At our realtor's recommendation, we used Living Edge to stage our single family home for sale…read more Overall, it was a slightly surreal and oddly dissatisfying experience, as described below. You can draw your own conclusions Note: When Larisa visited our house to check it out, we told her our target date to list the house was in 27 days. She said she'd get us a quote the next day but we didn't hear back for almost week due to her CRM issues. When we finally got the quote, we exchanged a couple of emails to clarify some line items in the quote. At that point, she cc:ed our realtor to keep him in the loop, which made sense. But then things got weird as Larisa simply stopped communicating directly with us. The day after the receiving the quote and email exchange, we asked what next steps would be in order to lock in a staging date of May 21-22 (based on her telling us that staging would take 2 days). Total silence for 6 days. I followed up with an email on May 12 (getting pretty close to our May 27 target listing date!). Still no response directly from Larisa herself. However she apparently got in touch with our realtor -- and that's how communications went for the rest of the time. We never heard directly from Larisa at all until we received an invoice from her asking to be paid within a week (with spam-like reminders every couple of days) Pros Consultations are free, pricing was fair, and the final result was mostly fine. Cons * No direct communications from Larisa, only via our realtor, esp during the crucial 3 weeks prior to the listing going live * Changed the agreed-upon staging date with minimal notice, caiming a conflict with another staging job. This forced us to change all the other carefully planned items on our schedule (home inspection + sewer scope, carpet cleaning, move-out cleaning, etc) * Took 5 days to complete staging, with no explanation why, much less. apology. Which also forced us to reschedule some previously planned milestones. * Used a dining table with a prominent crack that was clearly visible, with no attempt to mask it with a tablecloth or table runner * Left dirt on the floor and big, ugly hooks in the walls (that we/our realtor had to clean up and remove) after removing items used in staging.

Extremely Disappointed - Unprofessional and Misleading Experience…read more I wish I could give zero stars. I found this company through Yelp and initially connected with Larisa Kocsis about staging my home in Lake Stevens. Their website listed a $3,000 full-house staging package, which I selected. However, Larisa later claimed that price was outdated and requested $3,200 instead. We eventually settled on the original $3,000 due to the small size of my home--which didn't even have a living room. I also specifically asked if the balcony with a lake view could be included, to which she responded, "Thank you, and sounds good." However, on Saturday that was the staging day, My listing agent and I were presented with a contract that excluded the balcony. When I politely asked her to add it as we had discussed, her response was both dismissive and unprofessional: "Correct, you have brought it up, but I have not agreed to including it. As you can see the quote is itemized per room, and you already received a $200 discount. I have been more than reasonable. I am also reaching a new threshold in the number of message exchanges about this job. You can accept the quote or not." I was absolutely shocked by this poor and unprofessional attitude. Not only did she backtrack on what was previously communicated, but her tone was unnecessarily aggressive and disrespectful. I refused to sign the contract as I found Larisa very dishonest and irresponsible with no intention except wasting my time and my listing agents'. This type of customer service is completely unacceptable. I would caution others to get everything in writing beforehand and be prepared for a potentially unpleasant experience.

I always have a pretty good idea of what I like and how I want the space to feel, but the execution part is always tricky for me! That said, I was really hesitant to use a designer for fear of 1: not seeing eye to eye design-wise, and 2: being over-charged for a service that I would be only somewhat satisfied with. Despite my reservations, a friend of mine introduced me to Keri and I instantly knew she would be a great fit. First of all, she is pretty much the nicest human being on the planet. I'm not kidding. And I could tell that she had a great sense of style and design by the way she dressed (is that shallow?). ;) As it turned out, Keri was and has been everything I HOPED a designer would be: very open to hearing my ideas, and yet decisive and clear about what might and might not work in a specific space (I tend to be wishy-washy and can never make up my mind); incredibly creative and resourceful; willing to work with any budget; and just extremely easy to work with. As the mother of a toddler, she also understands the specific needs that we as parents have in terms of furniture that is both aesthetically great AND functional. I am so happy with the work she has done for us thus far.. We have almost our entire house completed, and I have been having a blast every step of the way. There are not many services that I can honestly say this about, but Keri has been worth every penny. Overall, she has saved us hundreds of dollars, not to mention time! We'll continue to use her until our house is finished, and I'll recommend her to all my buddies.

We recently decided that it was finally time to give the restaurant a fresh start and a makeover. Jen was incredible. Her attention to detail, creativity, and final vision are genius. Her knowledge of design and her work ethic are incredible. I've mentioned many times that she reminds me of Joana Gaines from HGTVs fixer upper. Jen is the ultimate problem solver. The hallway to our bathrooms needed lighting and she was able to find an effective and chic fix right away. We had an old bench that my painters suggested throwing away before she stepped in to show them how to spray paint it and refurbish it without spending a lot of their time. She noticed a light fixture in front of the restaurant that I had never noticed and all it needed was a light bulb which transformed the entrance. She free hand painted a mural for us which was amazing. She was able to reorganize seating to allow for more space and more seats. Finally she was able to open up the space and brought in more natural light by choosing different colors/lighting. The space really transformed and we didn't have to do any heavy construction. We planned on doing the restaurant in 3 phases. So far we were able to complete the first phase which has had great feedback from our customers. The restaurant already looks new and I can't wait to see the entire project get finished.

We hired Rebecca in December of 2021 to work on three rooms -- our entryway, living room, and…read moremaster bathroom. Our contract stated that she would provide design and project management services. We also purchased furniture from her for our living room. In total, we paid her approximately $50k for all of these services and products. Throughout the project, Rebecca made us feel as though we were her absolute lowest priority and frequently showed little to no regard for our time. After we paid her for the furniture, Rebecca stopped communicating with us. Her contract states that she will respond to questions and comments within 3 business days, but she frequently ignored our emails and we would typically not hear from her for 4-6 weeks, only after repeated emails from us requesting updates. For 6 months, Rebecca repeatedly told us our technical drawings would be ready within 1 or 2 weeks. Then we would not hear from her for 4-6 weeks, and would often have to email her two or more times before we would even receive a response. In her response, she would simply repeat that we could expect our drawings within 2 weeks. This cycle repeated for 6 months, and we finally received technical drawings in March of 2023, nearly 15 months after we began working with her. The drawings themselves lacked details such as terminations and returns, and even included the wrong colors. These issues were never corrected. Rebecca showed very little regard for our time. She frequently canceled appointments at the last minute without explanation, usually in the middle of the day that she was supposed to meet with us. We generally did not hear from her again for 4-6 weeks at a time, only after repeated emails. After 18 months of this behavior, we finally sought legal counsel. Only after this did Rebecca finally respond to us and deliver our furniture. However, when we had an issue with one of the chairs that required a warranty claim, the same behavior emerged. We would not hear from her for many weeks on end, and appointments were canceled at the last minute, on the day she was supposed to visit. We had a remarkably poor experience with Rebecca. Our project for 3 small rooms should have taken several months, but has instead extended to nearly 2 years without being completed. We would strongly recommend avoiding her services.
