We were able to pick out two pieces (a skirt and a top) from Kate Spade at reasonable prices - the top was on sale, which never happens in normal stores! Laura of Pembroke also had Kate Spade jewelry on sale, which I was all around really impressed with because, as I said, Kate Spade rarely goes on sale. Aside from the luxury brands, Laura of Pembroke carries a lot of reasonably priced, unique clothes. The sales associates were friendly and helpful, so I'll definitely make a trip to Laura of Pembroke when I'm back in town!

The issue is that far too much of the furniture looks like it came out of local hotels. Gaudy, Mediterranean style. The demographic they seem to be aiming at is 70 years old and above. I'm 63 and their inventory still reminds me of a trip to grandma's house or the lobby of an assisted living facility. There is nothing remotely modern, tasteful or stylish. I'm sure their buyers know their customer's tastes, but their customer base has to be dying off or aging to a point where they have little need for new furniture. I think Chez Del would be wise to update the styles they offer. In fairness, the staff is professional and friendly but I don't envy them having to move this stuff.

Over the past two years, I've purchased a few fill in pieces for my bedroom, breakfast room, and even an entire living room of furniture at Chez Del's popular summer warehouse event. I've always known exactly what I wanted, having an interior design background myselfl, and been able to make decisions easily. However, it was the purchase of my family room furniture that had me baffeled for the first time. I just couldn't narrow my ideas and decide on the right style and layout. With the help of designer Becky Harrell, my furniture was delivered this week and I am thrilled. Becky worked with me over a year and a half. She was gracious to quote multiple pieces, let me check out umteen samples of fabric and finishes, and never made me feel as undesisive as I knew I was being. She knew I wanted quality and I wanted a great price and so steared me to take advantage of the Chez Del fall upholstery sale. Becky came to the house and measured the room to put it into their design software and show me exactly how the furniture would sit in the room. We thought through all the fabrics and finishes and ultimately decided on a look that fit me, my family and our personality. With tons of family showing up for Christmas, the Chez Del team kept a last minute delivery slot open for me, followed up with manufacturers, and made sure we had furniture for our company. The delivery guys (Keith and Joe) are top notch. I'm a little picky and they took extreme care to cover my floors and carefully placed the furniture; often making slight adjustments to my liking. At installation, Becky informed me that the manufacturer of my sofas had left off a decorative feature I had ordered. Chez Del hired their furniture upholstery person to add the decorative features and handled the issue before I even knew about it. It was done perfectly and without my having to stress about it. That is excellent customer service! Bottom line, the furniture business is a tough one these days as manufacturing has changed a great deal. It's not unusual for the retailer to have to answer to quality issues, delays in shipping expectations, and a whole array of customer satisfaction issues. And, retailers are doing all this at lower margins and more online competetors than ever. Chez Del, their personal touch and expertise, is a gem in this fast changing marketplace. I have been going to estate sales in the NE Ohio area for over 15 years, and this company is one of…read moremy "hidden gems." The owner and her family are awesome. They are always so kind, laid-back, and easy to get along with. Their sales feel more like sales did when I first started going. They are just relaxed and enjoyable. I don't feel like I am being followed from room to room by a sales associate trying to sell me on every item. The owner also has a dry sense of humor, just like me, so I feel very at home with her. She always makes me smile. Another thing I really appreciate is that this company doesn't grossly overprice everything. They actually move the merchandise for their clients and get things sold. I am so tired of going to sales where, on the last day, the house is still FULL of stuff because the estate company priced everything so high that nobody wanted to buy it. Then, in some cases, the company goes back to the family and offers them a lowball amount to haul everything away, only to turn around and sell those same items from their own showroom. I think that's a pretty lousy thing to do to people, especially when many of these families are already trying to navigate probate, get an estate settled, and figure everything out while they are grieving. This company is not one of the shady ones I have come across over the years. They genuinely seem to work to get things sold and get as much as possible for their clients. That goes a long way with me, and I am happy to give them my business.

On top of that, everyone who helped us load our items up were extremely knowledgeable on packing and disassembling certain items (like a clock). We will definitely be on the look out for more of this company's sales. Absolutely loved Doris, Danny, and all the others!! :) Random note, but I was at the sale for quite awhile and all the items, no matter how big or small, were only treated with love and care. If I was ever in a position that I needed to have an estate sale, Doris would be my first call.

He squinted suspiciously at me for a moment, nodded, and contacted Samuel Willhite, owner of Louisville Appliance Repair. I transferred what I could to the garage freezer and went to sleep that night knowing something would be done about my fridge by noon on Saturday. And so it was. Samuel was at our house at 9 AM Saturday morning. By 9:30 he had located the problem and replaced the part. Because of his timely assistance I won't even have to throw out most of my groceries.

I could see if the sink was actually functional but it is strictly decorative... bases from old Singer sewing machines can be picked up @ flea markets starting at $25.00 & a used door @ Habitat for the same.
