Got there super late: Like around 3 pm on a Thursday and didn't see anywhere where we had to pay for admission prices so me and my friends just walked in? I guess since it was so late and they were closing at 4pm..I guess it didn't make sense to charge us the admisson prices. Closing time at 4 pm is way too early imho.. should stay open till 6 or something in order for people after work to take part. Lots of stuffs to see and do..there is a mini zoo with quite a few small animals for viewing such as fishes, turtles, porcupines, beavers I think this is more of a family outing with kids but definitely worth the Visit. The most interesting floor is the top level..it is too bad we arrived so late as I wanted to try the science stuffs. there is an elevator but getting up the floors was easy with an oval round stairs . There are lots of parking available at the back of the building, near the IMAX. However the entrance for the science center is in the front , which means there is a short 5 mins walk to get the science center

She was more concerned with potentially having to throw away some food than she was with adhering to my wishes and the agreed upon menu items. Since I paid quite a bit for the meals, I explained to her that it should not have been for her to worry about. When I complained she told me that I should have asked for something different at the time. Honestly, why should I have had to ask for something that should have been served in the first place and how was I to know that it was available if it hadn't been served? The whole thing was ridiculous. She offered me $3 off each child's meal because I was making a fuss. The money was not the issue. The issue was that all of the children were hungry because none of them wanted to eat the awful meal that was placed in front of them. In retrospect, I should have ordered them the same meal as the adults. It wasn't great, but it was adequate. The final slap in the face was when I asked about the cake. It was not ordered through them so I was told that they would not be putting it out or offering plates and forks for it to be served on. I would have to deal with it myself. Luckily, one of the servers saved me and offered to do it as the owner had left early. I was extremely disappointed with how everything was dealt with - from the disrespectful way the owner changed the menu without consulting me to the way she dealt with my concerns. It was the most expensive part of our wedding and the only glitch in our special day.

Had Bryston's cater our wedding recently and their service was the most disappointing part of our…read morespecial day. We did appetizers and a late night luncheon which consisted of poutine, pizza, and sandwiches. The portion sizes where embarrassing and not worth the price they charge for them. The poutines only had about 10 fries in each (my kids had to grab 2 of them just to get a half decent portion) This made it look like we cheaped out on our guests when it came to the catering, however talking to some of our friends that got married earlier in the year we paid almost double what they did for their appetizers and luncheon. The food that was provided was tasty but was a tease. The service staff was sub-par forgetting to put wine glasses out on the head table and we had to ask them to bring them out. Also they ignored our guest while serving the appitizers only serving a couple of people at the table then walking away leaving our guests with a cold shoulder. We had our planner who is a family member get a hold of the owner to inform them that we had issues with the service and were not pleased and would like to speak with them when we had returned from our honeymoon. We where told that the owner got defensive after being told that we were not happy with the service. But when we spoke with the owner they did apologize but came up with the excuse that " we are not use to doing just appitizers and late night luncheons..." but I gave her a guests # . They didn't offer to give us any money back even though they charged 15% gratuity and 5% admin charge. We had also asked for their professional opinion prior to placing the food order and for our 150 guests they said we would have plenty. In the end we had around 120 guests show up and we all went home hungry. In conclusion their food was tasty but the poor service and the way they handle customer complaints I could not recommend them to cater any event. We got way over charged for the very little we got. Thanks Bryston's for being the most disappointing part of our special day.

We asked the front desk reception when we arrived if we would get a king size bed, they said "yes". We were put in the "Ramsey Wing", which apparently has no king size beds. My boyfriend asked out of curiosity how many guests are staying at the hotel due to the lockdown, we figured not many people were travelling. He was told that there were ten rooms rented at the time. The ONLY reason why we were travelling is because of final exams that needed to be written at Collège Boréal, I digress...We checked in on Sunday and the hotel is pretty lacklustre. We usually stay at another hotel in Sudbury but got a better deal here. Things were fine until Tuesday night when the front desk staff decided to give the room next to ours to other guests. Our room shared a door with theirs which means that we heard everything that was going on next door! I was livid. I could not believe that in an EMPTY hotel the front desk staff thought it was a good idea to place strangers next to each other with a shared door. Why?! These people were loud, playing music, to the point where I had to call the front desk to complain because I had an exam to write in the morning. I was more upset about the Holiday Inn putting people next to us with a SHARED door in and EMPTY hotel than I was about being disturbed by said people. Talk about customer service. Know your rooms, know your occupancy and place guests accordingly. It's not hard. Also, the ice machine on our floor was broken, which I mentioned to the front desk on Sunday...They said that they would send someone from maintenance to fix it and never did. The ice machine on the 6th floor is also broken. This place is the pits. Avoid. (The only redeeming quality is that it is close to the Four Corners and many different dining options)...

She confirmed all my information, scanned my credit card, got me to sign or initial a form in several places, gave me 2 room access cards and pointed me in the direction of my room. Very nice! Very efficient! It's a nice hotel with lots of amenities like free WiFi, a 24-hour fitness room, a swimming pool, and a restaurant/dining room. There are gas stations, restaurants and malls close to this hotel and less than 5km to the City Centre downtown core. My room had two double beds and a good setup. The A/C was worth the $133 room rate!

A lot of attention has been put in every area of the resort: from the landscape to the buildings, from the restaurants to the bars, from all the different seating areas to all the trails, from the cabins to the marina and its docks. There are lots of activities to be done and keep you entertained: pool, sauna, indoor games, outdoor games, complimentary kayaks and canoes, bicycles, sailing classes, live music every night, etc. It is by far one of the most beautiful resorts we ever stayed, feeling warm and welcoming, upscale but not stuffy. NOTE: this review is for the main restaurant It is a large and beautiful restaurant, with indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside with view to the water. The food menu is small but with interesting options. The wine menu has good wine choices yet only few by by the glass. Every dish we had was delicious and well prepared. The beef tenderloin carpaccio was done correctly, tender and flavorful. The crab cakes were made with King crab so they have that sweetness of the King crab, and they were tasty and juicy. The Great Lakes Pine smoked trout was outstanding. The gnocchi was one of the best we ever had: very tender and the combination of flavors finished the dish in a manner that makes it different to the more common creamy or tomato sauces. NOTE: this review is for Carrousel bar (the round bar) and their pub food menu We are staying at Killarney Mountain Lodge and Marina. We came to this bar to listen to live music and have pub food for dinner. They have live music every night and Duncan Cameron is an amazing multi instrument musician, very talented. What we ordered from their food menu was very good. The signature house salad with trout was outstanding. The chicken wings were tasty, juicy and not greasy. NOTE: the coffee shop on the premises sells fresh baked goods that they make every day at the main restaurant. They have the best butter tarts we have had in Canada: with a shortbread cookie crust and a runny smooth center.
