Sometimes you have a small group of littles and they somehow are fueled by the laughter of other kids and seem to possess unlimited energy. We camp closest to the beach. There is no shade there. We bring our own but at night, the stars are like street lights. It's beautiful. The moon at times feels like you could grab it. The ocean will put you to sleep like a Dr.s prescription. It's amazing. All the bathrooms get used a lot because of the amount of people who stay here but they are constantly being cleaned. The showers are a little strange to me but good. Don't try to park an extra vehicle on your spot even if only unloading. The parking is terrible BUT way down the road, on the "Day Use Area" is plenty of parking. Ya, we all hate parking in the D.U.A. They hold cultural events in the D.U.A. We've seen some awesome Native American dancers. They looked super cool. The beach access is at either end of the dune. The beach is clean and the waves aren't that vicious. The shore is nice and shallow. Low tide brings a whole different look to the area with smooth rock surfaces and cobblestones. Of course the ocean is always awesome.

Many folks were using the bbq's to grill with charcoal and so it smelled additionally fantastic.

Our annual Mothers Day trip was a blast so hubby and I came back to enjoy the park again with our new puppy. We love how close it is to town and make our way out for a nice dinner or to grab an ice cream cone and walk through some cute local shops. We love the quaint little towns surrounding the well kept state park. We got to see a bunch of Elk around and it was a cool experience.

We called over 72 hours in advance buy got a machine and proceeded to leave three messages throughout day that we would like to cancel. All calls were not returned that day. The next day was within 48 hours and again we had to call. The manager named Craig said he didn't care what we were told he's charging our credit card for a nights stay cuz he's the manager. He was very rude, short, and obviously on his own little trailer park power trip. I will dispute charge with my credit card company. Most unprofessional individual operating a camp spot I have ever experienced at the wonderful Oregon Coast so avoid this place at all cost.

We didn't have many issues during our two month stay, but when we did the manager Anna was always there to at least offer support, even if they couldn't fix our problem. I'd recommend you bring a 30amp dogbone just in case. They have 50amp plugs but we could never get it to work. With the dogbone, it worked perfectly. Over all, amazing price, great atmosphere, a short walk to the beach and close enough to walk to most everything in town. But, if you are the type of traveler that looks to be entertained by the park instead of by the surroundings, then this might not be the place for you. Great, more room for us because we will definitely be back!

She works hard to make sure your visit is tops. The park is super clean, bathrooms r immaculate, spaces r awesome, and it's is super quiet. The location is perfect. Salmon fishing in the morning and 8 minutes away, Happy Camp at Netarts Bay for either shore or in the bay crabbing, caught so many of them we had to take a break! We stayed for 2 months and in all that time, Kellie made sure our stay was awesome, the maintenance of the park was always maintained, and it was always quiet and fun!!

Check-in was easy even though we had to cancel one campsite due to people dropping out last minute. Staff had us go check which spot we liked better before checking us in. Showers and restrooms available. Campsite was clean. Beach access was close to site. Check-out was at 1:30pm. -Park hosts were there but didn't get in our way. Considerations for some: - Check-in is at 3:30pm. -Bathroom and showers are not sparkly clean. -Porta-pottys can get full and run out of TP. -There are large rings are the firepits. For us, this helped our anxiety with the kiddos getting too close. -Coyotes are around but leave you alone.

We came here with friends for lunch, and we couldn't have asked for a better afternoon! One of the best parts of the experience is that you get to pick out the exact crab you'd like; they are then cooked and cleaned for you right on the spot! They also offer clams to steam and oysters that you can shuck yourself if you're looking for a variety. After selecting your crab, you head inside the shop to pick out chips, canned sodas, or something from their variety of beers and sauces to pair with your meal; just don't forget to grab your butter, garlic, and lemons before paying! They also offer oyster shooters in a souvenir shot glass, though be warned that they are served frozen; you may find yourself finishing your meal with them instead of starting with them by the time they finally thaw. The crab was obviously super fresh; truly, nothing beats eating it fresh out of the pot! We also noticed they have a number of back-in RV sites overlooking the water; that is definitely something we'd consider for a future stay. If you're looking for an authentic, hands-on coastal experience, this is the place to be!

The parking is tucked back beyond the campground so it's not something folks just see from the road, which is nice because it can keep the casual drive-by visitors down and less-crowded. They have one restroom facility near the parking pay station, too. We've always visited on cooler days in the 60's, so I'm not sure how busy they get when it's actually warmer on the coast, but it's been a good spot for us to stop and have a little beachside picnic and walk along the coast for an hour or two.
