I literally have no explanation why there aren't more awesome Asian places on this side. But thank God there is at least one. It's a literal hole in the wall and as cliché as it may sound it's one of those hidden gems. It's next-door to the Hyatt place; located in the Soriana supermarket building. Even then it's in a hard to see corner unless you know it's there. They really need your help to spread the word . It would be a pity if they are unsuccessful because nobody knows they are there. I've been to a number of quite highly rated so called Asian restaurants in this area and there is not an Asian face to see for miles. Definitely no Asians behind the counter or in the kitchen. I begged to differ; but I still ate it all because it literally cost an arm and a leg and I was outnumbered one a half billion to one. Shuyama; however, is it rare exception. I had the Singapore curry noodle with chicken breast. It was lightly flavored And the curry tasted like realcurry and it was not overpowering, the chicken breast was fresh and the portions were very very generous. The price was ridiculously low. I wish this guy the very best. You should absolutely try this place. You will be pleasantly surprised. This is not a fancy restaurant at all. It's tiny but it packs a punch. Right now I'm going to take my own advice and go back for lunch. I'll try something else besides the Singapore noodles.
