I had such a great experience with Kim Bell. She took her time to understand my pain, created a personalized plan, and guided me through every step. My mobility improved so much thanks to her expertise. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a skilled and caring PT/DPT read more

If you suffer from Vertigo and think that there is nothing you can do, think again. Up until a week ago, I assumed that was the case, but then as luck would have it, I searched "treating Vertigo" on Google and came upon Dr Bell. Lucky for me she was in San Diego. A visit to Dr Kim Bell may be as close to a medical miracle as you can experience. She approaches it very methodically, first diagnosing exactly what type of vertigo you are experiencing. I had a very particular type of BPPV that is relatively rare but she was able to diagnose it within a couple of minutes. My symptoms were severe spinning after I moved my head in certain directions. After diagnosing my specific issue, she moved to treating it. Within 15 minutes (and I am not kidding you, it was that short) she performed a couple of maneuvers that successfully treated my spinning. I was surprised that something that feels so severe could be treated so quickly and effectively without any medicine. I felt like I got my normal life back. I would highly recommend that if you have vertigo, do something about it. You don't have to live with it. Dr Bell has treated thousands of people, she is an expert and can help you too. read more

Kimberly Bell is an expert at helping people solve issue related to BPPV. Basically, as I understand it, it's crystals that get stuck in your ear canals which cause vertigo (generally positional). I am certainly no expert at this, but have dealt with imbalance for over 30 years. Kimberly charged me thousands of dollars to "detect" and "fix" my BPPV. After doing my own research it was clear to me that I do not suffer from BPPV. My primary doctors stated the same. However, she felt they could be wrong and still felt the need to charge me for numerous sessions (not covered by insurance) for a great sum of money. After discovering her diagnosis was incorrect, she offered no refund or discount. I myself was a contractor for many years as a software engineer. If I did not complete a job or did not fix a problem, I would not charge. But that is because I have integrity and am a professional. Personally, the money part was not that important to me. What is though is selling people false hope based on a faulty diagnosis, and when that diagnosis is incorrect, offering no discount or refund. If you suffer from positional vertigo / possibly BPPV, I suggest you start with your primary doctor and ask for physical therapy to treat it using Epley (or similar) maneuvers. Depending on your insurance there may be no cost to this help. read more

My last review of the year had to include Kim Bell! Early in 2022, I had to find help and was becoming desperate for relief of Vertigo symptoms following a head injury back in 2020. The symptoms were life altering with no easy way to do basic day-to-day tasks. Even doing the research to find Kim Bell hurt my head - lol! Google saved the day again as I wanted to keep it local and fortunately Kim Bell is not only local, she is an expert in serving those with Vertigo and dizziness symptoms. What I found so informative was watching Kim's conference video she did on Vertigo through UCSD Medical a few years back. I learned she too experienced Vertigo so severe she ultimately made it her life goal to help others that experience this condition. After reaching out to Kim via her website, which was on a Sunday, I received a surprising response within only a couple hours!!! She provided comforting advice that left me feeling relieved to know I was not alone in this agonizing ordeal. She asked me many questions (all through email) to help navigate a solution. Unfortunately, I ended up not seeing Kim and instead took her advice to first see her recommended Neurologist - Dr. Purcell! Dr. Purcell was engaged during my first visit to understanding the back story and reviewing the MRI I had done back in 2020, a few days following the head injury! Purcell along with his Physician Assistants were amazing (a bit rushed) but it covered all the testing they do there in the office - Epley Chair among others. The Epley Chair did not induce Vertigo so they had me go off site for a comprehensive hearing test and found the results to be great - no hearing or vision issues, just Vertigo that continued to improve after the first visit. However, I was also going through Menopause at the same time and had began my first Hormone therapy about 1 month prior to seeing Purcell, and so I clearly noticed the Hormone Therapy helped my head condition by a whopping 80%! The next visit with Dr. Purcell was to arrange Physical Therapy as he discovered that Vertigo may not be the problem, rather a Vestibular issue. I feel unbalanced while walking and exercise so the Physical Therapy has helped me to re-train my brain and become more confident with every move. As of the writing of this review, I feel great due to Hormone Therapy and doing all I can to improve my health with healthy food, sleep, exercise, with about 20% of issues that I'm hopeful will disappear in time! Thank you Kim for your amazing dedication to caring for those experiencing Vertigo or dizziness! Your amazing spirit and expertise are highly appreciated! Happy New Year! read more

I have benefited immensely from Dr. Kim Bell and count her among my blessings in my journey to feeling normal again. She went up and beyond to ensure that I was cared for. In addition to benefiting from her when I was going through my health challenges, she also connected me to a community of other professionals that have also been equally amazing (neurologist, manual physical therapist). Sometimes it's not just one thing that causes dizziness...and she is connected to a community of professionals when other assistance is required, and this has been invaluable as well. While her knowledge and expertise is why I initially sought her out, it was her compassion and kindness that I will never forget. She was there for me at very challenging time, and because of her, I got on the other side and back to being myself a quickly. I continue to learn from her and stay on track by reading her blog posts and following her informative articles on social media. I'm a fan and would highly recommend anyone who is suffering from vertigo or dizziness to do yourself a favor and go meet this delightful human being who can help! read more

