They make sub-type sandwiches to order, have fresh donuts (can even buy just one!), and hard scoop ice cream. Outside of the store are sheds, outdoor furniture and windchimes for sale. The employees are kind and helpful.

Worst customer service ever! A very select one or two employees that actually care about their job…read moreand the daily customers. What makes it irritating and very frustrating is it's the owner's that have the constant rude and totally inappropriate attitudes. I wouldn't write this review If I wasn't in there and experienced it under a dozen times. Not to mention personally knowing the hard workers that worked there 20 years+ (before the original owner's sold it) and was forced to quit due to Charma Taylor lowering and lowering their hours taking away the job titles and positions that resulted in over a decade of experience and accomplishments. As a former worker of hers I can say from experience she put down and belittled every single one of us. Miss Taylor sadly runs and works at 2 of the locations and manages to ruin the vibes and all that the store is supposed to be about. This lady will not only make you feel like you're wasting you're time due to the lack of knowledge and care she has for what you came in for but most importantly you're an inconvenience to her and you know it and can feel it. She would totally rather be doing something better with her time and she's better than the store and all that's around her. No customer service experience what's so ever, it's so irritating! This store used to be a Ma & Pal store with such loving, kind and family oriented people and now it's sadly been taken over by people who are only doing it for the money. A warm welcoming environment has now a cold bitter uninviting place that I and many other people in this town will never return too. Not to mention the Slim Jim's I purchased from there were over 9 months old and I wasn't even granted a refund or given an apology!

They've since upgraded the quality of the snacks they sell (think: Poppi fridge, non-dairy milks, and bougie popcorn). Try the (in)famous Market Dog. The store is clean but it has that old time feeling in it. It is not the sanitized whole foods leveled boring or the above average mediocrity of giant eagle back home. I enjoyed this trip here when visiting Mohican wilderness. I have NOT been in there early enough for the doughnuts but based on other reviews I will try them tomorrow and update the review. Why 4 stars? We came on a weekend and the prepared food section was I feel a missed opportunity. There was very little to be had. THAT is really what we have come to expect from small town IGA style stores. So we got staples here and went to East of Chicago which was an amazing pizza.
