If you are going to consider the company Windstream for internet or phone service, consider my review. I got internet for 90 dollars a month. the internet was 30 mbs a second and not fast at all. I called to tell them I cant aford 90 dollers a month. I didn't like the internet so the company dropped it to 70 dollars. I decided to keep it to not deal with the hastle... A month before i had to move the company turned my internet off. I tryed to talk with someone after i got off work and couldn't get any one on the phone so I decided it was fine the company charged me for a month of internet i didn't get at my previous residence... here is what really makes me tick. I moved out and a month later after i had bin gone from the residence completely moved the company charged me for another month of service... The company finally sent the package to send back the gear for the internet so i sent it back the after receiving it the next business day. 3 months after not having service the company billed me for 100 dollars. so a little over 240.. Do not get internet with them. You will go days without service and all they do is send a tech every time to "correct the issue" and you're back to the same issue the next month. (And you have to leave work every time to meet them) They won't refund money for the 4-5 days, per month, it takes to send a tech, and if you call customer service they bounce you between 4-6 different people and not a one of them knows anything about the equipment except to say "is the cord plugged in properly?" Worst service provider. My internet connection has gone out 3 times in the last month. All of which have lasted days and one occurrence lasted almost 3 weeks. Apart from that it goes off for about 10 minutes multiple times a day. Called the main number to ask questions regarding possibly getting service and experienced the most pushing individual ever. I ended up hanging up on him and didn't get all the details so I had my husband call the next day and he ended up having the same experience and ended up having to hang up on the lady too. She told him "sir you are the one that called me for help" when all he called for was the information. They get credit for each sign up and will do anything to just try and hook you. Windstream as a company is terrible. The lack of communication between employees, call centers, and service techs is astonishing. Getting enrolled and set up as a new customer was the worst experience I've ever had. Endless broken promises and deceiving claims about speed, prices, and service dates. I barely get half the internet speed they claimed I would have. My expectations for bill amounts, internet speed, and completion dates for installs were never met or even close to what employees made me believe or claimed. Dealing with customer service was horrendous, I explained my situation to at least 10 separate people and every time I'd get transferred to another person. A person who they claimed they briefed on the situation, but once spoken to, they had no idea what was going on. I'd never recommend this ISP to anyone at all. Avoid it at all cost. I will be cancelling and switching to a much better provider. Misleading customers and not having any internal communication is bad business. The internet is down once again. I have reset it and so did customer service representative when I called but nothing changed. I am only available for a technician to come to my home on Saturday mornings and I have relayed that message numerous times but yet and still they schedule me in the afternoon. I believe that is done purposely. This is UNACCEPTABLE and the worst service ever.They should have someone on call 24 hours for emergencies. I am not sure when my service will be restored. I have been trying to cancel my deceased mother in laws account for six months. the bill auto drafts out of my bank account and every month on the 5th I've called was given the disconnect order # and then was auto drafted the next month. I call again and am told it's set to disconnect and they will transfer me for a refund and imagine the financial department hangs up every time. they have to have the worst service on the planet. I would never get this companies service! A tec came out to give my neighbor service and cut my internet line with another service provider. The technicIan knew he cut my lines and just buried them. I have had issues with windstream for years ever since I moved outside the city about 17 years ago. Internet has been always horrible. No matter how many times you try to upgrade on sptoday. I had a Tech come out he came out. He was nice. We talked for a second. He went back to his truck. Then he came back out 10 minutes later. He says the issue is the fact that my address is listed as my old address. And that was the problem he would look when ahead and looked at my motor ran a test, said everything's good. And then he left after he left. I run a speed test still getting horrendously low internet speed. 0.02 mbps download. I pay to have up to 12 mbps. There's only provider that is in am stuck with them. I don't like talking to outsourced people in another country. Who are just going to tell you to reboot your modem. He did try to tell me that I can upgrade. But I don't see the point if you can't fix the problem in the first place. I would always recommend and tell other people if you have another choice other than windstream, go for that. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. My internet has been out for 8 days. I called and was given a date 10 days out, on 11/9! I was told the case would be "escalated", and received a response text saying someone would be out on 11/6, but no one showed up. I called and was told that apparently no one was available and that someone would be there on 11/9. If no one was available for the new date of 11/6, how do I know they'll come on 11/9?
