They want to make a sale (all of it is very expensive stuff) but their customer service is absolutely terrible. The technician is condescending and incapable of providing a simple answer, rather I get an inbox full of technical documentation that is way above my head and that of any non-water-technician. They came to the house to perform a water analysis within 1 day, but it took 2-3 weeks to get them to perform a repair. Their equipment IS very good and does last a long time, but I'm struggling to get simple answers to some new equipment that was installed. ...but they made the sale, which seems to be most important to them. I expect more from a global company and I'll look to the competition when my equipment is end-of-life and needs to be replaced. Additionally, their filters and RO cartridges are proprietary and 'hugely' overpriced (compared to all competitors) and they do not recycle the heavy plastic RO cartridges. "Just throw them away". A disappointing answer from them. read more

I had my water treatment system for dealing with iron bacteria installed about a month ago. The territory manager, Jim, was a delight to work with. He fully explained the results from the free water test and was able to recommend multiple options for us to choose from. The process was timely and we were able to get the treatment system installed within the week. The installers were courteous and informative. Although their systems are expensive, we noticed the difference in our water right away. We previously had a Kinetico softener system in our home that was working for almost 40 years. We decided to pay for the quality instead of going with a cheaper company. I highly recommend working with Jim out of the Newbury office, he will make sure you get what you need and what you're looking for! read more

All experiences shared in this review occurred at my son's first house. I routinely help him by managing various service appointments ... I scheduled a service tech almost two weeks ahead of time to accommodate my work schedule. When I called the day before, was told I had been bumped due to emergencies. I asked if anyone planned to notify me of this change and was given a rude response by the scheduler. She did agree to a first morning appt. the following week. Day of rescheduled service I waited until 10:30 am before calling to determine arrival time of the tech. Seems I was bumped for an emergency AND the scheduler would not commit to a time for the service. She was, once again, rude and completely oblivious to the fact I had taken the day off from work! I cancelled with the intent to post this review. BUYER BEWARE: 1) Kinetico will go out of their way to sell the homeowner a water treatment system. On the other hand, service after the sale is severely lacking. 2) As an alternative, consider a WaterPro system provided by Ayers Well Drilling. This is the unit installed in my home 5 years ago at a cost half the price of a Kinetico unit. Trouble free and has never required a service visit. I only add salt to the brine tank. read more

Scheduled a service call and was told a service call required i stay home a entire 9 am to 5 Pm to wait for my service man, No phone call in the morning to give me a heads up on a more accurate time. To think that its ok to not give a service window of 3 hours and make someone wait almost 8 hours is not very courteous. read more

This company needs to follow up on their first time customers. We got the system a year or so ago and the installer John said he woyld come in a month to check on our system again but never came back. I wasn't told I was supposed to call him to schedule it. Thought it was protocol for the company to do a courtesy call back. The lady on the phone told me I was supposed to call. A bit rude. Anyway, when she went on the computer they didn't even have the correct information in their system of our new water filter system until I insisted we just got the system installed. I told her she was looking at our previous home owner's information. I know what system I have, ok?!! Then she came back without apologizing when she found out I have a different system. And just said I can pick up the brown filter. Come on, Kinetico, get your acts together!! You made the mistake giving me one less filter and now I have to pick up the filter again. The least you could offer to do is send it in the mail for us. You want to charge us 25 dollars for shipping? Ridiculous!! I spent thousands of dollars on this system. And this is the service I get? Work on your customer service if you want anY referrals. read more

Kinetico came to replace our cartridges in our K5 RO. The service representative came into our home without wearing a mask. When I asked whether or not he was vaccinated he said no and continued to justify why. The bottom line is you need to protect yourself and others during this pandemic, especially as a service rep. Wear a mask when going into peoples homes Kinetico! read more

I would give this company 0 stars if I could. Absolutely horrible customer service, if any at all! The lady that works there talks down to you as if you were dumb and has little to no patience when answering questions. Also, during their "sales" you have to physically go to them to make the purchase and get the sale price. Oh, did I also mention that the drinking water filters are on back-order until mid-December? But don't worry, they'll give you a rain check for the sale price. So, let me jump in my car, waste an hour of my time to physically drive to their store to get a "rain check" for filters needed for our drinking water...just so I can go back in mid-December to pick them up and waste another hour of my time. Terrible company to do business with! Absolutely DO NOT recommend them. read more
