Succulent chocolates and many ice cream flavors. I had a childhood favorite peach ice cream and it was like a bite of summer. The candies are amazing too. read more

Meh. Ice cream is boat. Pumped full of air. Needs more creaminess for a premium price

Loved this place! We stopped by while on an outing to the outlet mall since it was so hot outside, and it was the perfect break from the heat. I got the peach ice cream, and absolutely loved it! One member of our party was allergic to dairy, and he was thrilled that there were non dairy options, and the best of both worlds was the kooler, that combined both the lemon and raspberry sorbets. He absolutely loved it and highly recommended we all try one. It was a little pricy for quantity, but the quality was great! read more

Was hopeful to stop here for some ice cream. They were closed when yelp said they were opened. Disappointing. Maybe next time. read more

Terrible service. They close whenever they feel like it. Signs say 7pm. This week I came at 6:45 and they were closed. Last week I came 6:50 and they shut the lights off while there were still customers in the store and literally locked the door in my face. Very unprofessional. read more

Went here excited with my family to get some dessert. We arrived at 7:30 and the doors were locked. We knocked on the door and the workers were inside cleaning up and refused to look at us at the door. A bunch of other customers also waiting outside. Kilwin's truly hosted the best Santa! He had all the bells and whistles. He was very personable with each of my children. He asked my son to keep his list. He even spoke to my teenage as if she believed. We visited the store after we saw Santa. Their caramels are AWESOME. My children loved the ice cream and fudge as well. The owner was very sweet. I would definitely visit again and they truly saved us with finding a good Santa. read more

If you have a sweet tooth, this place is for you. They have delicious chocolates, caramel corn, and ice cream.Today, we had the chocolate toasted coconut and the marshmallow Smore's ice cream. Killer! You have to try the cashew brittle. Delicious. My favorite chocolates are the milk and dark covered grahams, the maple creams, and the raspberry creams. They also have wicked caramel apples. Located at the Tanger 2 outlets. The ice cream is very good. Not super sweet but very good taste. The Traverse City cherry has lots of cherry bits. We got an ice cream cake from them also. Cookies and cream flavor. Also very good, I like it when there is both ice cream and real cake in the ice cream cake and not just layers of ice cream. Staff was friendly. They appear to be open full hours, unlike many stores at the outlets which are still on abbreviated hours. read more

Yelp said close at 9 website said 8. Just went at 8:50 doors locked two employees inside ignoring.

Buyer beware: This Kilwin's location could be a hazard to your health. On Tuesday while shopping at the outlet stores, we stopped in for some ice cream and fudge. When we noticed that a young employee was not wearing a mask, we asked him to wear a mask while handling our food. He refused to wear a mask, saying he was not obliged by South Carolina law. While Kilwin's Corporate website claims they care about the health and safety of customers and staff, proprietor Jake Higgins responded to my complaint by referring to COVID-19 concerns as a matter of "opinion." Here's some of his email: "This is a terrible way to address your anger with goverment [sic] at a family business where we believe everyone's safety and liberty are equally important.  An apology is not in order as well as your complaint is an opinion and not a violation of any protocols or laws. My staff have the freedom of choice to wear a mask if they want to or if their parents require them as the lawful mandates were completely rescinded by our State and County governments." We all know that COVID-19 is a risk to health and safety, especially in hard-hit states like South Carolina. According to the CDC, less than 1/3 of residents in this county are vaccinated, so it's essential we maintain precautions to prevent the spread of the virus. Under S.C. law, Mr. Higgins has every right to require his employees to wear masks. He has a responsibility to contribute to public health in his store, and he is failing to do so. As I said, buyer beware! read more

Subpar. Nothing to rave about. I liked the location in jersey better. Place is just ok. Not many choices flavor wise.

Kilwins Chocolates & Ice Cream at Tanger Outlets in Bluffton is a great place to go for all things quality sweets in one location. I really like the location and the smell of everything that is freshly made. The staff here is very friendly and makes sure that you get everything you want. Candy makers were friendly. Don't think Cashier was happy about being at work. Butter pecan ice cream was average. Ordered 2 cashew caramel chocolates and 2 pecan caramel chocolates. Very good. They look alike and the cashier put them all in the bag together so we couldn't tell them apart until we broke them open. This could be corrected by putting them in separate wrapping inside one bag. Why does the customer need to suggest this? read more

