My mom said her co-worker recommends that I go here for a pinched nerve on the right side of the front of my neck. I spent $125 and he just put his finger on my neck and lifted my arm and said, "there it is". After he did that I could still feel the pain. I asked him, "can you feel this area because this is where the pain is." He did not and I felt rushed out the door and he gave me recomendations for a shoe store and a personal trainer. Please do not go here. I see there are some good reviews, but those people are the lucky ones. This is my story, and I hope it serves as a warning. It's been 4 or 5 months since I've seen Lino for a recurring and mysterious hip and knee issue. He proclaimed to fix me on the first visit, very quickly explained what my issue was, and rattled off some broad recommendations before mentioning I could come back anytime if the issue persisted. The visit was over in about 90 seconds. I felt good for about a week, then the issues all came rushing back. I booked a 2nd appt, and from the moment I walked in, he was barking orders at me. "Why are you here??" he angrily asked. "Why aren't you laying on the table?!" - his demeanor was so different from the first time. It was like I'd done something to personally offend him, although he'd made it clear initially that his door was open. He jammed his fingers so hard into my back I was left with numbness and tingling on the left side of my body for a month. He grabbed my feet and, without warning, slammed them so hard on the table that I heard my whole back crack like a zipper. He then ordered me to cease all core workouts. "For how long?" He began to walk away. I said a little louder - "wait! For like...a few weeks? A couple of months?" He looked at me like I was an idiot. "...forever??" He stopped across the room and replied, "don't be aggressive." before continuing to see another patient. I was stunned. My pain, of course, only got worse. I am now in physical therapy, uncovering and healing my issues. Instead of helping me, he complicated my recovery by causing nerve issues, and made me feel completely defeated with the medical system, to boot. read more

I walked in for my first appointment and left before even filling out the forms due to the facility's disregard for basic COVID precautions. For context, my visit was in January 2021, the day after California recorded upwards of 40k COVID cases and over 600 COVID fatalities. I'd heard great things and was excited to get help with some joint pain. When I walked in, however, I noticed several people who seemed to be staff were not wearing masks. I peaked around a corner to see patients or patients' families not wearing masks. I asked about if masks were required and the response was something along the lines of, some people can't breath, if you're not comfortable with it you can go someplace else. So I left. If you worry about the spread of COVID, Kinections might not be the right place for you during the pandemic. SAVE YOUR MONEY A "friend" (who loves this guy) told me to see Lino for some pain issues. I saw Lino three times for two separate issues over two years. Each time he never looked at my medical information, even the info that I filled out in the office. The last visit he gave advice that was completely inaccurate. Each time I saw Lino, he did a few body manipulations and then said "Got it... done". He shuffled from each patient on different tables (separated with a curtain) and never gave me any real concern or attention. He never did "get it" and just shuffled me out of the office with a $100 bill. He was never caring and just pushed me through each time leaving me with questions that he never seemed concerned to answer. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Lino is not the healer some folks say he is. A teammate recommended that I go see Lino Cedros at Kinections since I was still having calf trouble after about 20 years. During that span I had seen several doctors and physical therapists and had undergone treatments and had MRIs taken. Lino listened to me describe my symptoms and then had me lie down and examined a few spots on my legs and feet and then told me exactly what was wrong. He then explained that a single exercise, if performed religiously, would take care of the issue. So I tried that, and was cured! So about a year and a half later when my knee was giving me some trouble, I went to Lino after seeing my general physician. The difference in his knowledge versus my doctor was substantial. Once again, he listened and then probed the area and explained what was wrong. He treated the knee and told me what not to do for the next couple of days. My knee is already better. I very highly recommend Lino for any injury. He is knowledgeable, friendly and worth every penny. read more

I saw Lino in April, and explained that I'd had pain in both my elbows for the last 6 years. It had been diagnosed as tendinitis and I just couldn't seem to permanently get rid of it. After about three minutes of me explaining my situation and him asking a few questions, he said he knew what was wrong. He performed a very painful adjustment on both my elbows. They hurt immediately, and the pain got progressively worse throughout the rest of the day. That night, my hands went numb. After a few days of severe pain, and constant numbness in my fingers, which I had NEVER had before in the 6 years that I'd had elbow pain, I contacted him to let him know what was going on. I was assured that this was normal, and that what happened was "the nerve was very tight, and was stretched". It's been seven months since Lino "stretched my nerves" and I still have numbness in both my hands. I haven't been able to do any form of exercise with my upper body for the last seven months. I've had to see a neurologist and a hand surgeon to try to figure out what's going on with the nerves in my hands, and what I can do about it. Both were shocked when I explained what happened. My visit with Lino has essentially taken me out of commission for 7 months, and I'm still not back to where I was prior to the manipulation. I've never written a negative yelp review in my life, but I felt like I had a responsibility to share my experience. read more

