The walking trails are kept in good condition. The property is clean. The residents of Sudbury are a tidy bunch and the country of Canada is Green in general. Every other corner has 3 trash bins for recycling. On one end of the park there are kayaks and on the other is Science North. In the middle you'll find an amphitheater. In a space that also holds festivals. And carnivals. Don't feel like walking? Or kayaking? Just sit and watch the people. They'll be sunbathing, playing, studying. Sailboating. Running walking smooching. Or enjoying a snack from the snack stand.

I was truly amazed at this main dish; the beef was so flavourful and tender! Espresso Bonet; bittersweet chocolate, espresso, cream, and seasonal berries. Wow, what a way to finish a fantastic meal experience! Bonus!! I received a tour of the wine cellar.

Someone recommended a restaurant in this town for fish and chips, but it was already closed for the season so we stumbled upon this place across the street. It's a very laid back family style restaurant (and lodging) and it was cute to see the waitress addressing us as "yous" i.e. the plural of "you". I knew at that point that this place would serve good food. Their menu is quite simple - fried this and fried that - and I asked if they could make fish sans the mandatory thick greasy batter. Ofcourse, said the waitress, and she suggested a fish burger which would have fresh white fish caught earlier that day. Let's do that, we said, and sure enough the food was one the tastiest I fish and chips experience I had.

The weather was great, so we spent the first night on the almost-full patio. The service was a bit slow, but apparently they were short staffed, and there wasn't any rush. We had deep fried mushroom caps for an appetizer (most apps were some variety of deep fried). It was a good-sized serving, and cooked well. My partner had a chicken ceasar wrap, and I had the philly cheesesteak on a flatbread. Both were quite good, and the server didn't try and push fries on us. We weren't planning on coming back the second night, but our first choice closed early. We arrived a bit later and decided to dine inside. The decor is very casual, with some local art, and dartboards on the walls. Having seen the pizza the night before, I had to order it, and I was not disappointed. The "Canadian" we ordered was packed with pepperoni, sausage, and bacon, with plenty of cheese and sauce. The crust could use some improvement, it was likely pre-made from frozen. Still, the rest more than made up for it. We had a ceasar salad as an appetizer, and it was more than enough for two people, well-dressed, with lots of bacon. I'll definitely return next time I visit Killarney.

Couldn't ask for much more to be in this small town nestled on the outskirts of Killarney. We were camping at Killarney Provincial Park and Sportsman's was our oasis of civilization. We came down here to hang out with our pooch and were greeted by the most helpful and lively server. We sat on the deck to enjoy the view of the harbor out to Lake Huron where we watched boats pass by and people scurry around on the dock. The weather was right and the beers were cold. We were relaxing. It was a nice getaway from our campsite and we enjoyed every minute of it. Any place that serves up a killer basket of fries and has a good sandwich is a solid in my book. This place had all that and then some. If ever in the area we'll be back!
