Miti is a Polynesian Master Carver, and not only did his story touch me but his work is incredibly beautiful! After following his social media page for a few weeks I reached out to inquire on a few pieces. Not only was he incredibly responsive given the 6 hour time difference, but he was kind enough to give his phone number so that I could call him and he could explain the significance behind each of the pieces I was interested in. He sent them out the next day and they arrived two days earlier than anticipated, and they are even more beautiful in person. Happy to support this family owned business, and will definitely purchase again. Mahalo Miti and your sons for all of your help. I am grateful for you!

When I first came across Tradewinds Ranch, there were a few negative reviews from a few years ago circulating around Yelp as well as a few other wedding venue pages. I was RELIEVED to find that Tradewinds Ranch is under NEW MANAGEMENT & the lady mentioned in all of the reviews is no more! Rest assured, the new owners, Joyce & Dave are absolutely amazing! They understand the stressful process of planning a wedding (or any event, for that matter) & have been wonderful from the moment I met them! I'm a bit of an obsessive planner, & Joyce has been available every step of the way to answer any questions I have. This past weekend, we brought our families along to do a pre-wedding tour of the ranch & it was a HIT! I couldn't help it, I just had to show off! The property is gorgeous & PERFECT for anyone in search of a rustic, country themed venue. Complete with a barn, 3 bedroom "barn-dominium" with a full size bar, as well as a 3-bedroom ranch house, the possibilities are endless. This is definitely a one-of-a-kind venue! There is nothing like it here on Oahu (trust me, I spent months searching). As a woman & a huge country music fan, I have been dreaming about the perfect rustic wedding my entire life. With Tradewinds Ranch, my dreams are coming true! Joyce & Dave, I cannot thank you folks enough for making this a wonderful experience for us & our families! Please stay tuned for pics of our special day!

I booked a kid private party (minimum 6 painters) for my child's birthday and would definitely recommend PFYS to have something fun for the guests to do! she offers bigger parties too! my kid is already thinking of the next painting to choose from Gwenaelle's gallery to paint for another future event! on the day of the event, PFYS was on time (actually early and I felt bad but she was really good about it). and the kids were so excited to paint! she provided everything and made it so stress-free for everyone - a big sheet to lay out for the kids (she will provide table if needed), all the different color paints, plates, brushes, easels, canvases, aprons, little towels to wipe the brushes, and her friendly personality and amazing art skills with guided step by step instructions so everyone could have a relaxing time painting right on the beach with an amazing view. it was such a wonderful experience and the kids were so happy with the outcome of their paintings and best of all got to sign it and take it home with them! check them out at https://paintforyoursoul.com ! you won't be disappointed.

We wanted to put together a somewhat unusual combination at the Polynesian Cultural Center,…read moreincluding the Circle Island Tour, the luau, and a private tour of the islands. We had to call to book because we couldn't add the Circle Island Tour transportation to an online reservation. The Circle Island Tour was super great, but definitely made for an early start to a very long day! If you don't have much time on Oʻahu or don't plan to rent a car, I think this is a great way to see more of the island and visit some beautiful places that you might otherwise miss. You get to sit back and let someone else handle the driving while still seeing quite a bit. We did have some confusion with our private islands tour. The PCC initially put us into a semi private tour by accident, so we had to go back and ask about the private tour we had actually booked. Our guide also started out a little less enthusiastic than some of the other private guides we saw, but she gradually warmed up and got more and more engaging as the afternoon went on. I really liked some of the perks of the private tour. You get first or second row reserved seats for the shows, and your guide takes you around the different areas so you don't have to figure out the schedule or plan everything yourself. You could easily spend multiple days exploring the different areas and activities at the PCC, but we only had an afternoon, so the private tour helped us make the most of the time we had. The luau had a lot of food options, although quite a few of them were too salty for my taste. The virgin Mai Tai served in a pineapple was fun, but I thought it tasted more artificial than some of the fresh pineapple smoothies we've had elsewhere in Hawaiʻi. The taro buns they give you when you first sit down were actually my favorite part of the meal. The luau show itself was nice, but not mind blowing. It was entertaining and gave us a good taste of the Polynesian cultural performances, but it wasn't my favorite luau we've experienced. The entire Luau is much more casual and relaxed than others. One thing to keep in mind is that tickets are not inexpensive. If you want to do several of the experiences, especially the tours, private guide, and luau, you can easily end up spending hundreds of dollars per person. There are a lot of options, but the costs can add up very quickly.
