This place is HORRIBLE for live music. If you're there to actually listen to a band - like, if…read moreyou've paid for tickets to hear the music, forget about it. I don't understand it, but it seems like the folks are just there to drink and have screaming loud conversations. That's fine and fun if you have not, again, paid for a ticket to HEAR A BAND. So, if you're not sitting within a few feet of the stage, it's hard to give the music a good listen. And if it's an acoustic set, you're probably out of luck altogether. We paid a bit extra for seats in the balcony and it was sweet the way they put nametags out to save our spots, but the noisy crowd directly behind us, non-stop, made it necessary to abandon those seats. The lower level wasn't much better until we moved very close to the stage. If there had been a big crowd, we would have been out of luck. Other friends have had similar experiences. The cocktails were expensive but yummy. The place was clean and cute. It's a shame the crowd was so rude and there's nothing anyone can, or will, do about it. This region has some great live music venues; this is not one of them.

The parking was organized and there were many employees available to help you with any questions. Some notes: 1. Wear sneakers -- there are long lines outside on grass and lots of walking through the haunted areas. 2. Porta potties located throughout the attraction. Bring hand sanitizer. 3. They have smoke throughout the entire area -- inside and outside. If you have asthma, bring your inhaler just in case. 4. Lines are long so think of ways to entertain yourselves during the wait. The earlier you get there, the less you'll wait in the lines. There were entertainers throughout the lines but they were infrequent. 5. There was a snack stand right before the first attraction that sold pretzels, hot dogs, candy, and drinks. There is also the pumpkin patch at the end of the route that has carnival vibe food areas with funnel cake, corn dogs, fries, slushies, candy, etc. 6. The first haunted house has many exits if the place is too scary. Because of this, the first one wasn't as scary. On the other hand, the other 2 attractions did not have exits if it is too scary. 7. There's a VIP line and it looked worth it after standing in lines all night.

Our tour started almost 30 minutes late because the guide was waiting for a personal friend to arrive - and on top of that we hended up having a spark notes version of the tour because of an event happening later in the afternoon. Our questions were shot down and we were told we would cover that topic during a different section of the tour. That part never came. We missed several buildings and the buildings we did see we weren't permitted to view inside/certain floors. They tried to end the tour over an hour early, but as soon as we demanded a refund/reschedule opportunity they said we could go backtrack to a few different places that we had initially not been permitted to see. The guide started the tour full of energy and stories - she told us about court cases that lead to many current laws and legislations that have been passed. However, after she tried to end the tour early that same energy she had was lost. For the entire last hour of the tour we were brought to empty rooms and told very little history of the place. Instead she just spoke to a few individuals (which I'm assuming are the ones she knew personally). This experience was a wasted drive, and quite frankly wasted money. They prioritized a specialty event that was happening instead of focusing on each and every individual tour - who honestly had paid just as much to be here. We spent more time standing around and waiting than we did hearing about this places history.

Shy Guys Arcade in Royersford is a really cool spot if you're into retro gaming or just want a fun…read moreplace to hang out. They have a great selection of classic arcade machines plus some newer setups, including a Switch 2 and old school Nintendo games from the 90s. The best part is it's only $8 an hour for unlimited play, which is honestly a great deal. When we went, we basically had the whole arcade to ourselves, so it was easy to move around and try everything. The staff was super friendly and welcoming they even interacted with my 2 year-old and made her feel included too. The cafe area was nice too. We only grabbed drinks and a muffin, but that muffin was really good, which is way better than I expected from an arcade cafe. Overall, it's a fun place to spend some time, relax, and revisit some childhood memories. Definitely recommend checking it out.

When I went in, I was immediately greeted and felt welcome. I recently pulled my guitar out of storage and was looking to just get the strings changed. They not only changed the strings, they also tested all of the electronics & they refreshed the fret board and cleaned up my guitar. Will be back soon for sure!

Great concert Saturday night in Wyomissing's Atonement Lutheran Church. All three pieces on the…read moreprogram were terrific; the big draw was Beethoven's Triple Concerto, which got a bravura turn from three soloists playing as visiting musicians with the Sinfonietta. But the second piece was a revelation in its own right; a symphony from Mozart contemporary Leopold Kozeluch, who featured much of the dynamics Beethoven would later employ to great effect. This thunderous 6th Symphony was tremendous fun. The Sinfonietta does a great job resuscitating music that has been ignored or forgotten. All were performed under guest conductor Tyler Readinger, who kept the orchestra moving in and out well behind the Beethoven soloists. High-quality music. The concert began with a few pieces played by student musicians in the Berks Camerata, especially some of Dvorak's American String Quartet.

Berks Sinfonietta is a unique community chamber orchestra based in Berks County, PA. As community support grows through increased ticket sales and through greater support from individuals and area businesses, the concert schedule will expand accordingly. I should probably mention that Berks Sinfonietta is a 501(c)(3) organization and that means donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by state and federal tax regulations. The orchestra is unique because it is made up of residents of Berks County and it focuses on diverse programming that includes compositions by women composers, composers from minority communities and contemporary composers that are often overlooked by more mainstream orchestras. Tickets are extremely affordable with special consideration given to children and to student IDs! Information about the current concert schedule is posted on the orchestra's website. Concert tickets are also available through their website. Life is about creating memorable experiences, and live music provides that in abundance! Little did we know it was actually FASCINATING; it was so fun to admire every last piece in the museum. The tram guide was great, the pre-recorded audio is helpful and interesting, and the collection is so varied and extensive that you can't help but love it. The pipe organs - fabulous. The walkable "toy box" collection was great after the tram. Overall, I'd recommend this to anyone - it was soooo fun.

A TELEX MACHINE (which I used to operate). When I asked the staff if they had one none of them even knew what I was talking about (early 20's)! We took the tram tour and really enjoyed it. The tram moved at a nice pace so you could really take in everything. So much to see - everywhere. It was a really fun way to spend a few hours on a rainy day! But I urge you to visit rain or shine!

Ed is a true master - one of the first graduates of the world-renowned Krenov School of Fine Woodworking. It's under his close supervision and attention you will learn and build in a spacious, fully equipped shop. I walked into the beginner furniture and cabinet making class with a simple expectation to build something out of wood, but I walked out with a new mindset, a sense of great accomplishment and courage to continue pursuing learning this amazing craft...and I made beautiful oak bench.
