I cannot express enough good things about Kathlyn and her team. We have been using Sugars for a…read morecouple of years daily for dog walks and on the weekends for cat sitting. There are so many ways Kathlyn has gone above and beyond. Six months ago, we went out of the country, and had a cat get very sick while we were gone. He had to be euthanized. She took him to the hospital, and stayed with him the whole time. Now she is taking care of our horse too. She only has to go check on her once a week, but she has been going more frequently just because she cares and working with her!! I could go on and on, honestly. With Sugars Pet Sitting, you get more than just a pet service. You are getting a team that will love and care for your animals!! Hands down the best pet sitting company around.

This service is exceptional and an incredible bargain…read more I've browsed yelp for years and only left two reviews, and this is my honorable third! I've never left my cat Archie for a week long trip before, and I was worried about who could watch him. After seeing some reviews, Sugar's looked like a good bet - and... blackjack! Every time Kathlyn came, she sends a journal of what your pet was doing/what she did along with multiple photos. She also noticed I didn't have enough food to refill after the 5th day. When I told her where it was, she came back the next day to check on him (after checking with me) FREE OF CHARGE!! Can't hype Sugar's up enough. I'll be a return customer.

My wife and I found Jill's service on Yelp while planning our wedding. We had begun planning a…read moredestination wedding that would mean we'd be gone 15 days total. I was concerned about boarding my cat because she's about 10 years old and I thought the shock of a new location would cause her extreme mental stress. Thankfully we found Jill. A few weeks before our event, we met in person. Jill came over to meet Lucky, and the two instantly bonded. Lucky jumped onto her lap and started chewing on her hair, then laid down to rumble on her lap. Jill explained how her services work and asked us what Lucky liked to do, where her toys were, where the litter boxes are, where her food and water are, and the cleaning supplies. Jill explained her pricing system (fair) and that she sends updates daily, along with photos, she cleans the litter box, and she would change Lucky's water (Lucky has an automatic dispenser). We signed the paperwork and Jill left. When the day came, Jill sent the most amazing picture of Lucky. As much as I love my cat, in ten years, I've never been able to get a clear, nonblurry photo of her and Jill was able to get it day one. Jill's easy to communicate with (text then email). She's easy to schedule. And she's easy to pay (we use Chase QuickPay). Try to schedule her as soon as you know when you're going because she does charge a little more per day if it's "last minute" (within a week), again, very fair. Overall, my wife and I overwhelmingly recommend her. Since hiring her service for our wedding, we've scheduled Jill for 3 other trips and we will continue to do so in the future!

However Jill did an awesome job at keeping my nerves at bay (sorry for the really long list I left you!!). Communication before and during the time we were away was really good; and I looked forward to my daily updates on how they were doing. Although our cats were struck with a sudden shy streak and would hide from her when she came in; they were eating and drinking normally so they clearly weren't missing us that much! It was also nice to come home to our mail in a nice neat pile and our trash ready to be picked up. We would definitely use Jill again; and now that we have someone we know we can rely on; we will probably travel more often!

Dog House On the Trail - Dog House posts pictures all day of the dogs playing. My golden always seems to be happy as can be in every picture!

Let me start off by saying that our dog is a Velcro pup and does not ever leave our sides so when…read morewe do leave, she becomes depressed. We have only boarded her at CityVet and after that horrible experience, I swore I would never board her again. When we were going out of town for a week and needed to find a new boarding facility, I did plenty of research. Dog House answered my millions of questions, gave me TWO tours (at different hours), was extra friendly to my four-legged child, gave every dog attention, and made me feel 100% secure leaving my pup there. Before you drop off your baby, they have to go through a two hour trial. This made me feel safe because they actually take the time to make sure it's a good fit. And yes, they do turn dogs away. Our dog isn't aggressive but isn't much of a doggie socialite. She likes humans. (we gave up on Dog parks by she just gravitates to all the humans.) So I was worried that she would be shy and scared when I dropped her off. But to our surprise, she was as happy as could be when I came to pick her up. (In case you were wondering, she passed.) When it came to dropping off Collins for boarding, they let me bring her bed and a toy. (Most places don't allow that.) Although you run the risk of the personal belongings coming back completely destroyed, ours came back in the same shape! I separated her food in individual baggies to save an extra $3 a night. When we went to leave her, she must have remembered how much fun she had during her trial because she ran through the gate and didn't even hesitate to say goodbye. (I felt like a mother dropping her child off at kindergarten...) I checked the Facebook page anxiously for pictures of Collins to make sure she was okay. I called Dog House and asked for updates and they always gave me detailed updates of what she was getting into and told me who her "friends" were. Never once did they get annoyed by my paranoia! Now when it came to picking her up, I knew I needed to write this review because not only was my child wagging her tail uncontrollably and excited to see me, but she was excited to hug and see all the staff at Dog House. The staff knew all the dogs names. (They actually knew her name because I forgot to put her tags on her so I know they weren't cheating.) The staff took care of her and were extremely helpful! Collins came back with no (additional) bad habits, still extremely happy and not a single pound lost! No cuts, bites, sicknesses, or fleas! We will definitely be taking her for day play and back for boarding. Besides, seems like she probably likes Dog House on the Trail more than she likes being home now...

Very strange place from the get-go. I definitely understand cage and kennel-free, but to be…read morecompletely divider-free seems to me a bit reckless, especially when the dogs are unattended at night. The dogs being boarded are all put in a room, "Split up by size and temperament," and left there to sleep at night before play time in the backyard during the day. I went to pick up my dog after being boarded for a weekend and was told he was not welcome back because he was "Scarily unpredictable," - a sentiment I could understand for other rescues but have never heard before regarding my own dog who has been boarded many many times and has been around many other dogs. Also a sentiment I would've appreciated to have heard before the day of pick up as I was only a 4 hour drive away in Austin and would have come and picked him up if he was such a menace - a phone call would have worked just fine, I received zero communication all weekend. I would urge potential customers to stop by and check out the facilities before committing here and making sure it's a good fit for you and your dog - it wasn't for mine.

The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive to my puppy, who thoroughly enjoys her time with the staff and the other dogs! They even celebrate birthdays! I really appreciate that they have the dogs on a regimented schedule instead of confined to one playroom room all day. The dogs have personal time, indoor play, and outdoor play time (each with similar sized dogs). For personal time, each dog has a roomy open-air suite with food/water bowls, a bed, and toys (if you opt to pack them in their daycare bag). For flat-faced breeds like mine, they provide slanted bowls. Although there aren't livestream cameras, the team posts photo dumps to the Facebook group every afternoon (see examples)! Also worth noting, the team is quick to flag any upcoming vaccination needs or behavior changes. They keep a very close eye on the dogs. Lastly, the hours they offer are unmatched. Drop-off opens at 7:30am and pick-up closes at 7:45pm. In summary - The attention to detail that the staff has is exemplary, and their patience and love for dogs fosters a tail-wag inducing environment!
