If you're even thinking about taking a macaron-making class, stop scrolling and book it--especially…read moreif it's with Chef Vince Pianalto. I just took his class and I'm still smiling (and snacking on my delicious creations). Vince is an absolute gem--funny, patient, and totally a free spirit in the kitchen. He doesn't just teach recipes; he teaches with soul (and a little bit of chaos in the best way). The way he "measures with his heart" makes the whole experience feel like you're learning from a wildly talented friend rather than a formal instructor. Even though macarons are notoriously tricky, Vince made the process approachable and genuinely fun. He answered every question with warmth and encouragement, and his love for baking is infectious. Highly recommend this class for anyone--whether you're a baking newbie or a seasoned home chef. You'll leave with delicious macarons, new skills, a full belly and a full heart! 10/10 would bake again!

They offer an array of culinary and related subject classes and courses. I just so happen to fall into this wine class. It's a really neat experience. If you are into wine, even better. You dive into what wine is, how it is made and how to really taste it. And not only taste it but understand what you are tasting. I throughly enjoyed the class and may sign up for the wine sommelier 2 course. Brightwater is a great addition to the NWA neighborhood. I am looking forward to coming back to eat, taste, and learn something.

The store was extremely clean, well organized, and inviting, which immediately made browsing enjoyable. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and welcoming, creating a relaxed and positive atmosphere that made us want to take our time and explore every aisle. This place is absolutely amazing and, in our opinion, beats BevMo by 110 percent. The selection is impressive, and the layout makes it easy to find what you are looking for while also discovering new things you did not even know you needed. I loved how this store truly has everything you could possibly think of when it comes to wine and entertaining. From a great variety of wines to adorable wine stoppers, stylish coasters, and beautifully designed wine bags, there were so many unique and thoughtful items that would make perfect gifts or additions to your own home. The customer service really stood out and took the experience to another level. A special thank you to Elena, who took the time to help us find the perfect wine. She was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely kind, and I truly appreciated the attention and care she gave us. The cashier was also incredibly nice and friendly, which made checking out just as pleasant as the rest of the visit. Another great surprise was the variety of snacks available. It was nice to see so many options that pair well with wine, making this a true one stop shop. Overall, this store exceeded our expectations in every way. I honestly wish we had a store like this in California. The next time we are in the area, we will definitely be stopping by again. This is a must visit spot for wine lovers and anyone looking for great service and a fantastic shopping experience.

I had seen a few of them on our recent travels through The Natural State. It was early in the morning, but they were open. Lol. Right away I noticed a few things... being warmly greeted. Clean store. The prices were low. I grabbed a bottle of Post Moscato ($10.28) made in Altus for my mom. For my brothers, I let them choose between Wild Parallel (straight bourbon whiskey finished in toasted oak barrels $39.28) and Fox Trail (Arkansas straight bourbon whiskey $45.72). I had one of the very friendly employees guide me to the best, most locally-owned and made at reasonable prices. Appreciated! My brothers drank every last drop before I had a chance to crash their pads too. Jerks. Oh, but they both said they were both "pretty damn good." I would be a frequent visitor if my hometown had this store. TIP There was quite a bit of Razorback gifts like shot glasses, glasses, koozies, and bottle openers towards the back.

