Overall the taste was great. Ordered half Incredible and half Soy chicken. The incredible had a smooth mayo sauce and diced chili peppers for some spice. It was a good mix of textures and flavours. Wish there was more spice outside of the peppers. The soy was a little sweet for my taste but was a nice, savoury coating. The rice cake in both added a nice chew and the pickled radish was an amazing palatte cleanser. The chicken was overall nice and crispy, however, the chicken was not as juicy as some other places and some pieces were just batter and no chicken. Went back for chicken again. But this time we dined in rather than take out. The dine in menu is slightly different from the take out menu. They have additional items like corn cheese that comes in a hot sizzling platter, brought to your table. The quality of the chicken and the green onion topping (yes, I ordered the same thing again), was just as good if not better than the take out. With a side of corn tea and the kind owner checking up on us ever so often, it was a wonderful dining experience. Be weary though that the store is slightly chilly. My FAVOURITE tteokbokki spot! Just the perfect most comforting taste and the portion is huge. Definitely good for 2 average servings. I like their mu with it! Their dumplings are okay. I wish they had more vegetarian options because I eat halal. I can't get much here. In terms of the ambiance and staff, It's quite homely inside. I wouldn't say the ambiance is classy, but it has it's own charm to it. Staff are nice. The shop is pretty small. Would recommend overall :) I'm craving the tteokbokki this moment (at 3am lord help me). I really want to try the corn cheese! read more

The owner opened up the shop early for us. Really nice guy. I think he was a chef somewhere else before. Alcohol I love how they also have all the flavoured soju and mukgulli. Those things are hard to find in this city. He had a fresh shipment when we went in. Korean Fried chicken / KFC But food is amazing I mean it's also the only place to get korean fried chicken. The KFC comes with fried rice cakes. We got spicy green onion fried chicken. It's spicy in two ways the onions and the spice. But onions make it more spicy for me. But I love it . Both rice cakes Those are so good crispy on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside. We also got the normal spicy rice cakes. They're not that spicy I just assumed he toned it down for the general public. But I think I have a higher spice tolerance than most. So if you have a high spice tolerance go for extra spicy if you can. read more

FYI this is a take out order review - We ordered the spicy green onion chicken to share for two people with a side of pickled radish. Honestly it was pretty tasty - the spicy green onions were sour and mildly spicy and paired really well with the chicken. I personally loved the deep fried ddukboki that was mixed in with the dish. I'm giving this a three star review because the chicken was super dry. I really wanted to love it but it was just not juicy at all. It was well seasoned and I could see it being a perfect dish if it wasn't so dry. That being said it was a take out order so I'd really like to go to the restaurant and try eating there. For one order it was a solid size and more than enough for two people - it came up to $26 for the whole meal. read more

Absolutely amazing place. I've been here for about 20 times so I'm biased in what I say but it's the best in town, even compared to some dedicated Korean fried chicken places in Toronto. They have a lot on the menu, I recommend green onion (spicy or not) and the seasoned chicken. The price may seem expensive but half chicken is good for two average person and their portions are far more than generous. Absolutely worth the price. The interior is small and sometimes will get populated. It is a nicer experience to sit in and enjoy the meal hot and fresh than taking it home but the takeout menu is very decent as well, especially the cup chickens. The owner and staff are really nice too! If you want really crisp fried chicken maybe not your most desired place to go, but as someone who misses Korean chicken it's an amazing 5 star, 100% satisfaction guaranteed. read more
