I was disappointed with my appointment though. After waiting for him for an hour and 10 minutes past my appointment time, I was getting very impatient. While I do appreciate him taking time with his patients (a very important part of practicing) maybe he shouldn't have so many appointments then. Making someone wait that long is just not fair, guess my time is not important. Secondly I was referred to him from another surgeon that met with me and said I needed surgery but was booked out farther than I liked. When I met with Dr. Bragg, he did not believe I needed surgery (even know I know my body, have been dealing with the pain for several months and have already had this injury on the other shoulder a few years back that last almost two years before I moved forward with surgery, clearly it is not going to just heal). The Dr and I agreed to disagree, which I can appreciate his opinion. He is entitled to his and I am entitled to mine. I just don't understand why I had to waste my time when the office knew I was being referred to discuss surgery, I confirmed that when I was on the phone with them. Lastly the location of the office (not the Dr's fault), is a nightmare!! You all can keep the downtown Sac area, I want nothing to do with it. One way streets, NO parking... stupid. This office has valet parking, for $5.00 CASH. When I pulled up the attendant did not tell me that they had an ATM, so I had to leave and go find one several blocks away, only to come back and then he told me they had one. First it is was $12.00 cash, then it was $5.00 Cash. (something shady going on here!) 08/17/2016-Disclaimer on my review... I have not seen the Dr yet but the front office staff is usually a huge deciding factor for me when deciding what Dr's I wish to get medical opinions from. The front office called me to book an appointment with the Dr surgeon due to a surgery I need to have on my torn rotator cuff. The office was friendly, answering all my questions and very accommodating to my concern about needing to get in quickly. I did some research on the Dr after they called me ( I got referred by my regular Dr), and he comes highly recommended on the Internet. Fingers crossed that since the office was so great, I will equally love the Dr. Meeting with him next week, I'll update my review after I meet him.

There are two elevators for patients which are a bit slow and small, but gets the job done. A few times I'm still waiting about 10 minutes after my appointment time, but it's not egregious since the staff are nice and respectful and I do receive good care. There is a patient drop-off area, but do wish there was a free parking lot within the building instead of having to pay for street parking a couple of blocks away.

He is incredibly bright having done stints in both the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Spine Clinic Departments at UC Davis and now we are lucky enough to have him in the Sports Medicine Clinic on C Street and at the Elk Grove Specialty Clinic too where he divides his time. Kind and really down to earth! Fixed the back up and now I need a knee turned up. I know he will do a thorough examination and give me his best advice. So not only is the medical part of the this clinic superb...but the administrative people are top notch! I called this morning and spoke with Caran...! As usual, she is professional, patient and kind in her phone interaction with me. Just made my day! Have dealt with her in the past at my Primary Care Physician's office where she was always such a joy with whom to work. Another one with the highest degree of professionalism yet makes you feel like you are someone special! After checking in at my PCP's office, I would sit in the waiting room until I was called...watching her do her magic with every, single patient who walked up to the desk. Sick, angry or happy...she encounters them all....! Oh did I mention in pain too? She is simply the best and perfect person to have greeting patients. Such a loss to have her leave that office. Yes the __same doctor__ and the same me. Apparently the same doctor is "not allowed" to talk to the same me about my spine in Sports Medicine or my shoulder in Spine. So two appointments a week apart and one requires a 1 hour drive each way. Evidently no one at UC Davis understands skeletal biology?! I haven't even been seen yet and have to think this place is stupid!

I was searching the web for a new dr. Every dr I contacted was months out for surgery. Then the light at the end of the tunnel got so bright I couldn't see! I found dr Rubin! His office staff Julian answered the phone and my eyes opened with amazing hope! She told me come in tomorrow at 11am (Friday) We met with dr Rubin and he went over every bit of my imaging inch by inch! I suffer from epilepsy very mildly He did an exam and had the exsact results as the previous dr that screwed me over and canceled my surgery 5 days pre op I waited 4 months to happen and pushed me off another month Needless to say after our initial consultation with dr Rubin (less than 12 hrs of my initial original phone call) Julian calls me 1 hr after we left and told me surgery will be Monday at 9AM!!!!!!!!!!! I am so impressed of how professional dr Rubin was with his exam and his compassion for the urgency of my condition to repair it!! IF YOU ARE READING THIS YOU FOUND THE RIGHT DR.!!!
