Nothing but great stuff to say and write about the UC Davis Sports Medicine Clinic! My dealings…read morehave only been with one physician here...Dr. Brian Davis! He is incredibly bright having done stints in both the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Spine Clinic Departments at UC Davis and now we are lucky enough to have him in the Sports Medicine Clinic on C Street and at the Elk Grove Specialty Clinic too where he divides his time. Kind and really down to earth! Fixed the back up and now I need a knee turned up. I know he will do a thorough examination and give me his best advice. So not only is the medical part of the this clinic superb...but the administrative people are top notch! I called this morning and spoke with Caran...! As usual, she is professional, patient and kind in her phone interaction with me. Just made my day! Have dealt with her in the past at my Primary Care Physician's office where she was always such a joy with whom to work. Another one with the highest degree of professionalism yet makes you feel like you are someone special! After checking in at my PCP's office, I would sit in the waiting room until I was called...watching her do her magic with every, single patient who walked up to the desk. Sick, angry or happy...she encounters them all....! Oh did I mention in pain too? She is simply the best and perfect person to have greeting patients. Such a loss to have her leave that office. But SO very happy she is now Sports Medicine! A great big shout out to you Caran! It is so obvious when you talk in person or answer that phone...how much you love your job!!! UC is sooooo lucky to have you! Ashley...new addition to Sports Medicine...is a keeper toooooo!!!! There you have it! If you need a top notch, dedicated, Sports Medicine Clinic Doc...Brian Davis is your guy! What are you waiting for....get on the phone and call Caran! Thank you to all of you!

If the doctor's office staff is COMPLETEY incompetent, what does that say about how he practices medicine? My mother's doctor sent over an urgent referral 3 weeks ago and after jumping thru hoops getting them reports and copies of X-rays. Still no response in regards to whether they would take her as a patient. 99% of the time you can't reach them by phone and IF you are lucky enough to be able to leave a message, you won't EVER get a return phone call. The MOST incompetent doctor's office staff I have ever encountered in my whole life. They should be ashamed of themselves and get OUT of this line if work as clearly they have no compassion towards the patients.
