So Waynesburg has a new brunch spot, and it is quite good. My buddy and I both had Ruben sandwiches, which were crispy and delicious. I would have preferred a bit more meat on mine, but it was still a solid Ruben. ~ We were driving on I-79 around lunch time, and we were getting a little hungry, so I fired up the Yelp App., and lo and behold, we found this little out-of-the-way gem. It wasn't too far off the interstate in the town of Waynesburg, down a little street in a residential neighborhood. Without Yelp, I would have never found this place on my own. Cute little shop that sells food, drinks, desserts, and . . . pottery (Hence the name, "Kiln to Table"). We were happy to see they had lots of Gluten-Free options. We met a local in line, and he recommended both the Reuben and BLT, so that's what we had for lunch. I had the BLT (I liked that it was served on Sourdough with a Pesto Aioli), and my wife had the Reuben on G-F Bread. The staff was very kind and courteous. We both enjoyed our food (and both sandwiches came with potato chips and a pickle). One thing that we would have liked to have seen was that instead of a plastic plate, it would have been nice to have a ceramic plate that was made here in the kiln. I love this place so much! I have to stop anytime I'm in the Waynesburg area or passing through on i79. I found this place on google one day when I was searching for lunch after a work meeting in Mount Morris. Kiln to Table is located very close to the central Waynesburg area and the college, and has some of the best cafe food ever! The salads are chock full of fresh veggies and protein. Their salad dressings all taste homemade and are the bomb! The best thing ive ever had here is the turkey bacon jam sandwich. Y'all. This is the final boss of turkey sandwiches. I cant even put into words how amazing it is- you just need to try it! It has thick cut turkey, awesome bacon, and a strawberry bacon jam. Sandwiches come with house made chips. I always get a side of ranch and pesto mayo for dipping! They also have some baked goods as well; I've had the nutter butters as well which are great! This is truly a hidden gem. There isn't a ton of seating, but they do have outdoor seating options. Staff is so friendly. This is such a spectacular lunch spot!!!! read more

We had amazing sandwiches (BLT and a turkey and bacon sandwich with pepper jam) that came out to our table very quickly. We sat at a shaded (trees and umbrella) picnic table on an extremely hot day and all of us, including our 13-year-old lab mix, were very comfortable. The servers were incredibly friendly. The restaurant has a tiny coin-operated merry-go-round for kids, too! We will be back next time we are in the area. read more

Stopped here while out and about. The parking situation is interesting. Their is on street parking and a lot with a few spots located across the street past the outside picnic tables. Their is outside seating on the front porch area. The right side is the entrance. Opening the door their is a small room with pottery and other merchandise. Walking forward is a case for the sweets, which looked amazing with Frankenstein rice crispy treats. I ordered an hot almond milk cappuccino. Loved the coffee house smell. The list of sandwiches looked delicious. My cappuccino was hot and took a few minutes to cool down. It was very smooth and warmed my soul. I would stop here again. Doesn't look like much upon arrival but once here you're in a different world. It's calm, collected and the atmosphere makes you feel like you're meant to be here. The menu is a bit small but boats some incredible options to choose from. You can't have a wrong decision here. Not only are there sandwiches they also have bakery items. I had the Ruben sandwich and wow it was phenomenal, packed with flavor, volume and so filling. My wife had the chicken sandwich that has a special sauce (I won't spoil it ) and I honestly wish I could of ate both. The salads have fresh vegetables and chicken. I've heard good things and always been interested in this place and finally took the time to visit. Just a short walk from the Main Street in Waynesburg. The building itself is just a little place, but it's got so much good energy. The quaint and cute and comfortable with plenty of outdoor seating including a deck area. The staff are kind and happy to assist, offering their recommendations and being sure to be clear. Our wait time for our order was MAYBE 5 minutes? Not sure if this is pretty standard as the location had multiple guests at the time of our visit, but regardless it was very quick. The food was exactly what we ordered, hot, quick, and delicious. I'm a big guy and normally eat pretty hefty portions for meals but one order of the breakfast sandwich and a drink was plenty! (I didn't have any left overs but my friend took a to-go box for his French toast for what he had left). Apparently they do breakfast all day on Saturday which is PERFECT for a breakfast lover as myself. I absolutely will be visit again. I had work in Waynesburg this morning. I wanted breakfast before riding home. I thought Sheet, but decided to check Yelp. I'm so glad I did. I had the South Side. 2 eggs over easy cooled perfectly. Delicious rye toast. Interesting and tasty sausage patty. Perfectly cooked and seasoned home fries. The cappuccino was aces as well. Looking at the people next to me enjoy their French toast means I'm coming back for that. On the right day, I'm going to drive the 45 minutes and bring the family. So truly delicious. read more

Winner! This is a great little place with excellent food, great coffee and a pleasant atmosphere. When I come to Waynesburg I am continually disappointed by food choices - no longer will this be the case. I had a breakfast sandwich - great bread from the strip, perfectly fried egg, nice melty cheeses and crispy crunchy bacon. A perfect side of pan fried potato's with peppers and onions. All of the ingredients were fresh, not frozen and no processed junk. Coffee is roasted locally and you could buy a mug thrown by the resident "potter" who is also the chef!. There is a bakery case containing locally baked goods. Yummy. Oh - by the way - there was strawberry jam on the sandwich (nice touch). Best Reuben sandwich I've had in years! Even compared to some NY/NJ delis I've been to. Moist, lean, flavorful, house made corned beef (slow roasted overnight according to the chef/owner I spoke to!), primo sauerkraut, melted Swiss cheese on a thick, crispy grilled marble rye bread with sweet, creamy thousand island dressing to bring it all together. It comes with a tangy dill pickle and plenty of kettle chips. So amazing!! I started with a delicious clam chowder served in one of their hand made large ceramic cup/bowls (I want a few of those for my house!). It was a little light on the cream for me (I like thicker chowder) but the clams were perfectly cooked - and notably high quality - with lovely skin on potato chunks, herbs, cream, etc. So tasty! But don't let that stop you, it is a gem of a place with delicious lattes and gourmet quality food and sweet treats. Couldn't wait to try this place and was so happy when I finally did! I'm a second degree nursing student and LOVE finding spots like this in small towns! My undergrad years were spent in Indiana, PA and the small town feel is like no other. Quaint, quiet, and most of all delicious! I have to be honest, I wasn't sure where my navigation was taking me off campus but it was a pleasant surprise. The workers were all super friendly. I grabbed a menu as it was still breakfast and a few minutes until lunch hour. While I waited for the breakfast menu to change to lunch, I got an absolutely delicious snickerdoodle coffee with butter pecan syrup as recommended by the staff. It was just what I was looking for even more so than the cappuccino I originally had ordered. Once 11am came around, it seemed as if the customers were flocking in!! I was highly anticipating my lunch that I was already debated for awhile what to order, because there were so many irresistible options! Not before long I realized this line was not going to slow down so I hopped in line and was nothing short of satisfied with the garden salad with grilled chicken and housemate balsamic. This place is very understated, but the staff was very friendly and the food was fresh and generous and fairly priced ( larger portions at Panera prices).
