He's passed away now and for many years, I did business with Harold. In fact, I bought a house from him. His son-in-law runs the business now and I no longer patronize the place because of his business practices. They provide a handyman service which I have used several times in the past but things have changed. I had a water heater installed by them. I asked for a quote and all was fine until a little later after the Handyman left. I had no water pressure at all. Called them back out to see about it. Charged for another service call and all total, it cost me over $250 simply to have my water heater replaced with one I bought elsewhere. I had a commode needing replaced. I had my new commode and had them install it. Turns out, the toilet flange was broken and it leaks. I called to tell them about it and they were willing to come back but at another service call plus their hourly rate. All that for fixing something that should have been corrected to begin with. I refused to continue using them and called someone else. I'll never buy from them or use their other services for as long as I live. You'd be wise to think about what I just wrote.

He told me it would cost an extra $100 for the expense of the board replacement. I agreed and told him the location of a local building supply company so that he could purchase that board. He left for a while, came back and I assumed he replaced the board as he stated needed to be done. He then replaced the shingles so at that point, I assumed the board was replaced as that is what he stated needed to be done. Imagine my surprise when we have our entire roof replaced recently by a different roofing company. They showed me what they found in that exact same spot. THE HOLE was still there. He did not cut it out and replace the wood as he charged me to do. Very unethical business practice, to charge for something not even done... thinking we'd never find out. Unless we had the roof replaced...
