I have distanced myself from IPA'S for a short time as they are everywhere but in late Spring and early Summer I have gotten a hankering for them once again and so here comes the IPA'S rolling back. Flavors to have fun with in this flavor profile here are hoppiness, floral, some maltiness and a sweetness of a natural sort. It was very refreshing and the color of the beer is nice and bright. I suppose that description could also be added to the flavor profile as well. A nice introduction into this brewery and hopefully further beer experiences with Higherground in the future!

I had ordered a coke and they brought me a big carafe to refill as I wanted! Big problem was that they were making a ceiling repair in the bar area and it was very loud with banging and power tools! Another annoyance when they brought the bill was that they charged me $2 for swapping salad for fries. She said that was their policy, though she never mentioned it at the time. I paid the same as my husband even though he got salad and fries with his meal. I said, "so I could have got my sandwich with fries and a salad for the same price you charged for just salad and sandwich?" And she said yes! Makes absolutely no sense! So, kind of a mixed review. Well, this place is pretty outstanding and the pizza is just....stellar. From the crust, to the fresh and quality ingredients, the combinations are inventive, making it hard to choose. My favorite is the White Wedding pizza and Satisfaction. The jalapeño poppers are stuffed with smoked pulled pork as well as cheese! Need I say more? I eat here regularly and met the owners who recently passed the business down to family who make it a priority to carry on the great reputation it has earned. It's refreshing to see a business run by family who care about their community and want to continue to exceed expectations, attracting customers near and far where they won't find anything quite like this.
