We didn't have many issues during our two month stay, but when we did the manager Anna was always there to at least offer support, even if they couldn't fix our problem. I'd recommend you bring a 30amp dogbone just in case. They have 50amp plugs but we could never get it to work. With the dogbone, it worked perfectly. Over all, amazing price, great atmosphere, a short walk to the beach and close enough to walk to most everything in town. But, if you are the type of traveler that looks to be entertained by the park instead of by the surroundings, then this might not be the place for you. Great, more room for us because we will definitely be back!

This park is extremely well maintained and best of all, it is a stone's throw to the beach. Also, wifi and cable tv, bathrooms are very clean. No laundry on site but there is a laundromat a few minutes away in town that we used. (While there, treat yourself to some ice cream and a ride on the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad!) We had a super sweet, shaded spot (#53) that had its own fire pit, was private and blissfully quiet except for a bird or 2 singing. We started every morning and ended each day with a walk on the sand with our dog. The beach was never crowded due to private access! Not so little things like the trash being regularly emptied and the area kept remarkably tidy, as well as an always full dog bag dispenser was greatly appreciated!! We will absolutely return and are already planning when! Thank you for all the effort you put into making this a fantastic park to stay at!!

I love that they continue to expand services - if you rent their boats, they will help you clean your catch and boil the crabs. The cafe is awesome! Great beverages and baked goods. Now they offer trash pick up service twice a day. The property is older, but I see the continuous efforts to upgrade and improve where they can. The fellow guests are always helpful and friendly. And pet friendly too. We like it here.

Between the…read moregorgeous weather, the great seafood, and the amazing view, it was a total highlight of our trip. One of the best parts of the experience is that you get to pick out the exact crab you'd like; they are then cooked and cleaned for you right on the spot! They also offer clams to steam and oysters that you can shuck yourself if you're looking for a variety. After selecting your crab, you head inside the shop to pick out chips, canned sodas, or something from their variety of beers and sauces to pair with your meal; just don't forget to grab your butter, garlic, and lemons before paying! They also offer oyster shooters in a souvenir shot glass, though be warned that they are served frozen; you may find yourself finishing your meal with them instead of starting with them by the time they finally thaw. The crab was obviously super fresh; truly, nothing beats eating it fresh out of the pot! We also noticed they have a number of back-in RV sites overlooking the water; that is definitely something we'd consider for a future stay. If you're looking for an authentic, hands-on coastal experience, this is the place to be!

We were lucky enough to catch the Northern lights while camping here, so this place will always hold a place in my heart for that experience alone. Our annual Mothers Day trip was a blast so hubby and I came back to enjoy the park again with our new puppy. We love how close it is to town and make our way out for a nice dinner or to grab an ice cream cone and walk through some cute local shops. We love the quaint little towns surrounding the well kept state park. We got to see a bunch of Elk around and it was a cool experience.

Check-in was easy even though we had to cancel one campsite due to people dropping out last minute. Staff had us go check which spot we liked better before checking us in. Showers and restrooms available. Campsite was clean. Beach access was close to site. Check-out was at 1:30pm. -Park hosts were there but didn't get in our way. Considerations for some: - Check-in is at 3:30pm. -Bathroom and showers are not sparkly clean. -Porta-pottys can get full and run out of TP. -There are large rings are the firepits. For us, this helped our anxiety with the kiddos getting too close. -Coyotes are around but leave you alone.

If you're looking for an affordable place to camp (everything from a minimal tent site to…read moreglamping), especially during a busy weekend like Labor Day when every other state park is full, this is your spot. They are NEVER full, because they have over 100 acres of open land available! Keep in mind that not all campsites are equal (some are closer to bathrooms than others, some have running water while others do not). None of the camping spots have electricity so plan accordingly (FYI unused RV sites have available120v outlets if you need to charge your phone for a bit). All the staff and other campers we encountered were friendly - most were there to do fishing & crabbing and just have a good time. We saw a few mega-groups of 20+ people occupying several adjacent spots that had impressive setup of including a bonfire, karaoke, full bar, etc that were all very welcoming to visitors.
