Not sure why the reviews for this facility is not higher to be honest. Much higher. As our experience was as positive as an ER medical emergency could have been. The staff in charge of intake and triage was the sweetest and caring nurse that one can be. Followed by the resident physician on duty, Dr Collin. Dr Collin was highly knowledgeable, professional, diligent, respectful, friendly, and all around a truly intelligent medical attending. He is clearly well trained and followed through the entire consult process with efficiency and effectiveness. Very very smooth. We considered ourselves lucky to have been treated by Dr Collin. The facility was also an amazing sight. Everything was modern, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. The ER was quiet and calm, unlike other hospitals. Parking was a bit tight, though. Admittedly, no one wants to go to the hospital. But we all will eventually need to for one reason or another. Accidents do happen. Illnesses do happen. St Jude Medical in Fullerton will always be our preferred first choice for an ER or other medical practitioner facility.

The care she received there was absolutely amazing. Our family was there around the clock and saw firsthand the care and compassion that was shown to our daughter. The nurses there were so very knowledgeable and relentless in giving the best care possible. They saved her life. Bri, Chanel, Andrew, Chris, Grace, Devon, Abdullah and the entire staff are super heroes! We are so thankful for them and will never forget the care, compassion and love they showed in caring for our daughter. They were also so sweet to our entire family by bringing us blankets, pillows, water and snacks. Chanel even brought in a recliner for our long nights there. She moved us into one of the quieter rooms too. She was there to always give us updates and make sure we were taking care of ourselves. The first day Bri was with our daughter, she worked her 12 hour shift, plus stayed tirelessly, several hours longer making sure everything was just right. She then turned around and came back at 7am the next day. She always treated our daughter with incredible respect and thoughtfulness. She's a gem!! Andrew was amazing in his care for her. When our daughter moved to Med-Surg, he would come visit her all the time, keeping her spirits up. Devon was there when our daughter arrived in ICU. She knew just what to do in this most critical time. We are thankful for her. Chris was a breath of fresh air. He spent so much time at her bedside talking to her and helping her through a tough time. He kept things light, which is just what we all needed at that time. Abdullah was right by her side in the evening hours when she was having a particularly difficult time. He was a good listener and kept her calm and comfortable. Grace brightened up the room when she came in. Our family just adored her. Her care for our daughter was so sweet. Lastly, we cannot say enough about Dr. Mahmud. She spent so much time with our family. She was incredibly caring and comforting. We never felt rushed when talking to her. We all have such respect for her. Her caring words, compassion and expertise was more than we could have ever asked for. She is a treasure!! Thank you to this wonderful staff. I do hope they are all recognized for the incredible human beings that they are!!

In the very beginning when he first started and was a brand new doctor, he was awesome. Now he's a total jerk and he has his uneducated office staff and PA running the business. just a few of our most prominent issues: 1. I was extorted by the front office, that he would not see me unless I paid a missed appointment, which I did not schedule. 2. The office refused to treat me, for a raging bladder infection that they tested me for, even though I'm a regular annual patient. I refused to pay the $50 to come BACK to the office the same day, for the RX. 3. His physicians assistant incorrectly diagnosed me as having HPV. And I had to go to another doctor for an incredibly painful procedure, all for nothing. I did not have HPV. 4. In my opinion Kurtz now has a God complex, he didn't used to. ***5. THEY REFUSED TO TREAT ME, AFTER I LEFT MY URINE SAMPLE....UNLESS I PAID WHAT FEELS LIKE A $50 EXTORTION FEE, in order to give me my prescription. When the doctor says they don't hold back care because of an unpaid balance, that is entirely incorrect, and I believe he's lying. His behavior is reprehensible, and he is fully aware of this. Don't say you weren't warned. ....*add the fact that he stands by his uneducated and extremely unprofessional staff, says even more. Do better Dr Kurtz. We ended up going to Dr Annette Bernhut in Orange and she is AWESOME. She cares about you as a person, vs you being the enemy

I fully trust in the professionals. However, we recently transferred our father to this facility due to the situation and facility he was in prior to entering Kindred. From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted with professionalism. The nurses and doctors on staff were always attentive to his needs and did an amazing job at communicating with us. Not too shortly after, his health took a turn for the worse so he was transferred to the ICU unit. There, he received top notch care. The nursing staff was more than accommodating, attentive, communicative and professional. Most of all, calm and empathetic to the situation. He didn't end up making it out but I will say that the treatment and care that my father received was something I've never seen before. The doctor made sure to call me everyday to talk about treatment plans, status, etc. The nurses never hesitated to answer questions and give us updates. The facility itself is well run and clean. I honestly felt an open door policy with the admin staff as well. I would recommend this place in a heart beat. I couldn't have asked for anything better for my dad throughout the last few weeks of his life.

