I have given Kidz Club a 4 star 'I'm a fan' rating and I am indeed a fan. In fact, I feel somehow sorry for KIdz Club as it has become a bit of an unloved venue among the recent crop of indoor play areas in and around Belfast.
If Kidz Club was a person, you would put your arm around it and say 'Don't worry, we still love you' and maybe buy it a drink. The inside is a bit tired and dated and the cafe could do with a make over. Having said that, my kids totally love it. The X factor for them is the enormous inflatable slide right in the centre which must be 30 feet high. They tend to ignore the perferctly good play frame and spend an hour climbing up and then bouncing down the huge slide, screaming with laughter the whole time. The slide alone is worth the £4 entry fee.
Although there is a cafe, you can bring in your own goodies to save a few pounds. One nice thing the cafe does do is a really good dairy ice cream. There isn't really anything else on offer which would tempt you so it might be better to plan to go somewhere else for lunch.
There is another huge section next door to the slide which has about half a dozen bouncy castles and is great for the kids to go mad in. However it isn't always open if there aren't many people there but I think there aren't many people there because that section isn't open, so a bit of a catch 22.
Kidz Club is a bit of an old timer but I love it and so do my kids so give it a chance. read more
