All the staff and caregivers at Gordon Lane seem consistently excellent in their calm, considerate, and skillful working relationship with their patients. To a one, they also seem to appreciate each other and their employer. I have always found smiles on their faces, and never a distracted or conflicted attitude when assisting their patients. I would never go there again. I had a setback after major surgery and needed care to recover my core strength so I could safely go to the restroom on my own. I told them this was my goal. Once they got me there they put me in a diaper! After putting up with this for several days I threatened to require transfer to another care center. Then they promised to get a commode for me for my bedside. They kept promising and promising, and never did it for the 6+ weeks I was there! In addition, the first space I was assigned had a TV that would only turn off if you unplugged it. Also, their TV channels did not include KTLA, a major local channel. Hygiene was also an issue. The curtain between me and my neighbor had smear of snot or other bodily fluids on it. It took more than a week for them to change it. Later on I had a chest infection and I got some fluid on the new curtain. When I told the cleaning crew, all they did was rehang the same curtain with the side toward my neighbor (who was there for cancer treatment)! There was also a security issue. One male resident, who apparently had some form of dementia, kept wandering the halls and entering my space, claiming he was visiting a friend (no males were in my unit, and the other resident also did not want him in our unit). I told the staff and they cautioned him ("you don't want to go back to the hospital (mental?), do you?"), but he continued to poke his head into my unit. I observed them lying to residents. They took away my neighbor's wheelchair because they didn't want her wandering unaccompanied in the halls, but told her they didn't know what happened to it. They promised physical therapy four times a week but I never received more than 10 to 15 minutes two or three times a week, and when I asked for more they said staff were unavailable. read more

My mom with Dimentia that needed skilled support and rehab went in this facility from Admission till the end .... service and quality of care was top notch. My mom is a very difficult patient with combative and aggressive behaviors but the staff and administration team worked so hard to make it work with all the support they can give. We have to find another placement for my mom that can cater more on her needs and geriatric meds needs to be well regulated with a locked unit, if I had the choice I would not go else where. Thank you Ms Sadaf, Natalie, Theresa, & Ms Olga and the whole Nsg staff to the one on one care she got from the CNA: Erik & Grace. We are forever grateful!! I'd give 10 negative stars if I could. Awful! Terrible service. Staff is lazy and they don't respond to patients. It's really bad 3 beds to a room. It's like a puppy mill for those that really need care. Sad. Their audit pile is ridiculous thick. The nurse tried to double dose my grandma on a medication and then the staff denied it. I would like to say I was at this nursing home for 2 months with a broken leg.susie that works mornings was very nice professional she treated me and all the patients with respects he did a great job .also Chad he was the pharmacist,was also very professioal,very kind treated everyone with respect,the younger girls that worked at night they left people in there diapers for hours they were too busy talking amongst themselves, the day girls were the best Susie was great you have a awesome employee I was in room 9b I don't know Susie's last name but she was the best. read more

My dad recently had a stroke and we needed to find a nursing center for him to get on a more intensive rehab program. Upon visiting the facility, we immediately noticed the family-like environment. The entire staff was very amicable with one another and looked genuinely happy to be there. Their interactions with their patients were genuine and caring. Even though we didn't love the idea of my dad staying at a nursing facility, we immediately knew we wanted to go with Gordon Lane. When my dad was first admitted here, he was aphasic (unable to speak) and right side was flaccid. He spent 22 days here in total. When he was discharged home, he was walking unassisted and was able to have conversations. We attribute a large part of his success to the rehab team and the nurses who cared for him. We are grateful for the administrative team for making the experience so seamless. We received exemplary care at Gordon Lane and would highly recommend this facility to anyone. read more

I wanted to take a moment to share my mothers care at Gordon Lane. My mother was a resident for 17 months and overall received great care. The facility was always very clean, sanitary and never had soiled linen in the halls. My mother was always bathed, freshly clothed and her hair was always brushed and cleaned. Staff was great, however a few were excellent. Olga is a caring, sensitive person and ALWAYS listens. Olga, you are the best! In the last days of my moms life, I can't express the care she received from Davis. He is an amazing, compassionate, caring person. He not only was diligent in making certain she was comfortable, he took great care of my sister and I in this difficult time. THANK YOU Davis! Olivia also was there for us and was very professional and caring. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to have a loved one at the facility, however, the one area of improvement needed is management. In person, the persona is very caring. But make no mistake, you will need to be firm and and advocate for your loved one if it interferes with the almighty dollar. I liken it to the Wizard behind the curtain pulling the strings. Overall Gordon Lane is fantastic as to the patients care while they are a resident! read more

