We booked an appointment four months ago and told him we want third floor only, I called again a…read moremonth ago and mentioned again to them third floor and They said no problem. This is our regular hotel that we stayed at all the time and we've stayed here many times before. When we got there the third floor was not promised to us and we got the second floor, the problem with this is that you hear the people walking above you. We couldn't understand the receptionist and the manager was there and had to tell us what she was saying. We were very upset that they couldn't hold up their end and tell us about the third floor, they did give us a discount. There is no water pressure in the sink at all, however the shower is fine, but if you intend to sit in the bathtub you can't lock the drain it doesn't work. We have to continually log on to wifi as in the past we never had this problem. We came in after 10 o'clock last night and the front door was closed we had to knock on the door so they can let us in, I have never been to a hotel where you had to knock or use your pass code to get in through the front entrance. They said it was for security reasons, I guess the neighbourhood has changed and gotten rougher. In general it's very clean, but not up to our expectations, can I recommend this hotel not likely. The Sunday before we left I went down to check with my total bill will be for check out tomorrow and she quoted me $993, which was not correct she said she made an error was $924. The reason behind that is every time you log onto the Internet and you add your name and your room number it charges you again which she removed. When we are here in the past we had no problems no extra charges. I asked her about the additional 20% off it is wasn't on their computer system and she left a message for the manager Tim to call her and let her know. Now I get a knock on my door, asking to fix my shower curtain and there's nothing wrong with that guy had the wrong room. I went to check out and Peter told me that they took off $20.00 a day and told him Tim said 20% a day, he made the adjustments. When I returned home I checked online my bank statement and it showed that they swipe my card for the four nights plus $20 a night, just as we were told was only supposed to be swiped $20 a night as a security deposit. This is not the hotel it was the day it is changed, very disappointing

I think what made the Fairfield great was the hotel is spotless. It is one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. The bed was very comfortable which is also really important.

These folks are happy to apply an apologetic tone and concern when they are being told how to run a hotel but there are no clear standards for management where logistics are concerned. Before you allow their pointless sincerity to charge you full price for a fitness room that is closed and signless hallways leading to locked doors with "sorry" signs sending you back through a building with NO ELEVATOR, take any other option including staying at the bus terminal. Wait for the breakfast room which truly is being run nobody. After you stand in the doorway to hear people saying things out loud like "do they have plates" and "where do I find a cup", you will know you made a mistake. As a caterer and lifelong executor of food and crowd logistics, it was laughable, embarrassing and shamefully shameless. No worker here has ever set foot in a cafeteria setup. Stop apologizing for sucking at being a hotel, give people a proper checkout time, and work harder. A phone in every room might help also so we dont have to walk to the front desk to ask how the coffee machine works. Right now the owners are reading this and discussing how someone can't know how it works rather than why thy have no instructions for those who need them. That's why they are inconsiderate.

We picked best western as we figured it needed do hold itself to some sort of standards! Boy were we wrong! The area surrounding it was not desirable and the parking lot was across the street which self unsafe for us to park in and walk across. Luckily the hotel manager let us keep our car in the employee lot. When we walked in the hotel looked like the last time it was updated was 1981. Everything smelled of cigarettes and food. We went upstairs to our room and there were dirty socks left behind from the previous guest. My bed was filled with sand? We didn't check in until midnight and the stench and dirtiness of the hotel was so unsettling that we rested for a few hours and left first thing in the morning. You couldn't pay me a million dollars to stay there again.

It stayed on the website the pool was closed. I believe that may have accounted for the low price compared to other hotels Close by. Breakfast was so-so. I had oatmeal which was more like cream of wheat. I also tried the egg/cheese omelette. My husband had the egg/cheese, sausage and potatoes. He said the sausage was good. I self checked us out. There was a desk staff on the phone as we left. We did not have any contact with any staff while there. We would stay here again.

I can honestly say it has been since the early nineties that I have stayed in a hotel room that did not have a mini fridge and that is including other countries I have stayed in as well. Okay so I would have to get ice for my drinks and I couldn't bring left overs back to the hotel. Sucks, but not a deal breaker....well no cold drinks because the ice machine was broken for the entire time I was there. Onto the jacuzzi which was my main reason for picking this particular hotel in Sudbury. It was nice, but would have been nicer if all the jets worked instead of just half of them. I looked in on the pool, but never actually tried it because it was tiny compared to what the fish eyed pictures showed plus it was always filled. The poor staff could not even keep up with the wet foot prints everywhere and more than once I saw that they had run out of towels in the pool area and to bring your own towel down from your room. Wi-Fi. If you are not a Hilton member, you get the slowest of the slow wi-fi or can pay $5 a day for what is a complimentary service at most hotels. Seriously? Carpeting old and from the 80's. The kind that gives you motion sickness. Even better though, on the 5th floor, it is coming up in bumps in places like a nice big liability risk. Finally I opted out of maid service, but they did leave me a nice card saying if I needed anything to please call house keeping. Which I did for an extra roll of toilet paper-had to leave housekeeping a voicemail for such at 2pm. At 5pm it still had not arrived and when I called down there again but got voicemail again. A credit to the front desk because I called them asking if they could deliver a roll and they were at my room in less than 5 minutes. The stay was seriously just okay, possibly less than okay. I will be back to Sudbury but unless I was desperate, I will not be back to this hotel.

We asked the front desk reception when we arrived if we would get a king size bed, they said "yes". We were put in the "Ramsey Wing", which apparently has no king size beds. My boyfriend asked out of curiosity how many guests are staying at the hotel due to the lockdown, we figured not many people were travelling. He was told that there were ten rooms rented at the time. The ONLY reason why we were travelling is because of final exams that needed to be written at Collège Boréal, I digress...We checked in on Sunday and the hotel is pretty lacklustre. We usually stay at another hotel in Sudbury but got a better deal here. Things were fine until Tuesday night when the front desk staff decided to give the room next to ours to other guests. Our room shared a door with theirs which means that we heard everything that was going on next door! I was livid. I could not believe that in an EMPTY hotel the front desk staff thought it was a good idea to place strangers next to each other with a shared door. Why?! These people were loud, playing music, to the point where I had to call the front desk to complain because I had an exam to write in the morning. I was more upset about the Holiday Inn putting people next to us with a SHARED door in and EMPTY hotel than I was about being disturbed by said people. Talk about customer service. Know your rooms, know your occupancy and place guests accordingly. It's not hard. Also, the ice machine on our floor was broken, which I mentioned to the front desk on Sunday...They said that they would send someone from maintenance to fix it and never did. The ice machine on the 6th floor is also broken. This place is the pits. Avoid. (The only redeeming quality is that it is close to the Four Corners and many different dining options)...

She confirmed all my information, scanned my credit card, got me to sign or initial a form in several places, gave me 2 room access cards and pointed me in the direction of my room. Very nice! Very efficient! It's a nice hotel with lots of amenities like free WiFi, a 24-hour fitness room, a swimming pool, and a restaurant/dining room. There are gas stations, restaurants and malls close to this hotel and less than 5km to the City Centre downtown core. My room had two double beds and a good setup. The A/C was worth the $133 room rate!
