This Korean restaurant is a gem in a corner, it has been here for over 15 years and still shining. One of the best korean restaurants ever in Melbourne, opened by real korean owner and chef. Food is on the top tier, four season pork belly BBQ is just amazing, especially you bite down with the iceberg lettuce, then slurp a mouth full of cold noodle soup, life can't get better from this point, and the delight goes forever until you finish your meal. Oh btw, their fried chicken ribs is also god tier, forget other fried chicken places, this is the only one to go. Been here with multiple friends who used to live in Melbourne, and after they all left I still brings more new friends to enjoy this restaurant. Can't tell much about service anymore since I have been here for too long, the waiters all know me and I don't even have to look at menu or order, they already know what I want. Not sure that I'll ever have the opportunity to return to Melbourne, but if I do, I will try to arrange a dinner here. Food was just perfect and the manager patiently coached me on how to go about eating like a Korean. I had the beef bulgogi and 3--count em--surprisingly delicious glasses of house red (which happened to be Shiraz. (Of course it was! This is Australia!!!)) Local Korean joint that does both al a carte and Korean BBQ. I have been here on numerous occasions over the past couple of years and have never been disappointed. If you are going for dinner you may want to book ahead as this place gets packed up pretty quick. It seems to be run by a family and though some of the prices for the BBQ is on the higher side, the service and portions are reasonable. This place was my first Korean experience, and I was pretty awestruck by the menu, so forgive me if I can't name any specific dishes to recommend. But if I did remember them, I'd be telling you to go and try it yourself, and maybe get two serves of whatever the beef dish that I had was called. Because it was good. The marinade was absolutely delicious, and the beef was beautiful and tender. The staff were friendly and helpful, being very patient with my umm-ing and ahh-ing at the menu while I decided what to have. The place looks pretty busy at dinnertime. I would advise you to book in advance, because it's a pretty popular place. I'll go back for sure. read more

Went again for dinner last night. Always good quality food, good service and reasonably priced. JAP J noodles are the best!

From sizzling beef bulgogi, takoyaki, yakitori, mandu/gyoza and delicious and spicy kimchi, this restaurant does not disappoint. Their menu items have a combination of Korean and Japanese dishes. Everything we tried was so tasty and we have about a dozen other items we've made mental notes for to try next time. The corn tea (oksusu cha, I looked it up!) is amazing! The staff and servers are friendly and provided the little one in our group with ikea children's cutlery and dinnerware. A nice touch. Great little Korean place in Glen Waverly. It's not big so booking or going in early is highly recommended. Most of their dishes are meals, but they also do Korean BBQ. There's not much room so I would highly recommend the dishes which are served on a hotplate anyway. The bulgogi is my personal favorite but most of the other dishes are all equally tasty. Free little side dishes too! Corn tea is not for everyone but a unique experience. Price is not cheap but acceptable for the serving sizes. Do not go for any noodles. My family went there a week ago and ordered 3 different noodles (, , ), and we were so shocked on the taste, any of them are real black noodles, spicy noodle soup, and Udon. The taste and noodle types are definitely not right. We were so pissed off to spend that much money for such bad foods.