My grandmother was a patient at Gordon Lane for rehabilitation after a lengthy hospital visit. She praised Gordon Lane for their care and meals supplied during her stay. My major (and still unresolved) issue with Gordon Lane deals with missing personal property. We were instructed to supply 5 days of clothing upon my grandmother's admission, to which we did. We were assured, upon a personal property inventory being conducted, that all of her clothing would be marked with her name for safe keeping. Despite supplying her own clothing, every day that I saw her, she was wearing clothing that belonged to other people, despite the fact that her packed bag was in a closet mere feet from her bed. Upon her discharge, when reviewing the personal property inventory completed during her admission, we found that half of her clothing was missing. Gordon Lane, despite assuring us that her property would be marked, never did so, and therefore I was instructed to go into their laundry facilities are sort through clothes to try to find the missing pieces, to no avail. One of the employees even suggested I go through every patient's closet throughout the facility to search for the missing items, which I immediately declined and said that would be a major invasion of other patients' privacies. We left Gordon Lane without recovering any missing pieces. Upon my grandmother returning home, I found that she was wearing socks that didn't belong to her, and were also clearly labeled with another patient's name. It seems even if her property was clearly marked as Gordon Lane promised to do, it still wouldn't have mattered. We have yet to have Gordon Lane rectify the situation and find ourselves spending unnecessary money replacing numerous items of clothing. I still don't understand if my grandmother was never placed in the clothing we provided with her, how it made its way out of her packed and zipped bag and into someone else's hands. I would highly caution anyone considering Gordon Lane to be extremely careful with whatever property they send in with their loved ones. read more

My younger brother who paraplegic is under their care. Can I just say this is one of the nicest rehabilitation centers I've ever seen. The cleanliness and amenities for the clients and visitors is incredible. Not one miserable looking patient in sight. Great nursing home. My husband was paralyzed from Guillian Barre and was transported there from UCI in Orange County February 2021. He stayed at Gordon Lane until June of that year. The staff are great,Olga who was then the administrator was fantastic and went over and beyond to help.and Jaime the manager wow great guy helped and again went over and beyond to help my husband. The therapists Rudy helped my husband to walk with a walker but still needed a wheelchair. Looking for a good nursing home this is the place to go. My husband today August 11 went back to see the named staff above to show them how he can now walk without a walker,no need for a wheelchair. The encouragement from the staff helped him immensely. My Mom was at Park Vista, supposedly the best nursing home, but Gordon Lane is way better. The staff at Girdon Lane are amazing, especially Eric. My Mom has heart and kidney failure and dementia. She can be very needy, but Gordon Lane's staff does a great job taking care of anything she might need. Unlike Park Vista, I feel comfortable having my Mom stay at Gordon Lane. While the facility might not look as nice as Park Vista, the standard of care provided is what matters most...and you'll get that at Gordon Lane. read more

My elderly mother fell ill and had to get transported to an assisted living center. After calling around, we found Gordon Lane in the City of Fullerton. The staff at Gordon Lane were amazing, attentive, extremely patient, and the facility was extremely clean. The nurses were right on time for medication and checking constantly with the patients. The nutritionists in the kitchen knew the perfect meal for each patients dietary needs. The main administration Sadaf was an angle and she facilitated everything for us. My father was at this facility for almost 3weeks recovering from a broken femur. Our case manage, Jasmine Brown was amazing! She made sure my dad's needs were met and assured he was in great hands. I give Jasmine 5 stars! The reason I rated 4 stars was because of other things that could be improved; one CNA should not be working there, food can be improved, physical therapy time could have been longer and there was not enough area or space for proper sessions. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here at Gordon Lane while healing broken bones. The physical and occupational therapistsare capable and thorough. I received excellent care with staff members who were attentive, positive and friendly. Gordon Lane also provides many activities each day to provide residence with fun, fitness, and stimulation. I arrived just before Christmas and the.decorations were fabulous, as they have been for each holiday since. My dad was a patient here in the summer. He was very hesitant coming since this was his first time at a skilled nursing facility. After just a few days he was able to adjust just fine thanks to the staff there. Jasmine the weekend gal was always so friendly and helpful. My elderly mother was transferred here after the board and care she was staying at was not doing a very good job. She was dehydrated and lethargic. After she came to the facility, her behavior changed drastically and she began to speak to us again. I could not have asked for more from a facility. I try to visit her as much as I can, but I know when I cannot make the time, she will be cared for. Olga Soto has been a shining star for us as she helped relocate her there and made sure that my mother had everything she needed to live her best life. These people refuse to let my mom out of the hospital. We kept calling to get her transferred but they kept saying that she didn't want to go to another hospital, but when we forcibly tried to take her out they put in an Iv saying that she needed it. On the way to the other hospital she was complaining that in this hospital they didn't give her water for two days. Also, her mattress was hard as a rock and the food was lousy. read more