Overhyped. On a friends request, I visited lino for an injury. Saw him once and got some "work" done. Afterwards I had some follow up questions, so I sent an email to which i got no response. Left me feeling a bit let down by the whole experience. For the next year or so, my aches and pains continued, and so, thinking that I might experience a different result, I decided that I'd give Lino another shot. I saw the doctor for a total of maybe 5-6 minutes out of a 45 minute visit. He constantly pops back and forth between patients doing what he does, but seems to lack the time to give people the proper attention that I feel they deserve, if for no other reason then each visit costing $100 a pop. Even my Kaiser doctors would sit in a room with me for 30 minutes and listen to the whole story of what's happening with my body. He worked on me again for about a minute, and told me I was good to go. Again I had some follow up questions and sent an email, to which surprise, I got no response. I was referred to Kinections by a trusted close friend. I called and received a call back very quickly and made my appointment. I met Lino Cedros and explained my shoulder problems to him. He advised me it would be an easy fix. He treated me very quickly and told me I should not have to return as he had fixed my shoulder. Lino said if my symptoms came back to just schedule another appointment. I was thrilled to finally be out of pain after two years. It was less than 20 minutes from my scheduled appointment time when Lino finished the treatment. I was told to go pay $95 for my treatment, which I thought was a little steep for a few minutes of therapy, but I was happy to be out of pain. And Lino said I was fixed, I wouldn't have to come back! 2 days later my symptoms returned. I called and left a message requesting a call back to explain why the pain had returned so quickly and what I needed to do. 24 hours later I had not received a call back so I called again and was told by the less than friendly person answering the phone that Lino had received my message but was busy and would call me when he had time. It has been 1 week and still no call back. Apparently Lino is interested in charging $95 for approx 15 mins of telling his patients how great he is and 5 mins of treatment with no intention of following up when symptoms return. Two very athletic friends (who run, bike, climb and swim) recommended Lino at Kinections to me when my back went out recently. He saw me on very short notice the day after Christmas (today), first thing in the morning, and was able to diagnose my problem almost just by looking at the way I was limping. He saw that I had locked my hip flexor & with just 15 minutes of palpating, vigorous massage and several excercises to loosen up the muscles and tendons was able to fix the problem 100%. I had been almost immobile - and in lots of pain - for four days, and he fixed it almost instantly. Obviously everyone has different types of problems and yours may be more difficult to diagnose and fix than mine was, but I've NEVER been to a health professional who was able to figure out the problem and fix it - quickly and painlessly - before. He even adjusted my car seat later to make sure my posture was good, to keep the problem from returning. I can't say enough good things about this guy and this shop. And at $65 per session, they're far less expensive than many other health professionals. Should I EVER need sports medicine / phys therapy again, I'd go here in a heartbeat. read more

This place is an absolute Godsend and it is a pleasure to write a good review for a change. Lino is the BEST! While training for my first half marathon, I acquired the dreaded Illiotibial Band syndrome. The closest way to describe what this feels like is: well, thinking back to my carnivorous days...you know when you're cutting up chicken and you put the knife tip in between the thigh and the drumstick joints to separate the two? This was absolutely some of the worst pain I've had in my entire life. A knife in the knee can be unbelievably unpleasant. I could barely walk. Bust out the Vicodin and ice...ugh... I had a terrible itchy patch on my foot for over 2 years. It was so bad, I developed a callous from scratching it. I saw Lino for the first time this morning. I have had poor range of motion in my shoulder as a result of surgery and radiation. This has been going on for 6 months. One visit and I have full range of motion and he broke up my scar tissue. I can't believe it! I actually said "Holy Sh@t!" more than once during my visit. I wish I had listened to my friends recommendations sooner. We do CrossFit and he has spared my friends surgery and gotten them back to working out in record time. This place is a Therapy Mill Factory. Slam Bam thank you Ma'am. Saw Lino after friend's referral, what a waste of time and money. He spent maybe 3 minutes with me, slammed my hip and low back and asked "what do you notice". I notice my back hurts! They hooked up a muscle stimulator to the wrong spot on my hip and then he went to the next stall and then the next stall,came back after 10 minutes and said "thank you, come back if you have more pain" $95 for a 3 minute visit and I ended up with bruising all across my lower back. I'm the last person in my family to see Lino Cedros at Kinections. He treated me for a sciatic nerve issue (aching butt, tingling foot, etc). In one session he 1) figured out why my problem was happening; 2) gave me some immediate relief; and 3) set up a self-administered PT/stretching routine which completely solved my problem within about 2 weeks. Cannot express how much I appreciate Lino's commitment to healing others. I have been dealing with an inflamed tendon in my ankle for almost 2 years, going back to Kaiser many times to be told to stay off my foot and wear an e-boot. For an active individual this is a very frustrating treatment plan, and was not working. I finally went to Lino to see if he could help, and he sure did! I was getting treated by my Dr for the inflammation of the tendon, but Lino quickly determined why the tendon was being strained, made some manipulations to my foot and felt immediate release. I have been back for several appointments as I want to ensure I was fully recovered before I started running, and today I ran for the 1st time in almost 2 years, pain free! He is very honest, knowledgeable, and provides you with as much details as you want about your condition, treatment and how to keep healing. Have a complex, longstanding joint problem. After hearing from friends what a miracle worker he can be, I finally tried Leno. He performed his famously painful "adjustment", gave me a tennis ball (for rolling on) and told me I was good to go. There was a slightly impatient and rapid explanation of what he thought was happening, but no handouts or notes; his front desk assured me he'd respond if I contacted him via email with questions. As others have experienced, I got nothing from Leno after 2 emails. So... $100 for a tennis ball was pretty bad. If he couldn't "fix" the problem I would understand; would rather have had a straightforward, respectful conversation than voodoo wand-waving. I heard good things about Lino so I had my son go to him when he injured his hamstring while running track. Lino told him he strained it, performed some electrical therapy and told him to rest it. When the hamstring still hadn't improve after several attempts at resting it we went to our MD who referred him to an orthopedist. By the time we got to the orthopedist and then scheduled an MRI it was too late. My sons hamstring was totally separated from the bone and had atrophied to the point that surgery was very questionable. The surgeon advised against it.
