The Best Vietnamese in Paris!
This is one of the two best higher end vietnamese restaurants in Paris, the second being Tan Dinh. This husband and wife owned resto has Kim Anh in the dining room, while his wife runs the kitchen. The food is simply magnificent, a beautiful array of traditional vietnamese with a slight french influence. The staff is very friendly and informative, able to answer any questions you have concerning the menu in english, french, viet, chinese, etc. Having dined here 30 or more times in the past few years, we have tried everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. Highlights include: entree of beef with salad in citrus marinade, the traditional Pho soup is the best I have ever tasted (and I've tasted hundreds) and the curried gambas in saffron rice is a must order. The vietnamese fondue is delicious. Also try the kim anh rolls, the giant gambas with carmalized onions, and the steamed dumplings. The set menu features almost all of the best dishes, which is a pleasant surprise, at a very reasonable 30 euro, if I recall. Dinner for 2, 3 courses, with aperitif, wine and coffee runs around 120 euro depending on the wine. The cellar is not comparable to Tan Dinh. You will not be disappointed by the food, the service, or the setting. Reservations recommended, but not always required during the week. The restaurant is a bit out of the way, located on emile zola, but it's worth the journey to experience this oasis of fine vietnamese cuisine. read more
