A little gem of a place. One that demonstrates the benefits of fresh herbs and straight off the wok…read morecooking. Meat was well cooked and vegetables retained their proper taste without being drowned out by their sauces. We went on a very quiet night so service was good. Wine was reasonably priced but not of the highest quality. To be honest you're there for the food. There aren't too many covers so it would probably be worth booking on a weekend. It's been a while so really glad to rediscover this place.

Thai Villa is a lovely little local-type place. It appears to be family-run, and has all of the…read morethings you'd expect from a Thai restaurant like this. It's teeny tiny inside, and often busy, so if you're coming on a Friday or Saturday night, it's best to call ahead. The staff though are very nice and will do all they can to accommodate you. I've also found it's quite busy at Christmas with the local businesses having their Christmas 'do' here. I normally find myself there after work, having come out of the back entrance to Pinner Station. They open around 6ish - I have tried a few times at 615pm and found the door still locked, the workers clustered around a table eating their dinner (always a good sign!). I was let in with a smile and an apology and a frantic clearing of the table. I am a creature of habit, and we normally get a mixed starter to share - all very tasty, and I'm especially partial to the sweetcorn cake. Then I get a massaman or a penang curry, and my husband generally ends up getting whichever I don't get. And coconut rice, of course! All of that comes to around £20, which isn't too bad, especially considering there just aren't many choices for Thai in this area that I know of! If they delivered, they'd get the 5th star. And I'd be poorer.

The menu is half Chinese, half Indian. A nice selection of dishes, some classics and some more modern creations. I had the pani puri shots. You can have them with or without vodka. This is quite a fun appetiser, but could have been executed better. The green water was not mixed properly and the shells were not full. Not bad though. You put the whole shell in your mouth, crunch crunch and then take the shot of green spice water. You get six shot glasses, five with the green water and one with yoghurt and tamarind, although the server called this turmeric, which it was not. The potato bhajia was pretty good, nice and crispy and a large serving. All the sauces are made off-site and purchased from a vendor (they told me). The tamarind sauce was soso, but chilli sauce was good. The mango lassi was a bit small being served in a copper mug, rather than a tall glass. I imagine this lounge is nice looking in the evening a probably the place to be in the local suburbia. But service was a bit inattentive. Literally 10 people running back and forth, but no one stopping to check on you. In an empty restaurant. At least I got a £5 off when downloading the app.

I loved the Thai Curry noodle dish. I think it is called Kham sol. I gave it an 8/10 as it tasted like something I would have in Bangkok or Malaysia. It was well made. My friend ordered the Korean Don Buri special. It could not finish it as we had loaded up with apptizers. He gave it a 7/10. Another had the Green curry and loved the taste. It had an jndian slang to how It tasted. He gave it a 7/10. Oberall we enjoyed it here and were wwll served beyond closing time. Price is in the $$ range and worth it. Will be back if I ever come by.