My experience with Dr Kim was fantastic! She is very thorough and willing to answer questions, so I never felt like she left me hanging. What sets her apart is when I explained my symptoms, what I was feeling, etc. , she knew exactly how it felt because this is something she experienced in life. Vertigo isn't something she simply just read about in a book. She went through it herself. I was experiencing bad vertigo for the first time in my life and suffered it out for about a month until I decided to go and see Kim- I'm so glad I did! Don't waste your time- there will be major progress made in one (or two!) appointments with Dr. Kim Bell! read more

Dr. Bell is phenomenal. She is friendly, calm, compassionate, methodical and incredibly knowledgeable. Her initial office visit and examination was the most-detailed medical experience I've ever had. She didn't PRETEND to listen. She ACTIVELY listened, asked questions and took detailed notes. She then came up with a detailed plan to help me get better quickly. In addition, she provided me with a wealth of valuable information and resources to understand my issue and help me stay healthy. Best of all, she resolved my vertigo issue right before I was going to be out of the country for three weeks. Without her, my vacation would have been incredibly unpleasant. I highly recommend her. read more

I found Kim through Yelp a few months ago. She had so many positive reviews that I decided to reach out to her after experiencing vertigo and dizziness. I emailed her when I felt I couldn't take it anymore. She responded immediately and made me feel like I was her most important client. When we finally met, she did the most thorough consultation I have ever experienced from any medical professional. She actually cared and made it her main objective to figure out my issues. I only had to see her a few times before I started to feel great. I brought my wife along and she also educated my wife on maneuvers and how she could help me at home. I can not say enough great things about her. Even though it has been a few months since I've last seen her. She still stays in contact and sends me updated information. You need to reach out to her and see her because she is that amazing. Thank you, Kim. read more

Dr. Bell is one of the most caring healthcare professionals my wife and I have ever experienced in eight decades of living - quite probably the MOST caring. Judi came to her after receiving less than-effective treatment for BPPV and she could not have been healed without Kim's care. She is meticulous in examining her patients and spends whatever time is needed to understand the whole health story behind her patient's illnesses. She has great resources beyond her personal care and willingly shares them. In sum, she is as good as it gets in helping patients sheal from BPPV and other balance disorders. read more

I went to the ER by ambulance with extreme Vertigo, super scary by the way. the only thing they did for me was give me medication and some light exercises that didn't do a thing, got sent home same day. Went on line and found Dr Kim Bell, she's incredible! From the moment I called, she returned my call with in minutes, she showed that she truly cared. All it took was a few sessions and she was able to take care of my complex case of Vertigo with real treatment (no drugs) and a real cure!! She is kind, caring and VERY knowledgeable. I highly recommend DR Bell to anyone with even a mild case of Vertigo. CALL HER:) read more

Kim is amazing. She is so thorough and has the warmest personality. She was able to cure the vertigo that I struggled with for over 8 years and also referred me to two other specialists for help with some other problems I was experiencing from a concussion. She is so supportive and knowledgeable I highly recommend her. She offers a free 15 min consultation to assess if she feels she can help you or not. No one does that. That alone shows her integrity as a medical professional. read more

We've come to not expect people to go above and beyond these days, but Dr. Kim Bell does that and more. She is, hands-down, one of the most compassionate, empathetic, and caring professionals I've encountered in years. She was extraordinarily helpful when my mother suffered the sudden onset of vertigo recently, and quickly referred me to a plethora of like-minded (i.e, expert, compassionate, empathetic and caring professionals) for help in areas in which she doesn't practice. Her expertise, professional connections, and professionalism are truly extraordinary. I'd recommend Dr. Kim Bell without hesitation. read more

If you suffer from BPPV I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend Dr Bell. I speak from a long and tortured 35+ year journey with a multitude of BPPV episodes. After seeing numerous specialists ranging from neurologists, ENTs, vestibular therapists and GPs, the answer was always the same. "You are one of the rare people who is affected in both ears and several canals so this makes it nearly impossible to treat effectively." In short, I felt like they all gave up on me. Dr Bell proved all these practitioners wrong. I am free from vertigo for the first time in 35+ years after Dr Bell's treatment. She is an expert in the true sense of the word. In addition to her dedication to improving the lives of her patients, Dr Bell is compassionate and a wonderful human being. She knows how to listen, truly listen and formulate a treatment plan that is specific for each patient. My treatment with Dr Bell has been truly life changing! read more

My chiropractor recommended me to Kim last year in August and I'm so grateful he did. I had two appointments with Kim and she got my vertigo to disappear for more than 6 months. It started lightly acting up again around March so I called Kim and set up a few more appointments. She is just amazing! She is so patient and so caring. She understands what her patients go through because she has experienced it, too. Every time Kim is helping me I feel so blessed to be in her hands. I couldn't have asked for better care and will continue seeing Kim in the future if vertigo pops up again. Thank you, Kim, for all your help and kindness! read more

