When the facility needed something from me, they could contact me like it was the end of the world. However, when I needed someone at the school, getting a response was always very difficult. That is not acceptable when you are talking about someone's child. I tried to be reasonable. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. I tried to believe that my concerns would be addressed and that they meant what they said. I should have trusted my instincts. Because when I finally saw enough for myself to understand what was really happening, I was sick of it. If something feels wrong, don't convince yourself that you're being overly cautious. You aren't. Your child cannot advocate for themselves the way you can. You trust these people with something that is infinitely more important than your money, your schedule, or your convenience.