WARNING - Honeycomb Public Classes…read more The Warning The Honeycomb Public Classes have 6 tables which each accommodate 4 participants, for a total of 24 people. However, for the July 22nd class "Cooking with Beer" they sold 25 tickets to this event. This meant one of the tables had 5 participants instead of the standard 4. When you purchase tickets to the Public Cooking Classes, don't assume because you have purchased 4 tickets you will have a table dedicated to your group. Honeycomb may sit an extra participant at your table. Our Experience Upon check in our group of 4 was directed to Table 5. On our way over to the table we noticed there was already someone seated at the table, which normally only seats 4 participants. Upon asking the young lady at the check in desk why there are 5 people at the table she said: "Well sometimes that happens when we have more than 24 participants". I told her we purchased 4 tickets to ensure we would have a dedicated table for our group. Since that did not work, I asked the young lady, how we could ensure we had a dedicated table for future classes. Her response: "Oh, you might try putting that request in the comments section when you purchase your tickets". We received no advanced warning that this was going to happen. There was not much we could do at that point, so we continued on with the cooking class. Early in the class one of the Honeycomb owners announced we had special guests attending the class. The special guests were two of her employees from the Honeycomb retail side of the business. This left me wondering why the extra person was not at the special guests table instead of ours... It should be noted that with the exception of 1 extra bratwurst, our table with 5 participants had exactly the same quantity of ingredients as the other tables. This left our table splitting the food 5 ways instead of 4, but at the same price. Conclusion Honeycomb overbooked the class, and transferred their mistake on my group, and we paid for it. Final Score Honeycomb makes an extra $75.00 for the night at the cost of a single bratwurst. Disappointing...

It pains me to write this, but after tonight I have to. We've been going to Macadoodles for years,…read moreand they used to be great. Our last 4 visits though have been terrible. One visit, on a weekday, we visited when they were apparently really short staffed. The workers made sure to tell us all about it and even seemed annoyed that we were taking them away from their jobs when we wanted to check out. Another time, when I asked about one of my favorite craft bourbons that they used to carry, the clerk went on to say that they didn't have it any more and basically gave me a big explanation about how that brand just wasn't very good. I appreciate that everyone has their own tastes, but flat out insulting a small craft brand, that one of your customers really likes, isn't the best way to make more sales. Then tonight's experience...My wife and I stopped by to restock. I don't like my kids to stay in the car by themselves, especially in certain parts of Springfield, that have a larger homeless population. Nothing against them personally, but when they're walking around loudly talking to themselves, why grabbing their junk, I'd rather not leave my kids alone in the car. So on this night, we had our teenage son come in with us. Didn't buy anything crazy, my wife likes Mike's and I got a new local beer from SBC. When we got to the counter, my son touched one of those small bottles of liquor they have at the counter. He didn't pick it up, but he did turn it to see what the label said. The clerk immediately stopped the transaction and asked for his ID. We told her that he wasn't 21, but she wanted to see it anyway, so he showed it to her. She then informed us that she would not serve us, because he touched a bottle and he wasn't 21. I was totally confused, so I asked why, and she told me it was state law? She said that she had suspicions that we were buying alcohol for him. Huh? Do you get a lot of husband/wife teams in buying for minors? She wouldn't budge, so we ended up having to leave. VERY embarrassing, especially on a busy evening in a crowded store. Really sucks, because my brother-in-law and I frequently went on bourbon hunts in this store and left with 5-6 bottles of bourbon on multiple occasions. One less store for me to hunt now! Do yourself a favor and hit Brown Derby instead. Their staff is a lot nicer and the prices are usually a little cheaper.

Today we came for Sunday lunch and enjoyed quiche. Lorraine and the kids had spaghetti with meat sauce. We had a black forest cake for dessert and also ice cream sundaes for the kids. We drank Whitaker's sparkling grape juice for our meal. It was a great hit. The kids really enjoyed it and they said they wanted to come back soon! It's probably been five or six years since we have been here and the kids really didn't remember it. We did learn that they're not giving tours of the wine cellar since Covid at least not without some kind of special arrangement. The service was excellent and I would add the same lady that waited on me today was waiting on me many years ago when I first visited here when I was 11 years old. That's been more then 40 years ago.

If you enjoy sweet wines like us, we loved the strawberry alpine and the chocolate wine as well as the red muscadine. They had many other wines to choose from as well. In addition to the wines we purchased some artisan soaps and body lotion made from wine sediments with amazing scents. We also purchased some homemade apple butter. As it happened today we were not hungry at the time so we did not visit the restaurant but look forward to going there on a future trip. The clerk was extremely helpful and friendly. She took the trouble to make sure we enjoyed the experience and got out of it what we were looking for. This was all the more appreciated since this was our daughter's first wine tasting.