The care that I received there was totally different than the care I received in the Acute Section. I feel that CNA Brenda helped me more than I can even put into words. She was A+ excellent! There were less patients in this Section compared to the Acute Section. In addition, those of us there no longer needed the intense medical interventions that we previously needed. For me, that meant that I was no longer on a drip IV antibiotic, but rather on just swallowing one antibiotic capsule daily. This represented a move in the right direction or to say it better, one last step before being given the go-ahead to go home! Once again Victoria, the Patient Advocate was by my side in every manner. When I had a complaint, she listened. When I had something good to say, she listened. She was fabulous!! While this section had a smaller gym than the Acute Section, I feel as though more positive goals and accomplishments for me were met in this gym. I was introduced to Amir and two of his assistants, Daniela and Genevieve, in this gym. If there can be a grade over and above A+, that's what I give to Amir. He didn't care if I said I was in too much pain to do anything. He made me do the therapy anyway, which in the end, made me feel so much better. He took me from a five to at least an eight in approximately a week and a half. Amir, you are the best!!! However, as nice as this all sounded, one thing remained the same. The food service was almost never correct. I continued to receive items I didn't order. The last few days I was there, the Food Service Manager personally delivered to me my meals, making sure I was getting what I would eat. There was no variety. For the most part, I was given either a cheese quesadilla or a little cheese pizza, along with two cups of watermelon. While I liked that, it did get a little boring having the same thing day in and day out. Aside from the food service, everything and everyone in this Section helped me to recover to the point that, on October 12th, I was given the green light to go home. I'm giving this Section 5 stars!

I've been to several other locations, and parking is always an issue - not here. Normally, I'd never drive all the way out here, but the specialist I was seeing - came with high recommendations - and so I made the trek out to Yorba Linda, my first time here ever. I was greeted almost immediately after I stepped into the clinic. The front desk/admitting workers are practically right in front of you right when you walk in. The entire clinic is clean, warm, and inviting. The atmosphere seems more like a hotel lobby, than a medical office. I was only able to take a photo of the exterior, since patient privacy applies inside, of course. The MA rooming me literally called me within minutes after I left the front desk for check-in. Wait is very minimal here, which is great - it shows they are respectful of your time. The physician I saw was awesome. Warm, great bedside manner. Answered all my questions, after listening intently. I always try to ensure my first visit with a new physician to be in-person, before opting for telehealth for future visits. That request was accommodated without issue when I scheduled my follow-up.

I've done similar routine visits with bloodwork before and only ever paid my standard copay. At the end of the appointment, Dr. Rebecca Sauer casually recommended additional bloodwork since I was already there. Before agreeing, I explicitly asked whether it would be covered under my copay. She told me yes, so I agreed. How does casually recommended bloodwork during a routine visit somehow turn into a $900 bill after I explicitly asked whether it would be covered? Reading through these reviews, it's concerning how many people describe nearly identical experiences involving routine visits turning into unexpectedly massive bills. At a certain point, this stops feeling like isolated billing issues and starts feeling systemic.

It was easy to get appointments for me, for some reason (because my husband tried and he couldn't get decent appointments at all, and he has more availability than me). I met with Susan Mammen on my first visit, for evaluation. She was very friendly and thorough, I really appreciated her time and her care. I only saw her for 2 of my visits, however, which was unfortunate. I also saw Wendy Winters for 2 visits, her hands-on technique was incredible and both times I left there feeling more comfortable than when I walked in. Both Susan and Wendy sent me off with great stretches and instructions. I was happy to see both of these PTs. My last 4 appointments were scheduled with Brittany Pham. She is a very sweet girl and gave me some great exercises to do at home. That being said, she was very talkative and most of the sessions were her talking and using her hands to talk so the therapy pressure was either not there or very light. I felt like I got zero therapy or relief under her visits. At the other physical therapy places I've been to, I get quite a bit of hands-on time and assistance with exercises, typical visits are about an hour. Not at St. Jude, here I was in and out in about 15 minutes. The PTs never left my side, which was nice, but I felt like there could have been so much more done to help me out. I did get a couple of valuable stretches to do, so hopefully my shoulder pain will start getting better on it's own.