Their salted caramel ice cream is the best and most popular item however when I tried it I didn't really care for it. It was good but I think I've had better. We just got ice cream and I got myself a salted chocolate pretzel. The guy working here was so nice and let me have multiple samples of the ice cream. Ice cream flavors were good, they also have a nice counter filled with fudge, chocolates and all sorts of yummy things. Prices were okay but service was good. The guy helping us was really nice. The 2 other girls who were also behind the counter should have asked me for assistance but they just stared at me and were too busy talking amongst themselves. I would have bought more chocolate if they would have taken the time to help me. Overall good spot to just chill out and have some ice cream. read more

Absolutely love love love Kilwins. We ate this with our kids several times while in Hilton Head. They make their very own waffle cones. Also, a couple times they had an employee entertaining the long lines outside with magic. Highly recommend! read more

I seriously don't know how I got ice cream into me after all of those crab legs but I DID. A mom and pop looking joint with a great selection of ice cream, fudge, cookies, and candy. I got my favorite 2 scoops of cookies and cream on a waffle cone ahh good stuff. I guess on certain days you can actually watch them make the fudge which is kind of cool. It was a cool treat to end a very hot day. read more

They close at 8, not 9- and the kids working there locked the doors while people were still in the store.

Big selection of ice cream - coffee ice cream was delicious, rich & creamy. Bonus having chocolate sprinkles available. Friendly staff. Cashew brittle & dark chocolate covered graham crackers were delicious. Fudge & some other confections have trace amounts of peanuts, so inquire if you have or you're buying for someone with an allergy. read more

Bought some fudge had a bite - pulled back the paper further to find a CURLY BLACK hair (see photo). Complained to Kilwins and was contacted by the rude female manager there.......4 days later! I was told I had to bring the slice back in to get a refund! Now why in the world would I keep a hairy piece of fudge for that long? Also, why do I need to inconvenience myself and go down there? I told her I have a picture of the fudge but I am not going down there for a little refund. There was NO APOLOGY from her either. Bad customer service and obviously the place is unsanitary - so gross! Oh and for all you people that think this is a "mom & pop" shop it's NOT - Kilwin's is a large chain and this store is just another franchise. read more

On hot summer days, we would cool down by swinging by Tanger Outlet which is where this little gem is located. I also visit the Kilwins in the area that I live in now, however not as often as it is father away. My favorite ice cream flavor is pistachio and butter pecan. They have quite a few options for flavors and are happy to allow you to sample them all. I would order the waffle bowl with two scoops, add hot chocolate syrup and caramel, top with pecans, and walnuts and top with a cherry. I went to the Bluffton location that they knew me by name and knew my order without me having to tell them. The employees were all very friendly. read more

This is the most expensive ice cream shop I've ever been to. We got 3 large dishes of ice cream to take home. No toppings or anything just ice cream our bill was $36.22!!!!! They charge $7.19 for a double scoop, then when you ask for third scoop they charged an additional $3.99 each scoop. Their ice cream is good, but I can buy ice cream anywhere else for way less and taste just as good. #inshock read more

We stopped in this place during our Christmas trip on a recommendation from townies and we are glad that we did. We got from what we understand are their two most popular home made flavor ice creams in a waffle cone. I got the sea salt caramel and my wife got the toasted coconut. May be the best sea salt caramel I have ever had and we take ice cream very seriously where I am from. Wife says hers was amazing as well. The three gentleman that were running the place could not have been any more pleasant, professional or happy about what they were doing. Great atmosphere, price, employees and ice cream. Did I mention it is home made. One of the guys even brought some water to the dog that was part of our party outside. Cannot wait until our next visit to this part of the country. We will be back to this sweet shop for sure. read more

Kilwins Ice cream is about as bad as it gets for what they call ice cream. There's so much guar gum and other fillers that it's a crime to call it ice cream. It's flat and flavorless and sticky. It won't even melt. I've had other so called ice cream from other places that are about the same.Cold Stone being one that comes to mind. Not to mention that they charge almost ten dollars for two scoops of sticky goo. I have to say anyone that thinks this stuff is good ice cream hasn't ever had real ice cream that's creamy and will begin to melt before you can pay for it. read more

Love the ic cream but was disappointed with the lack COVID precautions. We had been there a month ago and only 3 customers at time were allowed in store. I respect that as the store is small. Today the store had no restrictions, I went in because at that point I was the 3rd customer, before I got to order there were two groups packing in behind me. Not enough room to social distance. Won't be back for awhile! My husband walked out! read more

The ice cream was good and it's homemade, but a bit expensive. (Around $8 for two ice creams) Tried to Pistachio & Salted Caramel which was good. The service was ok. One lady wasn't too friendly. A customer told me that I can sample all the flavors and the lady worker said we only give 3 free samples then we're going to charge. I know she was half joking as her tone wasn't too friendly. The shop smells nice though. read more
