Got there super late: Like around 3 pm on a Thursday and didn't see anywhere where we had to pay for admission prices so me and my friends just walked in? I guess since it was so late and they were closing at 4pm..I guess it didn't make sense to charge us the admisson prices. Closing time at 4 pm is way too early imho.. should stay open till 6 or something in order for people after work to take part. Lots of stuffs to see and do..there is a mini zoo with quite a few small animals for viewing such as fishes, turtles, porcupines, beavers I think this is more of a family outing with kids but definitely worth the Visit. The most interesting floor is the top level..it is too bad we arrived so late as I wanted to try the science stuffs. there is an elevator but getting up the floors was easy with an oval round stairs . There are lots of parking available at the back of the building, near the IMAX. However the entrance for the science center is in the front , which means there is a short 5 mins walk to get the science center

If I could give this place 0 stars I would…read more We had to stay 4 nights. First of all, we asked for a king size bed. We asked the front desk reception when we arrived if we would get a king size bed, they said "yes". We were put in the "Ramsey Wing", which apparently has no king size beds. My boyfriend asked out of curiosity how many guests are staying at the hotel due to the lockdown, we figured not many people were travelling. He was told that there were ten rooms rented at the time. The ONLY reason why we were travelling is because of final exams that needed to be written at Collège Boréal, I digress...We checked in on Sunday and the hotel is pretty lacklustre. We usually stay at another hotel in Sudbury but got a better deal here. Things were fine until Tuesday night when the front desk staff decided to give the room next to ours to other guests. Our room shared a door with theirs which means that we heard everything that was going on next door! I was livid. I could not believe that in an EMPTY hotel the front desk staff thought it was a good idea to place strangers next to each other with a shared door. Why?! These people were loud, playing music, to the point where I had to call the front desk to complain because I had an exam to write in the morning. I was more upset about the Holiday Inn putting people next to us with a SHARED door in and EMPTY hotel than I was about being disturbed by said people. Talk about customer service. Know your rooms, know your occupancy and place guests accordingly. It's not hard. Also, the ice machine on our floor was broken, which I mentioned to the front desk on Sunday...They said that they would send someone from maintenance to fix it and never did. The ice machine on the 6th floor is also broken. This place is the pits. Avoid. (The only redeeming quality is that it is close to the Four Corners and many different dining options)...

She confirmed all my information, scanned my credit card, got me to sign or initial a form in several places, gave me 2 room access cards and pointed me in the direction of my room. Very nice! Very efficient! It's a nice hotel with lots of amenities like free WiFi, a 24-hour fitness room, a swimming pool, and a restaurant/dining room. There are gas stations, restaurants and malls close to this hotel and less than 5km to the City Centre downtown core. My room had two double beds and a good setup. The A/C was worth the $133 room rate!

One time, at band camp...no just kidding; one time when I was 14, there was a band called…read moreFurnaceface and I really liked this band. I heard they were coming to Sudbury and were going to play an all ages show so I did everything I could to come up with a bit of money and a ride, grabbed my best friend, and experienced my first ever live music show - at the Townehouse Tavern. This first experience has defined a lot of my life - music choices, friend choices, etc. I've gone on to see many shows and have many drunken (and sober) nights at the Townehouse. When I go home for a visit, it's always on the agenda. The bar has been going strong for close to 25 years now, booking a wide array of bands and musicians, some barely known and some well known. For a city like Sudbury, it's truly an impressive thing. I thought that perhaps I was being biased by giving the Townehouse 5 stars, based on my affinity for live music and pubs and the fact that there is a serious lack of each in Sudbury. But I don't think that's it - this is just a genuinely great bar, down to earth, good music, good people, good times. When you're booking amazing talent like Bedouin Soundclash, Bocephus King, etc. and won't submit to crap music, you deserve 5 stars. I can't sum it up much better than Paul does on the Townehouse website - there is a great about us section that outlines the history of the venue. My only complaints would be that the washrooms are kind of yuck and that the bouncers are sometimes a bit jerky because they work at the coolest and most 'alternative' bar in town. But, that counts for a few minutes of your night and then you're whisked back into 1994 or 2000 or whenever it was that you first happened to start frequenting the Townehouse - and I mean this is a good way. Your friends are there, a good band is playing, you play a round of foos and drink some beer. Could you really ask for anything more on a Sudbury Saturday Night?
