Avoid This Contractor at All Costs…read more I hired this company for a small flashing job and was initially quoted a reasonable price. The contractor requested 50% down and assured me the work would be completed within a week. Unfortunately, that promise was far from reality. When the worker arrived a few days later, he brought the wrong color materials and said he would return the following week. After weeks with no communication, I finally managed to get a response--only to be told that he couldn't find the correct color and asked me to buy it myself. After a five-minute trip to the lumber yard, I had the right materials, ready for installation. What followed was four months of constant excuses and no-show appointments. After repeated broken promises, I demanded my money back, at which point the worker arrived, cut the material (rendering it nonreturnable), and determined that he could not do the job. The owner, Mr. Bell, continuously assured me I would be refunded, but never followed through. This led me to take him to small claims court, where he fabricated a story that I kept changing the job and his worker spent hours working on my house. Fortunately, I had kept all our text exchanges, which proved otherwise. The court ruled in my favor, ordering him to repay my down payment and the cost of the ruined material. Now, over a year later, and even after serving him twice with a writ of execution, he still refuses to pay the judgment. His utter disregard for professionalism and legal obligations speaks volumes. If you're considering hiring him--do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration.

He told me it would cost an extra $100 for the expense of the board replacement. I agreed and told him the location of a local building supply company so that he could purchase that board. He left for a while, came back and I assumed he replaced the board as he stated needed to be done. He then replaced the shingles so at that point, I assumed the board was replaced as that is what he stated needed to be done. Imagine my surprise when we have our entire roof replaced recently by a different roofing company. They showed me what they found in that exact same spot. THE HOLE was still there. He did not cut it out and replace the wood as he charged me to do. Very unethical business practice, to charge for something not even done... thinking we'd never find out. Unless we had the roof replaced...