Kim Bell's practice is Amazing for dizziness and vertigo. They specialize in difficult cases. I had bouts of vertigo for two days straight. Turning green and unable to hold my food down. So terrible, I had no idea what to do or where to go until I stumbled across this specialty team. Her team found out that I had my head tilted in a bad position during a concert and the vibrations rattled my inner ear crystals out of place. They put them all back in place within a couple of hours and I was on stable ground once again! Simply a Godsend! A Priceless, Quality speciality Service. Truly a practice that really takes their time and cares for their patients. Thanks Kim Bell PT!! read more

After a month and a half of suffering from the spins every time I would bend over, lay down, turn my head or roll over in bed, I finally started calling around to see who could help me. I'm 35 years old and was starting to worry that something was seriously wrong because my symptoms were slowly getting worse. But I don't have health insurance and for awhile, I thought that maybe I was just imagining it. However, I started to wake up nauseated and couldn't join my friends in basic activities like yoga or dance because I was afraid of getting sick. At that point, I had tried chiropractic care, diet elimination, hydrating, stress relief...you name it!! I had even tried some Epley Maneuvers that I found on YouTube by myself. Nothing worked. Until I found Kim. For starters, on the first phone call, I felt that Kim had a lot of experience, truly cared and knew what she was talking about. She answered all of my questions thoroughly and was super patient. She was also able to come to my home the very next day. I especially liked that Kim was professional and warm. She just understood what I was going through. AND she explained everything that she was doing, which made me feel comfortable. She was at my home for maybe a couple hours, and two hours after she left, I suddenly realized I wasn't experiencing vertigo anymore. I couldn't believe it only took ONE treatment!! Fast forward two weeks and I'm still back to normal. For anyone experiencing vertigo, call this woman immediately! SO worth it! I finally have my normal life back. read more

I have no words. Dr. Bell came and in ONE VISIT fixed my vertigo. I hadn't been able to drive for a month or do any of my activities... even simple daily living skills were affected. I was miserable. Kim came to my home, the appointment was with a day or two of my call, and she was compassionate, thorough and kind. She explained everything and when she left, I had instructions of what to do if the vertigo returned (call her asap!). So far, so good. I wish every PT knew her secrets; there would be a lot less vertigo happening! Thanks Dr. Bell!! read more

Seven years ago my husband developed a life altering infection, vestibular neuritis, which destroyed the follicles in his inner ear and left him with profound dizziness when walking. We made an appointment to see the dizzy guru at UCLA Medical Center who told us that this was a permanent condition and could not be treated. Recently we heard about Dr. Bell and in four treatments, 80% of my husband's dizziness has disappeared. He is ecstatic! Dr. Bell is kind, professional, and highly skilled. The fact that for years she herself wrestled with profound dizziness gives her an extraordinary dedication to her patients' well being and an innate understanding of their challenges. I recommend her without qualification. Carole W. read more

Kim was a God send to me. I was suffering was terrible vertigo. She came to my home and did multiple treatments on me. She understands how hard it is to suffer from vertigo because she has had it to. Dr. Bell is the greatest! My mother, age 45, had been suffering from vertigo for a grueling two years. Her once active lifestyle began to wither away due to dizziness and constant nausea. It seemed like a never ending battle with every doctor, as they would prescribe the same medications that just made the symptoms worse. I met Dr. Bell one day because she overheard me talking about my mom's issues. She was extra sweet and gave me advice on how to treat the vertigo without medicine. I was skeptical at first, but now I can't stop raving about her to everyone I meet. Most of this information about treating vertigo is already on her website so I would definitely recommend looking into that right away. Dr. Bell is very passionate about treating and more importantly educating her patients about vertigo and it's easily treatable state. A million thanks to Dr. Bell for all her help! read more

Kim helped me through a very scary time. I went to 11 doctors over the course of 4 weeks to try to figure out why I was getting constant dizziness and nausea. Within a few minutes of speaking to her she was able to rule out causes that other doctors have suggested and diagnose me properly. She was able to get me the help I needed immediately to finally get my life back. Kim really knows what she is talking about and truly wants to connect with and help her patients. I highly recommend Dr. Kim Bell. Recently I had a very severe vestibular incident where I could not move from back back. Literally crawling to the bathroom was a challenge. She returned my call very quickly, even gave me ideas over the phone on how to find some relief prior to her coming to the house. Her evaluation was very thorough, and I felt very taken care of in a vulnerable position. Following her first treatment I was able to resume work the following day. She continued to follow up and provide support until I was fully healed. I'm forever grateful! read more

Dr. Kim Bell's services was a complete miracle for my husband! He is an engineer for the fire department and had a sudden onset of vertigo which meant he could barely function let alone go to work and driver a fire truck. The day I called I was contacted by Janet within hours of leaving a message and she offered to come to the house that very evening. I was very impressed with the prompt response but even more impressed with her understanding of the panic my husband was feeling and gave us the hope that we needed. Janet did a number of stability and visual tests which was giving her information on what was the best treatment to hopefully cure his vertigo. By the end of the visit she had done just that!!!! She was so kind and simply amazing with the treatment that she offered and was so reassuring through the whole process. I don't know what we would have done without Janet and we are so very thankful for her skill set and compassion. read more
