Her appointment was already an hour late, and instead of making it right, the staff acted rude, unprofessional, and completely out of line. They asked her if she was pregnant, told her she was too young, asked if she needed to save her money, and kept making personal comments that had nothing to do with her nails. On top of that, they were talking about her, staring at her, and even yelled at her for moving her hand. She also said they tried to upsell her on eyebrows by basically telling her they looked bad. If i could leave a 0 i would absolutely. They charged me and my friend together 200 dollars for nails that didnt even last a couple hours. They would NOT listen to what we wanted. Prices say they start at $35 for full set, I have no problem paying $90 for my nails and $85 for my girl friends' if they are of that quality but they weren't. They rushed us from the minute we came in. They didn't give us time to even choose a color or anything. It was horrible. They didn't tell us the prices for things they didn't tell us certain color combinations costed more, which obviously we would expect, but I've never been to a place that doesn't communicate. And like I said, this was a reward for us both, so I wasn't thinking about asking those things. Because I was just trying to treat myself and her .So you know I have my nails done for maybe 3 hours and my rhinestones are coming off immediately .Message them through facebook and they say to come back in on monday and have it fixed...we come in amd it's judgemental looks and clearly we are getting talked about . I let Tony know that I dnt want rhinestones because they clearly don't last like he promised. So I just ask to get my monwys worth and you should see what they gave me...never again. I don't ever do anything like this but i'm so upset and angry so DO NOT go to King Nails in Festus MO. Multiple nail techs made fun of me the whole time, laughing at me, talking in their language about me and staring at my nails and me in general just talking badly about me. The nail tech had just started to work on my nails when all of this was happening but didn't say a word to me other than that i have small nails. I should have just left right then and there. She then cut my acrylic nails SO short when i did not want them like that. She didn't try to fix them and they look awful and she refused to even give me the shape i wanted cause they were too short which i DID NOT want! She was super rough with my nails and it hurt. Then when she was done she charged me $45 and i gave her $60 and expected change back and she kept some money for herself as a tip when we did not even discuss any tip amount, so she also stole money from me to top it off! Phone calls were made to them after the fact to complain and see what they can do about it too and they said "they would look into it". Not an apology, not a refund, not a 'come back in and we will fix it'. Not a solution so i'm just warning others to stay clear of that awful place. read more

Omggggggggg. This place literally has me shook. I live in Los Angeles and I was visiting my boyfriends family in Festus and needed my nails done. I was pretty much walking into a salon with bad expectations because I know people down here don't get extravagant nails done so I assumed nobody would know what to do with what I wanted. I've even gone to several nail salons in Los Angeles and haven't been satisfied... however my nail tech today did AMAZING. Better than the picture I showed her off pinterest.. I'm sad i didn't get her name. She did so great with the coffin shape, best coffin shape anyone has ever done on me. She worked with me with the rhinestones and did a fabulous job! I was enjoying my massage chair/ pedicure which is a rare treat for me when a woman came in with her very loud speaker phone on. The person on the the other end was speaking so loudly she was almost yelling. My peace was shattered and for the next 30 minutes I was badgered with the loud monologue blaring from that phone. When the patron was finally taken back to the nail station she ended the call but continued to play loud rock music over her speaker phone. If you are black do not go here! They are racist! Every time I go they make me wait 30 plus minutes even if I have an appointment! As soon as the white women walk in they cater to them hand & foot. They overcharged me about 20 dollars from what they told me when I came in and did a very mediocre job. I was charged $35 for the most basic pedi I've ever had in my life! First, we went as a girls night & made all of us 6 pm appointments, it was 6:40 before the only two of us getting pedis were brought to the chairs. My friend was done & nearly finished with her nails while I sat there for an hour & a half without even water in the bin. Then they started on the other girl's nails who had been waiting while I was still sitting there without being helped. It was getting so late that I switched to getting just a polish change on my toes instead of the pedicure I wanted. Then they messed up on 2 of the girl's nails (mine were fine to be fair) but they also charged 3 of us for manicures but they did no lotion, massage, cuticle treatment, none of it. I told him, then he started to soak them after one of my nails ripped and was bleeding badly! King nails is a joke! I've been fighting a lupus flare which has put me in a downward spiral into depression this past week. Finally today I felt good enough to get out and do something for myself because it's the first break I've gotten in a long time. I decided I was going to get a mani/pedi which I don't do often because I have 4 kids. I sat down in the chair and the lady comes to do my feet and she looks at them and starts laughing and showing them off to the lady next to her and the customer next to me saying things like "I'm scared" and "did you try to do it yourself" because honestly my feet are very calloused and let's face it, not very pretty. and at first I was embarrassed but I actually said "please, today is not the day to make fun of me." She got up and was gone for a few minutes and when she came back, again she was laughing at my feet and pointing them out to the ladies next to us and saying stuff about them. At that point I got up and put my socks and shoes on and left in tears. She started being like "no don't go." And I told her "you don't know what people are going through and what uou say can make or break a person. I know most of you on here don't know me and probably don't care about my feelings and are probably thinking "there are two sides to every story" and I get that. I just wanted to share my story and warn anyone who was thinking about going there that they are very unprofessional. Do not go here. I used to recommend this place to all my friends in the area and loved their service and quality of work. My last two visits were horrible! the first time I thought was a fluke we all have our days, nails were not great quality or the shape I had asked for. Oh well things happen. I went back to get a fill because my thumb nail had already broken within less than 2 weeks, the girl tore up the set that was on my nails and made my nails so damn short I might as well of not had fake nails on, she burned my skin multiple times with her tools she used. the nails were way too thick on some they didn't look great at all. I dealt with what I had. paid my bill and went on my way. a week later two of my nails broke off and I discovered discoloration on my pinky nail. I now have a FUNGAL infection in multiple of my fingernails due to this place!!! its painful and my nails look so torn up. Don't waste your money or risk your hands getting infected! It was OKAY. It was my first time going yesterday, i got there and my appointment was at 4, i didnt get seated till about 4:20, they were a little busy, but again i had an appointment. I sat down and Nicki started working on my pedi, it was good honestly. Later comes for my to my full set & my appointment was originally with Nicky.. i get handed off to another coworker & she starts, im not sure if she was knew or what but she was awful. She was super hesitant doing my nails. She made one of my hands SHORTER than the other. My cuticles were freaking not cleaned that great. So the 1st time was great. The guy that did my nails was perfect. Yes, it was $90 for a full set. The next time I went, I sat in seat number 9. The woman said nothing really to me. All of my nails were different lengths and shapes I asked for Matte black. I did not get that they looked awful. I literally had to go home, file my own nails, and then repaint them because they were so awful. Do not waste your money or time because they don't care. I will never be going back. Yes, I posted a picture of my nails, so please take a look at their photos and see the black nails. Also They break every guideline in the health violation meaning you are more likely to get an infection because they literally dip your fingers in the same powder that everybody else dips their fingers in not to mention they'll use the same file on you as they do everyone else. Yes, a report will be sent out, and no, I don't think you're going to do very good the cleanliness, not to mention sanitary issues you're going to fail. read more

My pedicure looked better before-the nail technician ripped my gel polish off, damaging my toenails. She broke one, glued it and when I asked about it she said my nails were too short. My nail shapes are all different now due to her clipping and filing. Most noticeably the two big toes. One is extremely rounded and the other is straight. I understand this is a first world problem, but I expected better practices and quality. I still tipped $5 but did not get the manicure I planned on. I've never left a review but my toenails look awful. I do not recommend this place. I'm just really aggravated-seriously my nails looked so much better before this woman butchered the pedicure. read more
