This campground is next to another campground and hidden behind a hotel, so initially it was a little hard to find. Once we did find the small sign telling us we arrived, the person working was very friendly and welcoming :) The site does have a good location, it's probably a 5 minute stroll to the ocean. Each campsite is a decent size, you have a fire pit, picnic table, and running water. Also the tent sites seem less on top of one another than other campgrounds I've stayed at.
That all being said, there were quite a few downsides. This campground nickels and dimes you for everything. A pet costs extra. Dumping a single bag of trash has a fee. It was almost $50 for one night to tent camp. While we were there it looked like every other tent site was closed, but somehow we got put right next to the only other campers there. That was fine, just odd. Unfortunately, our site was right next to the fence which was about 20 ft from someone's residence. We could hear them most the night. There was also a decent amount of street traffic most of the evening.
As stated on their website, there are wild rabbits here, tons actually. They are adorable to see and very use to people, but it was troublesome for our dog as he just wanted to chase them.
Overall, I would stay here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice. read more
