I would actually give this daycare 0 stars if I could! If you want to send your child to a daycare…read morefacility where they are constantly being moved around and the staff changes every month then this is the daycare for you! The place is constantly full of drama and when you're a working parent the last thing you want to do is deal with the staff telling you how to raise YOUR child! They are always looking for something to complain to you about and they are always putting their opinions in where they aren't needed or appreciated! The management is also run by uneducated people who think they know everything! I heard it's the cheapest daycare in that area but honestly for a few extra bucks send your children to a place where you do not have to deal with such problems! They've got poor staff and an owner consumed over money!

It sounds like my child would have a lot of fun here, and they have for four+ years!!! Since 2010 the day care has undergone new ownership. The new owners are a wonderful couple, Chris & Tasha! Some of the teachers do change but for the most part a lot of them are the same sweet, fun & nurturing teachers (who most of which are mothers themselves.)This center has a lot of fun activities they plan for the students throughout the year and it is affordable as well! It's a WIN / WIN!!!! I highly recommend this child care facility!

It's not worth the money. The preschool is not really any better than a daycare. The people there…read moredon't pay attention to your children my kid on many occasions told me she was being hit. How can you not even be aware of this? They hire or train people who are there for credits of part-time pay who don't care. Then some of the more highly paid people really don't care either they're getting payed ridiculous amounts of money to do what a daycare does. They're more interested on how soon. They can get home. These people put the answer to the question on why our education is so bad. Its a scam as far as I'm concerned.

I have never put my children into this center. I would advise you to do the same. I was skeptical…read moreat the beginning when I was briefly considering it, and after reading the poor reviews I decided to find a qualified babysitter instead. I actually took a class on campus with a girl who claimed to "work" there. She was complaining about how hard it was to watch the kids and immediately began blaming the parents for not "disciplining them at all". After reading that they regularly hit the kids, (Which early childhood education class did they take that taught them that that was ever okay?!) it made sense to me why she was complaining. These students are basically children themselves and have no experience, so you get what you pay for. This girl who was just running her mouth, by the way, was unaware that I have children, and I kept it that way. Clearly, they lack the maturity and the patience to care for and watch your children adequately. I would love to see this center employ only knowledgeable adults, not kids who just want easy money or college credit. It's really disappointing that this is all my school had to offer.

My wife found this little preschool about a week-and-a-half before their school year started. Now…read moreexactly how and where she found it I'm not sure, but I'm sure glad she did. This tiny, private, church-sponsored preschool is nothing like what you might expect. We sent our two oldest here, and we plan on sending our two youngest as well. From the outside, it has the appearance of a 19th century one-room school house. But of course that's now what it is on the inside. There is a large activity room when you first enter (the Big Room), but the first floor also has an administrative office as well as two classrooms. The basement has been converted and has a storage area and two additional classrooms as well. And outside behind the school is a nice sized playground area that's perfect for kids of that age. The staff here is amazing. All of the teachers are certified, so they're trained and know what they're doing. They keep up to date on the latest trends and research that takes place in regards to preschool education methods, practices, and philosophies. And they're also just wonderful with the kids. I've heard stories where parents weren't all that pleased with a church-affiliated preschool because the teachers were basically church members either volunteering or helping out. Thankfully this was not the case for us. The education here is first rate and top quality. There are three different choices in regards to class time. Full week (five days), three days, or two days. And of course they're all half days so it's either a morning or afternoon session. There is no all day preschool. There are numerous activities that take place throughout the year that parents can come and enjoy, and there are a number of opportunities where parents can volunteer to help chaperone small little trips that classes take. When our two oldest started kindergarten, their teachers told my wife and I that they were so far ahead of the other students in their respective classes. And as smart as I know my kids to be, I also know that their time at the Village Preschool was a direct result of this as well. It's a wonderful place to send you kids, and if you're looking, I say look no more. Mahalo, and enjoy.

But I digress... The Growing Place has changed our perspective towards child care and early learning development as well as far surpassed our expectations as parents who were apprehensive to keep him in a daycare environment. Clean, secure, organized, bright, cheerful and with a smart layout containing classrooms, a cafeteria, and play area, The Growing Place is aesthetically pleasing for children and parents alike. It feels more like a school and less like a place to drop your kids to hang out while you're at work. I love the cleanliness of the facility. They stress the children should be washing their hands frequently. At his former facility, he was sick ALL THE TIME. He has had one runny nose during his first month at The Growing Place. ONE. Incredible. Potty training is going so smooth and they are helping him learn each day instead of giving him set times to be changed or use the toilet. The pricing is absolutely fair, as well. I'm excited to see how he continues to grow and learn. He's so happy to go to school now and so excited to see me and show me what he's accomplished every day. Instead of running to me in fear at the end of the day, begging to go home, he stays and says goodbye to his friends and teachers and shows me his drawings or crafts he's completed that day. The updates via SchoolVine are an excellent bonus and I feel like they truly pay attention to each child as an individual. Needless to say, we are so happy with The Growing Place!

The facility is clean, and the staff is very good with the kids AND the parents. We were greeted by name as we came in each day - which really made it welcoming. Any issues/special needs were dealt with in a concerned/caring manner. They are organized - my baby had a crib and a cubbie with her name on it, ready to go when we walked in on our first day. I adored the newsletters as well - each month we got an e-mail updating us our on child's class, with pictures of the kids interacting. I also found them one of the more affordable options in the area. The few negatives: they don't have a big play area in the back, and unfortunately they are on a busy street. But, my child was very happy and safe there. The positives far outweigh the negatives. Would re-register my child in a heartbeat if we needed care again.
