the gathering was surprisingly moved to the north side two story building adjacent to the the patio for a buffet dinner with festive green corn tamales , chicken mole , & prime rib with a bean medley, rice , tortillas , & tossed salad again fully staffed with friendly and efficient servers . Impressive were the seasonal colors and character added to all the food presented to celebrate and garnish the food for the winter solstice holiday season . The green corn tamales and chicken mole were especially tasty as was all the food presented. Following dinner the guests moved back to the patio and bar areas for the cookie table , Mexican hot chocolate & cafe de la ola awaiting a raffle of prizes patrons hoped to win. . Everyone was a winner with small bags of cookies professionally personalized the Presido Group Wealth Management logo for everyone to take home . I can now see why this is a popular wedding & other event venue in this historic large setting . The staff , food , decor ,and setting makes such events quite memorable. I mainly came to make a short visit to experience the venue, during the event my nfl football team the Lions where playing an important Thursday night game with playoff implications. Although I asked in advance if a tv was avaiable only an extremely small tv was hidden and off in the top corner of the bar. If wanted I could follow the game on my phone , but I did not . The food, drink," business friends , & festive historic setting enticed me to stay longer for most of the 2.5 hour early evening event rather than leaving early as pre planned . I couldn't resist staying for the dinner portion catered by Si Charro on site and throughly enjoyed the whole event & Stillwell House and Garden experience. It's now obvious why this is a most popular event location for your complete party venue needs. A true historic local gem" in downtown Tucson. I would consider using Uber or Lyft transportation Uber again at that busy time downtown . I'm told there's a parking garage nearby , the on street parking was full , but the valet parking made arrival much easier, thank you. ( I was told the Stillwell House & Garden has been under the same family ownership since 1901 but cannot confirm they fact ) That said historic 1901 historic Stillwell House and Garden experience is another " feather in cap " so to speak for our downtown city of gastronomy & Si Charro groups ever growing and expanding culinary & social experience.
