The meat is never chewy or tough unlike a lot of other chinese restaurants we have tried. The flavours are incredible, vegies are fresh and the staff are friendly. Both come with a bowl of rice and side condiments. Quite liked the spicy soup.. could've been better with more seafood. the short ribs ... meh!! I can do better!! I had to add soya sauce and pepper. Just water with ribs and some berrys. I should've taken the clue left behind by another patron. She walked away without finishing half of her short rib soup!!! I thought she went to get something but never came back. Hmm It's a cheap eat and the student community seem to love it. Scanning around after paying the bill it appears their cooked / hotplate dishes are more popular.

I really like this place. It's quick, delicious, filling and best of all it's cheap. I've been here…read morea few times with friends and I've never been disappointed with a meal. There is large selection of meals available and most recently I had the small roast pork plate. It was just perfection! Well cooked pork with crispy salty crackling, cut into small pieces making it easier to eat sitting on a small bed of bok choy. I almost wish there was slightly less pork bit more veg as the small size was too big for one person. The rice also needed to be ordered separately. Given the price I'm not going to complain and would make this a staple spot when I'm after a decent meal that doesn't break the bank. Highly recommended.

Nothing to flashy with the decor so technically food should be authentic. Service was great. They're very attentive and courteous. The decor was a bit outdated but sufficient. We decided to have yumcha and ordered a variety of my typical yumcha dishes. We had prawn, chives, pork (xiu mai) dumplings, chicken feet and prawn rice noodle rolls. I found the dumplings a bit doughy but the fillings was nice. The chicken feet was a bit dry and the rice noodle rolls lacked flavours. Overall, it was ok but it did lack flavour. It was good for yumcha locally but if I wanted yumcha next time I'll venture out to the city.

It was quite a busy Sunday, we arrived at 1:30 and the place was full. Only 2 tables free. From the time we got there until we left all the tables remained full. You can either order from the full menu or the dim sum menu. Craving lots of things we went for the dim sum. The staff were friendly and attentive the entire time and we're happy for us to call them over 3 or 4 times every time we ordered more food. Our favourite dishes were the Shanghai dumplings - so juicy and flavoursome. The crispy prawn rolls were absolutely amazing also. Other dishes we ordered were: salt and pepper squid, BBQ pork bun, spring rolls and egg custard bun. Delicious! While the food here was not extraordinary it was perfect for what we were craving. The prices ranged between 6.80 to $11.50 for yum cha dishes which were a little on the pricier side given portions of some.

I stopped by for lunch on a weekday and saw that the interior was rather empty in comparison to other neighboring restaurants along the street. Parking, also, was somewhat of a pain - potential street parking, if you are lucky. A vast menu with options such as grilling your own meats, bibimbap, yet not really any tofu soups, sad... Though the menu is extensive, they only offer less than half the menu during lunch hours! So please, do yourself a favor and check with the waitress before you set your beady eyes on that delicious pajeon (pancake) because, alas, it's only available for dinner. I ordered the Stone Bowl Bibimbap with Beef ($14). Portion size was tiny, but the ingredients were excellent. The beef and vegetables were fresh and flavorful. It also came with 2 sauces, the spicy and soy sauce, per your palate's choosing. Also had the Korean Fried Chicken ($16) as an appetizer. Flavors were yum but the breading was a a bit too thick and hard...had to give it a good chew. Overall, meh...can't say I'm impressed.

Not the best I've ever had but certainly enjoyable none the less. It could do with a bit more kick - even with the 'chili' sauce it doesn't offer much of a punch. I like it regardless as a healthy-ish option in the area. The dumplings are amazing. I love them. I might even get some on my way home tonight. hhmmm... I even like the tofu starter and i usually avoid tofu like the plague. Don't travel to Camberwell for it, but visit if you are in the area for sure. The staff are friendly and glasses of (decent) wine are less than a tenner - always a good thing in my book!
