I visited the Goggleworks website (www.goggleworks.org) and was impressed with the options available. Via email, I inquired with my questions and was answered immediately. We ultimately chose a private glassblowing session. Remember when you are choosing to partake in these artisanal sessions, you are paying for the artisan's expertise and sharing of knowledge . So at first glance, it may seem pricey. However, given the experience as a whole, it does NOT disappoint! Our instructor Andrew was awesome! His energy and passion matched our excitement. He made our experience so much more fun with his anecdotes about the glassblowing. He explained everything in detail; we never felt rushed or uncomfortable about our skill level. There were four of us in our glassblowing session. He expertly guided us in the best artisan experience I have ever had. For our glassblowing class, we all chose to make drinking glasses. Each of us chose different color palettes to match our varying personalities. Of course, due to the nature of glassblowing, it was a very HOT experience but we were dressed accordingly and hydrated throughout. After we each had our turn, our glasses were immediately placed in a temperature-controlled device (I can't remember its name) to slowly cool the glass down and prevent cracking. We were not permitted to take the glasses home but rather had to come back another day to pick them up. After our session, we headed back to the main Goggleworks building to check out the art exhibits, gift store, and (what I'll call) the artist alley of artisans' work spaces and offices. We spent lots of time enjoying the space and speaking with varying artists. Turns out that the space is a former goggles factory that was used back in the 1800s and the space takes great care in preserving its history. It's soooo cool. It was truly enjoyable!! I highly recommend Goggleworks! This is one of my most memorable experiences!! I can't wait to see our glasses. Note: We arrived early to have breakfast at the onsite cafe, Thorn Alley Kitchen (see separate Yelp review for more details).

We walked in and the lady behind the retail/customer service desk told us about the building and where to walk since it was our first time visiting, she was very lovely! It is an absolutely beautiful building and all of the art is amazing. Some pieces you are able to buy which I find very cool!

I feel that the 6 - 7 - 8 year olds should be corrected when they are running through a drill and doing something wrong or not good enough/to their full potential. So, in a way I feel the classes are a waste of money. *The studio and rooms are always freezing cold! I mean freezing to the point where the kids have to wear hoodies in class. Traditional dance studios are boiling hot and would never air condition or allow a room to get cold. Dancers have a better chance of injuring themselves in a freezing cold room. In all, I'm not sure how I feel. To me, it seems like this is more of a place where a mom and daughter, who have dance experience, just randomly decided to open up a studio for the fun of it and more for recreation instead of actually training children to become dancers. I guess it's ok if you're just looking for an after school activity and want to spend a ton of money on costumes for a recital at the end of the year, or if you're one of the lucky ones with talent, for competitions. But if you want training, you won't find that here.

I don't understand it, but it seems like the folks are just there to drink and have screaming loud conversations. That's fine and fun if you have not, again, paid for a ticket to HEAR A BAND. So, if you're not sitting within a few feet of the stage, it's hard to give the music a good listen. And if it's an acoustic set, you're probably out of luck altogether. We paid a bit extra for seats in the balcony and it was sweet the way they put nametags out to save our spots, but the noisy crowd directly behind us, non-stop, made it necessary to abandon those seats. The lower level wasn't much better until we moved very close to the stage. If there had been a big crowd, we would have been out of luck. Other friends have had similar experiences. The cocktails were expensive but yummy. The place was clean and cute. It's a shame the crowd was so rude and there's nothing anyone can, or will, do about it. This region has some great live music venues; this is not one of them.

The play (School of Rock) was boring and most of the instruments were little better than toys - sound was obviously controlled from backstage. Even soda and water were overpriced. The theatre itself is nice and simple, and I like that you pick your table ahead of time. From the moment we sat down, every staff member greeted us, which was such a nice touch. They walked us through how the night would go, and everything felt super organized. For appetizers, we had mac and cheese and bruschetta -- both solid choices. The mac and cheese was simple but tasty, and the bruschetta was fresh and flavorful. For entrées, we went with the salmon (roasted potatoes & string beans) and the filet mignon (same sides). The salmon was a little overcooked, and I do wish we could have picked our own sides, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. Everything was still good. Dessert was hands down the highlight. The apple crisp and brownie sundae were amazing. And then the show... wow. The acting, the singing, the dancing; all fantastic. They absolutely crushed Footloose! Definitely recommend this place if you want dinner and a show all in one. I'd go again in a heartbeat. 1000000000/10 recommend.

It alleviated some of our stress knowing that we had one less thing to worry about having our DJ secured for our new date. Their website was so organized and helped us to put in all of our requests and create our wedding timeline. Steve, our DJ, called us to discuss all the details and make sure that he knew everything we wanted so that he could make our day perfect! And it did turn out perfect! Steve was fantastic. He knew how to read the room and play what the crowd was enjoying while also sticking to a lot of our requested songs. Our dance floor was packed the entire night. Steve had everyone on the dance floor from our 25 year old friends to my 87 year old grandmother (who I haven't seen dance in years!). We got so many compliments on the music and how much fun our wedding was!! I highly recommend Soundfactor for anyone looking to have a perfect wedding reception.

They're not comparable to the other DJ's that I've looked at. We were assigned Cole as our DJ for our wedding and he did nothing short of an amazing job! He was lively, followed the itinerary exactly without confusion, and played awesome music that appealed to everyone. He also did our ceremony. Originally we were going to go with a live band but for a fraction of the price they offered ceremonies in their package and I don't regret it. There were no mess ups whatsoever and he made our night run so smoothly. DJ's are so important to weddings - they set the mood for the most part and people rely on them for a good time. I can assure you that was achieved with Cole. My guests had come up to me afterwards saying how great he was. My husband and I also had our guests light sparklers. We ran through a tunnel that they did for us and at the end of the tunnel I was surprised that Cole had set up his speakers was playing one of my favorite songs (not planned by any means). I had notified him that we were doing a sparkler event to cap off the night but I had NO idea that he would be outside playing music for us. It was the perfect ending to our wedding day. It was a great mix of comedy, story telling, and athletics/acrobatics. They made great use of the space. The stage, the stands, the ceiling, and under the stage. I love that the Cirque shows use live music. For this show the cello player/singer was the star for me. For a show performed in a circus tent they dive pretty deep. There is lots of symbolism and interpretation. I think I caught like 90% but a program would have been nice. But at $20 a program that's not worth it for me. There's a good balance between big theatrics with lots of props and athleticism vs moments of beautiful simplicity with a piece of fabric blowing in the wind or a performer balancing sticks. Overall would definitely recommend this show!
