After calling him, he was responsive in getting me a quote. Although it took about a month until he had availability to do the job, once it came time to do the job, he was professional and very communicative. A joy to work with as a contractor. He also got a permit and did everything by the book and had very reasonable pricing. In my case, I had a 220 line he had to run and a small outside light to install. All in all, I'm very happy with his work. He does residential jobs on the side to teach his son the trade, so his availabilty might be limited, but if you're looking for electrical work in the Falls, I definitely recommend giving him a call and seeing if he can help you out. #ServiceStarShoutOut

Unfinished Installation, No Follow-Up - Extremely Disappointed…read more We purchased and installed an air conditioner from Mr. Furnace, and unfortunately, the experience has been deeply disappointing. When we first spoke with the salesperson, we were told that someone named "Insto" would return within a week to complete the remaining work. However, as of today--more than a month later--nothing has been finished. The job site was left incomplete, as you can see in the attached photo, and no one has followed up or contacted us to schedule a proper finish. We've been left completely in the dark and feel abandoned. We trusted this company based on their reputation, but this level of service is unacceptable. We sincerely hope Mr. Furnace sees this and takes action--not just for us, but to ensure other customers don't go through the same frustrating experience.

Misleading, Unreliable, and Completely Unprofessional - Avoid This Company…read moreI hired Mr. Furnace Heating and Air Conditioning for a heat pump installation, and the experience was a disaster from start to finish. They caused significant delays, installed incorrect wiring, failed to take responsibility, misled me about legal action regarding an energy advisor they recommended, and ignored my concerns about my rebate. - Major Delays & Installation Mistakes: The installation was delayed for nearly three weeks due to missing parts. When they finally did the work, an ESA inspector found a serious wiring mistake, causing even more delays. I also had to personally identify a missing wiring element that their installers overlooked, which was an unacceptable level of negligence. - Failure to Take Responsibility: Despite their "satisfaction guarantee," they have refused to properly address these mistakes. Every complaint was met with excuses, escalation, and no real resolution. - False Promises & Misleading Legal Claims: Mr. Furnace recommended and scheduled an energy advisor, Sean Corcoran, for my audit, but he never completed it. When I raised concerns, their sales manager, Adam Bond, told me legal action was being taken against him--but I later found out this was false, with no updates or accountability. - Three Weeks Just to Get an Invoice! After my installation, it took me three weeks of constant follow-ups just to get a copy of my invoice with the heat pump's part numbers. Every time I asked, they claimed it was "escalated"--but nothing happened. I eventually had to drive 1 hour and 30 minutes to their office, where I met with General Manager Sean Picco, who finally provided the invoice. - Ignored Concerns About My Rebate: After assisting with the invoice, Sean Picco has ignored all my emails and calls regarding my concerns about the rebate. Instead of addressing my questions, he has been completely unresponsive. - Unfulfilled Compensation Promises: Manager Mark Heggs promised me $500 in compensation for the massive delays and mistakes. That's barely anything considering my installation cost over $30,000--but even that was never fulfilled. Just another empty promise from this company. And before they reply to this review with their usual "We will be reaching out" response--don't believe it. I have contacted them MANY times, and their tactic is to delay, deflect, and ignore. They do not actually follow through on fixing issues. If you've had a bad experience with Mr. Furnace, you're not alone! Join our Facebook group: "Mr. Furnace Customers Seeking Justice" to connect with others, share your experience, and seek accountability. If you're considering Mr. Furnace for a heat pump installation or any HVAC work, DO NOT hire them. They will take your money, fail to deliver, and leave you chasing them for answers.

The original price was $1000.00 more than any other estimate... when I pushed back on Mr Murphy…read moreabout this because I felt as though he was trying to take advantage of me, and explained the buyer of my property really wanted him because she found him here on Angie's list, he came down the 1000.00 immediately, like he had overcharged to begin with The work was completed and three weeks later my tenant moved out so I could close on the property, the utilities were to be left on as it was the winter, I inspected the property and all was fine. When I went back to the property 3 days later I found out the electric had been shut off! Which in turn shut off our boilers for heat, and it was 40* in the house! When I called the electric company to get it turned back on the told me Twin City hadn't had their work inspected from the town so we could not get it turned back on. I called the owner Mike Friday and Saturday with NO response, finally on Sunday when I left and irate voicemail he called back and came to the house and said it was an oversight by his office... instead of appropriately fixing the problem, he ILLEGALLY cut off the lock out tag from National Grid, and asked us to keep it quiet. We had over $5500.00 in damages that our insurance claim denied because the service had been turned off due to the negligence of Mike Murphy and his company. While we were doing repairs and working with our insurance, Mr Murphy claimed it was his error, asked our deductible so he could cover it and said if insurance denied our claim he would work it out with us. Once we let him rectify the illegal work he did and get the town inspection, we never heard from him again. Our attorney sent him a letter with the charges and he is now claiming WE were responsible for the inspection! I understand it was an oversight not to get the inspection done, but it was his responsibility and that caused major damage at our property! He is untruthful, unethical, and we will be moving forward with a lawsuit. I hope his conscious will kick in and he will rectify the situation!

Mike from Twin City Electrical came out to check out the fire hazard of a breaker box in the house…read morethat my partner and I just bought. That box was an absolute mess and needed to be replaced ASAP. Our home inspector took one look at it and laughed, saying that he couldn't believe that the house was still standing. Needless to say, that was a major priority in terms of renovation order of operations! Mike was very matter of fact when he came out to look at what we had. He explained what needed to be done with the box itself, as well as with the space around the box in order to meet Tonawanda codes. I'll be honest, when he first quoted a price, I felt like it was a bit high. But I'm not afraid of telling someone when I think the price is high and I appreciated that Mike was willing to work with me. After a little discussion we ended up at a price that I felt fit our budget. When it was time to actually complete the job, Mike came out with two of his crew members and made sure that everyone was on the same page about what was getting done. He then left his two assistants to finish the box and run a new line up the side of the house. I can't say enough good things about the guys he had helping him. They were friendly, professional, and clearly knew what they were doing. (My husband knows a bit about electrical work but in Tonawanda you need to be licensed. His familiarity though was enough to be certain at least that the work was done well.) I'm definitely someone who likes to compare before I commit to any expenditure, so definitely call around compare pricing for your job. But I was extremely happy with the quality of the work and with the level of professionalism, so in your comparison shopping I would recommend including Twin City Electrical.