It was his first time in a skilled nursing facility for short term care, so it was a hard decision to make. After my experience, I'm glad I did. He was assigned to Dr. Dolouie and he provided such great care to him; I also want to recognize CNA Blanca, Victoria, charge nurse Harman who were also wonderful to him. We had such a pleasant experience after being there for several weeks. Also, I want to recognize the rehab team with Ryan, Justin, and Jen who really helped improve his condition. I would like to share my amazing experience at this facility where my dad received the most loving care for the last 5 months of his life. He was transferred to Gordon Lane in mid November 2023 post hospitalization for his late stage dementia. From the beginning he was welcomed with utmost care, respect and compassion. During his first weeks he received physical therapy and occupational therapy when he still had some strength left in his fragile body. Shortly after that he lost his ability to swallow and therefore had to have a special soft diet to receive nutrients. Every nurse, CNA and staff was trying their best to make him feel comfortable as best as they could. I visited him almost everyday and he was always clean, shaved, groomed and smelled good. His clothing were changed everyday and he never had any bed soar even though he could not move during his stay and was bed bound the entire time. This place always smelled good and was super clean every time I visited. The staff are all caring and go above and beyond to make sure that patients are as comfortable as possible during their stay. The doctors, nurses, nutritionists and most importantly Sadaf, who runs the place are angels sent from heaven! I can never thank them enough for taking care of my dad. God bless them all read more

My Mom has been in different Nursing Facility for the last 2 years, on May this year she was in hospital she stay there for 2 weeks and was really bad service then the doctor contact me said it's no hope for your Mom we'll send her to Hospice. on May 27th at 9:30pm the Hospice company they moved her to Gordon Lane Care Center, after the Ambulance left the nurse told me we don't accept Hospice so we'll keep her until morning. In the morning I meet with Hospice person and the most wonderful and Great Staff form Gordon Lane. Mrs. Sadaf Roodbaei and Mrs. Teresa Villegas, They told me if you need your Mom to continue in Hospice we have to move her out. BUT if you want to let us give a tray we'll keep her, I feel I'm taking to Angels with great hope. NOW I can say they save my Mom life. every day she getting better. I can't Thank the two Angels Mrs. Sadaf & Mrs. Teresa and all the staff for they great service and kindness. Also how clean and safe this facility. My uncle was there from May - June 2021 recovering from surgery and some urine issues. He received great care at this facility. They do have strict visiting guidelines which we had no problems with. They are always available to assist with Medicare questions and other general health problems. While there he was transported to see other doctor specialist. They brought in vision, dental, and podiatrist services. Olga answered all of our questions and concerns. Can't thank them enough. read more

I went to preview this facility before my mom moves in as we had a horrible experience at a previous Nursing Home. I met with Olga the administrator who gave me a tour. Yes the place is beautiful, clean, spacious and NOT crowded. All plus signs. What sold me on this being a great place is I spoke to some of the family members there seeing their loved ones. One person this place is a godsend compared to where they came from before. Another person told me this place is unbelievable and takes such good care of her loved on since September! As I walked down the hallway, ever staff member made eye contact and smiled. Knowing the kind of care your loved one will get is so important and Olga took the time and even went above and beyond in helping my understand the care she'll get under the current insurance we have. Even went as far as giving me more information on what I could do to get better coverage as well as the next steps once she leaves the facility to go home. Amazing! I am an occupational therapist who started working at Gordon Lane Care Center since 2012 and I will personally attest that I've seen this building transform from a regular hospital/nursing home setting to a clean, fast-paced, home-like, family and customer oriented facility. Despite the high demands and challenges of our healthcare system, the Gordon Lane Staff thrives. They will listen, attend and take time to pay attention to each individuals needs. Though this might seem to be unrealistic for some, one thing is for sure- Each staff member cares and will always try to do their best. No wonder this Facility is 5 Stars! Currently, I am the Director of Rehabilitation of this facility. We have a combined experience of more than 50 years in dealing with orthopedic, neurological, cardiovascular conditions. I am blessed with a very enthusiatic, dynamic and patient-centered staff. We have retained the same team for almost 5 years. My Grandma recently broke her hip & her physician listed 3 local nursing homes he goes to. I chose Gordon Lane because the staff was knowledgeable from our first tour & visit. I met with Ana & Dennis who explained insurance & rehab to me. I am a nurse so, I was able to wrap my head around the rest of the care & I was hard on myself for not being able to care for her at home by myself. The truth is, if she had tried to rehab at home, she wouldn't have done so well both physically and emotionally. Rudy and Krista played such a big role in her progress & in her willingness to to rehab. I found every staff member to be accommodating. The parking can sometimes be challenging and one day when I was waiting for a parking spot to open up, the business rep saw me & told me about the rear parking & even called the front office to have people move their cars for families. They are proactive in customer service and my family appreciates every bit of care and service we recieved. I recommend this nursing home to anyone who needs to rehab. read more
